I am a Hertz Platinum member. Rents from Hertz # weekly so I’ve seen most Hertz # locations across the country. This is without a doubt dead last. When I fly into Tucson, I put my status aside and rent with national. Do not rent from this location. The cars are filthy in the front desk. People are simply mean.

I’ve been a gold member for a couple years. I’m quitting because hertz charges twice as much for cars and I done see why. The cars and service aren’t any better than enterprise, Alamo, & all the others. Car rentals went way up in price diluting Covid for no good reason and it’s an absolute rip off when it comes to hertz.

I can't say much about the location because I only went there after hours. However, the customer service for this company is phenomenal and just for that I recommend anyone that needs to rent a car to go to them!

Most frustrating rental experience I've ever had in my life. Picked up my rental after hours from the FBO. Trying to get a reciept for DTS has proved impossible. I have 6 individual charges for the 3 day rental on my account totaling over $3000. After spending an hour getting through their HORRIBLE robot phone tree, I finally get a person who says none of my info is in the system and hangs up on me. This is beyond infuriating.Edit: To be clear, this is with the national support hotline and corporate policies. The local workers themselves are just fine.

Got a car on Feb 3. 2024. After only a few minutes in the car the smoke smell was overwhelming. Two days into the rental I tried the AC and only hot air came out. That won’t work in AZ. Returned the car and one of the workers (Pablo-only bald guy working there) gave me such a sarcastic, unprofessional attitude for the reasons of the return, I’m not likely to return there when business brings me back to Tucson. Go to another company that takes care of the cars and has good customer service.

I had rented a car from this location during my stay In Tucson, and I went to the desk before my flight because I lost my credit card and thought maybe I had left it in the car during my rental so asked about lost and found. It was 6:40am. The woman who was working the counter would t look at me, so I said hello thinking maybe she didn’t see me. She told me the window opened at 7am and she could help me then. I told her my flight was leaving soon and that the guys outside could check if I left something in the car and that she could check inside at 7am. It was such a rude interaction I could hardly believe it. I’ve never experienced this kind of customer service from Hertz and I used to be a loyal customer.

0/10 if I could. I was surprised by an extra $200 on my credit card, ten days after my rental. It took me an hour of corporate phone calls just to have my receipts sent to me so I could make sense of anything. I was never informed that there would be an extra charge for an added driver, and most rental companies do not do this.Once I finally saw something in writing, I saw that the electronic keypad signature I used to “add my driver” also agreed to the fee. Obviously, I was never able to actually see these words anywhere. Additionally, I was charged a concession fee twice, once on my original rental, once for an added driver. Despite repeatedly asking them to drop this additional $67 charge, since I had proof from my original agreement that I’d already paid a concession fee, Hertz will not accept a copy of their own receipt that they emailed directly to me.You will NEVER reach anyone in person here. Even drop off was confusing, at 4:30 AM, and I was afraid I left my rental with scammers. It took hours for my partner to even get ahold of anyone to make sure the car was received, and that was through a corporate contact. Of course, I didn’t get a receipt at this point either, and the girls present refused to let me use the drop box.Lesson learned- corporations are corporations. I hope $200 was worth it to never see the money of a frequent flyer again. I get that a 3.4 rating is better than the 2.1 from everyone else at TUS, but at least Enterprise is a functional business.

We had issues with both our EV vehicles. (Don’t rent them in Tucson- chargers are hard to find and only 1/2 work)When we asked to change to a gas car they only said no. No option to get another car on a different day (we have it for a week).Trying to call hertz to get them to change the reservation is a nightmare of loops that don’t get you to anyone that can help.Made me lose a lot of confidence in what is supposed to be the top rental company.

Tried to rent a car for a few day. You guys wanted to take an extra 500 hundred deposit. When we told you we were dropping off the car bc we were driving back with a u haul you said we couldn't do that because we didn't have a flight booked. Ridiculous customer service and charging more than what we were quoted. We won't book with you guys ever again.

They should try and make the customer happy. I really believe that i was treated differently Because of my color. But I saw the reviews and they treat everyone bad and don't listen to your concerns.

Don’t reserve a Tesla 4 weeks in advance (even if there is nothing “similar”. They won’t save one for you, and will give you their customer service voice and smile in your face when they have none available.

Avoid renting from this location. There were only two costumers in front of me but still took over 20 minutes before I got to counter. As Presidential Circle Member, I've rented from a quite a few Hertz locations of the years, this was one of worst experiences I've had.The actual pick-up, usually the paperwork is completed, I simply show my license and sometimes credit card and I'm on my way. Not here, to make matters worse I got the "fake upgrade" meaning, they didnt have the car I reserved a 4 door sedan and instead put me into a dirty 2 door sports car, not what I wanted. When I questioned it it was all that was available, so not a true upgrade, just the car they had.

I declined the prepaid fuel when asked at pick up and brought vehicle back full, only to see a fuel charge. They do not refund fuel charges. Pretty shady. The vehicle was good however. Just a bad end to an otherwise good trip. Would likely use a different company in the future

I strongly discourage renting from Hertz's Tucson Airport location. Despite being a Presidents Circle member due to my frequent rentals, my recent experience was far from satisfactory. After returning the car, the staff accused me of returning it with a cracked windshield, which I had no knowledge of. I never noticed any damage while using the vehicle, and this news came as a shock.I contacted LaShawana Brown, who had sent the email, seeking assistance and proof of the alleged damage. However, her response was unhelpful and rude. She simply told me to fill out a form, with no willingness to address my concerns or provide any clarification. As a loyal customer, I expected better treatment and a fair resolution. This incident raises questions about transparency and professionalism at this Hertz location. I advise others to exercise caution when renting here. If you rent from this location make sure you have detailed pictures and video before you leave and when you return! Again excercise caution when renting from this location.
