when the info booth staff are over 40, this place cant be beat but if they re in their 20s, its a waste of time. they dont know, shrug their shoulders and dont have the wherewithal to find a staffer who can answer simple questions. im pretty sure you guys carry what i wanted but after asking 2 staffers, i walked out and am headed to another nursery

I've been coming to Mesquite for decades now, ever since I was a kid. My family and Mesquite Growers fostered my green thumb back then, and now, whenever I need a high quality plant that I know has been cared for, I come here. Recently bought a whole bunch of indoor plants for my place and I love the endless variety.
The annual Run for the Roses event is a reoccurring event that I look forward to every year. Great memories and the roses are absolutely gorgeous.

Huge and so peaceful. I could've spent hours and a fortune on plants. The staff was all very friendly too.

Really well operated nursery. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of plant choices and it's well organized. Plants change with seasons of course.

I received extraordinary customer service here today by employee Trinidad. She noticed I was using a mobility device and approached me to offer to fetch plants for me. She suggested I sit on their bench while she raced around the store bringing me lots of different plants to consider. She was incredibly polite and friendly and I was able to purchase lots of beautiful plants without struggling physically. Her respect and courtesy made my day. She's a jewel! Melissa also pitched in as I made my final plant selections. She was very friendly and helpful, too. Great team!

Got a flat of Dichondra for my turtle. After 2-3 weeks we noticed it was being eaten by something. But our green house is bug free. Come to find out it was infested with these tiny, really tiny snail. Looks like a little circles until you see the snail come out. Person who answered phone said since it’ been 2-4 weeks no refund, which is fine. But no replacement either? Tough call on customer service side. That one little bad service means we will be using a different nursery forever. And the pic is of 1/100th of the amount of snails we pulled off.

Visited yesterday for the first time and was very impressed with the quality and selection of plants. But, most impressive, was the help and kindness of the staff out back. In particular, Michael helped us to find the trees and plants that fit our needs for our home project. He was so kind and knowledgeable and made thoughtful suggestions that really helped us out in a big way. If Mesquite Valley is a great place to visit and shop, it is due - in large part - to the high quality customer service provided by people like Michael.
Local businesses that support staff to take time to really help out customers is a trait that deserves to be supported. So we will absolutely be returning here in the future!

We've been costomers since the 1970's. Occasionally we have had issues around returns on a pot, but happy with service and selection. Over the last 3-4 years several of the familiar staff have left. The culture at Mesquite appears to be less caring. Today, I was frustrated with lack of inventory on Pots. I asked if they could be ordered. The associate said no. I was advised to call back to talk with an employee in charge of pots. I apologized for being frustrated. The response was "you're rude". Then a "hang up". Nathan, The Son of one of the owners called me back. He said, the employees don't deal with rude customers. He wasn't interested in improving customer relation. "We don't care....".
There are still good things about Mesquite. Too bad the culture around customer service is deteriorating.

Me and my daughter were shopping and a female employee came up to her and said to her to stop touching and hitting things and started harassing her and my daughter was confused and a little scared because she had done nothing and when she came to me and told me I walked up to the employee she said that my daughter was completely being inappropriate and hitting things and I believed my daughter because she is the most behaved girl I know and that employee was lying and I believe it would have to do something with our skin color because we are dark skinned and she completely harassed a 9 year old

Beautiful nursery with an huge variation of plants and lots of garden knick nacks. I could spend hours there, really cool vibe. A bit pricy but I think it’s warranted. We will be back with the pups next time for a little outdoor adventure ?
