.Obviously, they do not know how to slice the iberico Jamon. Too thick. Paid over $60 for only 9 slices. You can feel those guys behind the counter trying their best to do a good job. But they are lack of training. The 45 days dry aged Ribeyes is just ok not much of beefy flavor. Foie gras is good quality

We took the opportunity to try a couple of rib eyes from Forbes Meat Company and we loved them. Although expensive at $22/lb at the time I write this we don't eat a lot of beef and found these steaks to be way above the quality you get at the big name grocery stores. My only complaint and the cause of 4 stars instead of 5: The company moved to 6th Street in the Sam Hughes area, but I drove to the old downtown location because Forbes hasn't updated their web site. Hopefully they will fix this but don't make that mistake like I did.

Absolute disaster of a company. Took a steer to process in April from the County Fair and just provided the customer with processed beef at the end of August. The steer had a live weight of 1055 pounds and they provided the customer with 163 pounds of meat. Now they are putting additional burden on the customer in order to rectify the situation instead of doing everything they can to correct their mistakes. Would absolutely not recommend giving them your business.

Great selection of meats. Still has the local, small feel of a neighborhood market which is a nice change for Tucson. Support your local meat market and buy small. Guaranteed to find something tasty for dinner and options for everyone's palette. Lots of sausage options too and unique flavors, be sure to grab a pack!

Recently bought Australian and Japanese A5 wagyu here. Amazing product on both. Marbling was as posted in photos. Top quality. While in Tucson I called them up and they were more than polite. They treated me very well and I will be a returning customer.

My husband and I have been purchasing whole and half beeves for a few years now. Last year, we gave Forbes a try and now, we'll never use ANYONE ELSE. The customer service is top notch (we both work in customer service, so we know)! Ben and his team are the most pleasant and knowledgeable butchers, as well as people, you could find! We have gotten close to 1000# of meat from Forbes and every single pound has been absolutely delicious! The taste and flavor of the beef is far superior to any cut I've ever had from a conventional grocery store, or from farms within the state advertising "grass fed". Forbes grass fed is quality you can taste it but its not overly gamey like other grass fed meat we've had. It cooks up well and taste like BEEF! I dream about the ribeyes, they are that good!! They also offer other meats like pork and chicken, make their own sausage with a variety of flavors, bone broth and many other options! Don't see it, don't hesitate to ask! We believe it is a beautiful thing to know where your food comes from, and we are honored to know Ben and his team at Forbes and look forwards to be able to patronage them for many years to come!

Forbes Meat Market was excellent, as well as Melissa, who helped me get the whole pig(s) I needed when a last minute failure put me in a bind. Melissa was able to fill my order by combining and custom cutting. Service, price and quality were great. I’ll be a forever customer. Thank you Forbes Meat Market.

This place is a gem! Stopped by today for the first time with my kid in tow. This is not like any other butcher I've ever been to. Located on the side of Thunder Canyon brewing, with a completely nondescript entrance. They have a few large freezers, chock full of everything you may want. A couple dozen different types of sausages (who doesn't loved encased meats?!) ducks, chickens, stocks, several cuts of meat from every farm animal, even some testicles if you're into that sort of thing. The guy at the door took us into their walk in where they're dry aging meat, and have a bunch of other fresh cuts ready, including some wagyu if you feel like blowing a paycheck. We chose a couple of bone in pork chops, curry wurst, weisswurst, bangers, and some hatch Chile cheddar brats. I've been in the F&B industry for a while, lived all over the US, and it's clear that these people take their craft seriously. It isn't cheap, but quality is extremely high. Great spot, and my go to in Tucson as long as I'm here.

So I wouldn't say this was my best experience. The staff was great. However, something rubbed me wrong. Their meats are frozen and in a freezer! I probably won't be going back. I wasn't expecting to have to thaw my meat. When I think of a butcher, I'm not thinking of frozen meat.

Best quality prime rib I've ever bought. Normally I age and season my own for holiday meals. So it felt a little risky letting someone else do it. They did such a great job so I'm happy I trusted the experts. Everyone at my dinner table was thrilled.
