One star only because it wasn't even open during business hours and then we learned that Barnes and Nobles will be running all Pima community college bookstores.

Trying to call store within what is listed as their work hours and no one is picking up. Getting concerned if it’s my phone or somethingWould like someone to at least tell me to hold on while waiting on the line. But it keeps ringing before disconnecting.Another campus had a answering machine with their operating hours. There’s also a issue with a book that for some reason has not been stocked. And there are supposed to have it. It’s someone’s fault I’m not sure but I feel like my frustration is looking at them to blame.

What in the absolute hell. It's January 6th and I've been going back and forth with them since before thanksgiving to try to transfer from another college and register for classes. The downtown campus isn't allowing advisors on-site...so the only way to speak with them is via email. The advisor I spoke to takes days to respond and here I am again waiting on hold to speak with someone because she hasn't gotten back to me again. Anytime I've called I've gotten a different answer or someone who can't answer a simple question. I've never had the runaround like I have received at pima. Staying one semester and going back to my old school. I understand Covid has made things difficult but pima is going out of their way to make things challenging. If students and others are allowed on campus why aren't advisors when it's the main time of year they are needed?

It's so stressful trying to get everything situated so that I can register for classes. Every time I call for help or make sure I'm on the right path, they always point me to someone else. I literally had to have a Education State Counselor work with me and make sure i submitted all the required information. Little did I know, there were so much other to-do's that you don't see for "New Student To-Do list"

The problem with this school is the systems in place. They don't work! You can't talk to anyone in FA they have a number but its basically outsourced and they give you status NOTHING else. The registering for classes system sucks, hardly works. The instructors are hit or miss. I have had great ones and not so great. The campuses are clean but not very protected. You rarely see the school police except near their office. Which, with the increase in violence you would think they would be walking campus and have a presence for night students. I think they all clock out at 5pm. Student Services is hit or miss. Half the time they are in a mood. I can keep going but I think you get the point. Its affordable but you also pay a price in other ways to save the buck.

I'm only giving this place of 'learning' a star because yelp makes me. I have taken one semester here and the only good I got out of it were new friends. I had four classes, which all seemed to....lack something, I could never really figure out why. I thought to myself, maybe I just got teachers that just didn't really vibe with me, let's see how next semester is, and I'll go from there. After about two weeks I just realized, nope, all the teachers here are all the same. They all act like it's such a chore to be there. They have this 'I'm only here for a paycheck' vibe, and pretty much treat us like a bunch of children. It's sad to say it reminded me of being in TUSD and that's just sad. After that semester I just couldn't do it there, and I had a friend who did theatre at the west campus so I decided to give that a try. (I don't have the money for the u of a and Pima is really the only other place here that is accredited. Ugh so annoying!) I was much more impressed by that campus, the teachers there are great. I liked it a lot more over there, they SEEMED to have their stuff together. That was until....I signed up to have my third semester there. I signed up for classes, did my FASFA, turned it in. Waited, waited....waited some more and nothing. I called FASFA, they never received my application. What. What do you mean? I thought okay, let me call the school. I tried to get ahold of the financial aid head, left a message. Two days passed (not a weekend) called again, left another message. This happened two more times. FINALLY after trying to get ahold of her for two weeks, I call and amazingly she was at her desk. Only little did I know I was better off just not talking to her at all. When she answered I said nothing about my messages or attempted calls, and I was being extremely nice and I told her I think something happened with my FASFA and that they didn't get it but I turned it in. She instantly snapped back to me that I was probably wrong and that her people don't mess up. I told her that I wasn't really upset, I just needed to know what I needed to do to get everything in order. She then told me you need to do what everyone else does turn in your original FASFA application and if it's really that difficult for you there are people that can help you at the school. Have a good day. And she hung up. At that point I decided to never step foot on any campus of theirs, ever, and to let everyone know who asked, my experience here.
