Wow, could not be happier with the magic Donna performed on this old child’s trunk. The trunk is a family memento, almost 100 years old. I wanted it to be usable/clean yet still hold its charm. Donna cleaned the outside, fresh coat of paint on black panels. She even found vintage leather to use for handles. Unfortunately, inside papering would crumble to the touch. I requested to just paint the interior to have a fresh look. This trunk is gorgeous and will continue to pass through the family. Donna was very friendly, offered great suggestions and did excellent work. I highly recommend Harwood’s for any furniture repair.

Friendly and excellent workmanship & gave us valuable advice. Great value with affordable pricing. We had our complete kitchen cabinets stripped & sanded in order to finish ourselves. They turned out great!

Donna and Steve did an excellent job refinishing two solid wood doors with intricate trim. It had been stripped by another woodworker who damaged them. Harwood's performed a miracle in rescuing them and they look beautiful now. It took six weeks, however, and if you are in a hurry you should make it clear. I intend to use them in the future.

Donna and Steve restored my mid century German shrunk. For those who are not familiar, A German shrunk, or schrank, is a type of tall furniture that can be a combination of cabinetry, shelving, drawers and closets. Mine is a cabinet for dishes and glassware with a bar. It took a few months and was not inexpensive, but the quality of the work was well worth bringing back this piece to its former glory. I was so happy I had them repair another small table and a living room end table damaged in a recent move. The only sad thing is that I'm moving out of Arizona and away from them and their great work. Hope others can benefit from what they do.

I special ordered a really pretty cabinet from a local furniture store. Unfortunately the color was not at all what I thought I'd be getting. The store was not terribly sympathetic despite the fact that I was very unhappy but they felt I had made the error. So, after looking at the cabinet for a few weeks and realizing the color did not fit in my house at all, I sought out Harwood's. It's really only a two person business but Donna and Steve were wonderful to work with. I had a couple of options but completely stripping the cabinet and refinishing it was going to cost almost as much as the cabinet itself. But they had a great idea. So for alot less I ended up with a cabinet I love and get many compliments on. They worked to get a color that they knew I'd be happy with and the work itself looks like a better finish that was originally put on the cabinet. They really went above and beyond to get it right. Donna and Steve were really a delight and though they were working on many larger, more expensive pieces that I'm sure were making them alot more money, they treated my cabinet as if they realized how important it was to me. I would recommend Harwood's to anyone looking to have furniture refinished. You'll enjoy the experience.
