We recently bought several tons of rock for a job we were asked to do. The 6 hour delivery window is a joke. It was delivered too late to finish the job that certain day. Their communication skills are at a 3rd grade level. We will never use Pioneer again !!!!! YOU SUCK PIONEER !!!!!

It is a mediocre company, they do not hire enough staff, they have only one loader operator, knowing that they have too many clients and we waste time waiting for that single loader to finish loading the line of trucks that are arriving and if we, the private vehicle customers, are They load the trucks first, they have to wait, wasting their time too, why not hire more employees????? to make the work more efficient, but they prefer to exploit and tire out a single person and make us waste our time waiting, for that reason you are a mediocre company, lacking empathy towards your own staff and towards us clients, you only care about money, You do not care about our public opinion, we deserve respect for our time and money spent on you, also in that office there is only one employee serving and he does not provide adequate attention because he is answering phone calls apparently ordering material, supervising the scale of the trucks to be able to collect and finally take the order from us customers who are in the office waiting in line, my respects to the manager and the operator who work there, it is very obvious to you executives of that company that you do not care about your employees who They don't even have a good office, they have them working in an old and unhealthy trailer and with old operating machines with the risk of accidents to themselves or our vehicles. What does the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) think of this???? pioneer are a racist company for treating them like slaves, like robots, every time I am waiting for my purchase I see the effort of the manager and the operator to do an efficient job as quickly as possible, but it is impossible!! They are not to blame for the lack of personnel, it is the fault of the corporation that controls that large mediocre company. It is truly sad and sad to see the lack of common sense and empathy of you pioneer landscaping materials, racist company!! labor exploitation is the only thing they make perfect and raise the price of materials as if they were selling diamonds! !

Horrible customer service. After purchasing loads of gravel from them all day, we had one last load to pick up. It was near closing time and we called to be sure we could pick up one last load. We were told as long as we got there by 2:00 they would help us. We got there at 2:00, scaled and were given a green light. We drove to the gravel site and waited for the loader. Soon after, a person walked up to us and said they were closed. The manager came out and said the loader operator was doing them a favor by working for them that day and he had to leave- but in fact he was still on site. We were told if we wanted it we had to shovel it ourselves. We (2 senior adults) shoveled 1 ton of gravel into the back of the trailer while the loader operator sat in his car and watched. Will never return to them again and I DO NOT recommend using them! This was the Pioneer on Valencia on Saturday 2/24/24.

From placing the order to the delivery of the product, Pioneer on W Valencia has been amazing. Chris, the driver, called me 45 minutes out. When he got here, he made sure he understood exactly where the pavers were to be placed. He unloaded with proficiency, had and has excellent customer service, and did it all with his kind smile. Thank you, Chris, so very much.

I have to say use at your own risk. This was a great company 15years ago when I built my home. Used them for all of my landscaping needs. Fast forward and had a delivery of rocks to match what I had before all was great until the delivery driver backed into my wall destroying my brick wall and iron gate. At 1st the company was all over coming out and taking pictures etc. They told me to get estimates and would send me an email with info to send estimates. Of course I never received anything and the manager that I spoke with has since left the company. I have called and emailed from the corporate website and called the local Tucson store on several occassions. No response from my emails and calling the store does nothing!!! The accident occured in June and it is November and absolutely nothing has happened. I so dislike writing negative reviews but hopefully this will finally get some attention from someone at PIoneer that will finally help me get my wall fixed!

They have a (large) one page price sheet, and sample boxes all along the exterior of the office, so comparison shopping is easy and straightforward. Great selection.

I just purchased 9 tons of Gravel, it was very doubtful that the driver would be able to get the material in the right place, me and my wife were very worried that it might not even be possible, Marlin (the driver) he was very helpful and he said he was gonna try his best to position exactly were we needed it WOW ! What a great driver, very positive attitude, he calmed us down with his great attitude and affirmed us that he will try his best and he sure did! we need more people like him! Very professional and respectful! Thank you Pioneer for such great service! Will come back to you again!

Ordered online first, and then went into the Valencia location to confirm I purchased the right gravel. Troy was helpful with making my purchase and explaining the delivery process. Will come back for the good customer service.

I bought ten tons of gravel to spread on my driveway. 25% of the weight of the gravel was dirt! When I presented this to the management they pulled out a piece of paper that I never saw when I made the purchase which said the gravel can be up to 30% particulates. The contract I signed said the gravel was screened which it was not. A worker and I screened about 5 tons of the gravel to rid it of over a ton of dirt!I will never buy from this company again!

I would never buy from Pioneer again. They delivered over 60 tons of rocks, but with 10% dirt (as the image shows). They charged me for the dirt. When I asked for redress, they were dismissive and told me @I’m lucky, could be up to 30% dirt “ (again, which I would have paid for. Beware the contract, they call dirt “fines,”. I called the manager who directed me to another number to complain. They were defensive I believe then to be dishonest

This is a Spanish speaking only location! They were very annoyed that I was speaking English they would continue to talk in Spanish only and would only answer me in Spanish. Very rude and disrespectful. Twice I was quoted a different price and they kept changing and charging additional fees. Never ever going here again! Remember Spanish speaking only at this location!
