This is an old fashioned butcher shop the kind my nana used to have in her day. I am so glad to have found this little gem. My order was packaged and ready for the freezer in minutes. The chorizo is the best. The owners are wonderful and so nice. I can't say enough and I will be returning regularly.

Good products but the lady ( i don't know if is the owner) but she will be better as a sargent. Very rude for a business person. Sorry i was expecting a better treatment for me, being the first time as a customer.

Islas Meat Market located at 702 W. Irvington Rd., #1 (just west of 12th Avenue). They open at 0900. I bought 6 lbs of beef tripe and 5 lbs of hominy for a total of $30.47. Supposed to serve 10 people. The tripe and corn are usually pretty clean, but I'll clean again. This morning there wasn't any cilantro, green onion, or bread.
