I can't believe how well I can see. Dr. was knowledgeable and knew my diabetes has affected my eyesight. Thanks eyeglass world!

I was surprised to find the store empty on a Saturday afternoon. After my eye test, I knew why. Karen Rosen OD made conflicting statements and rolled her eyes when I asked for clarification. "Cataracts can account for vision changes. Everyone at our age has cataracts." When I asked her to clarify which vision changes were attributed to cataracts, she said, "you don't have cataracts." That's just 1 example. When I asked her to wear a mask, she said "I've been vaccinated 6 times, I don't need a mask." But I had not yet had the updated vaccine! She left the room and reluctantly returned with a mask. She disagreed with me when I said 1 lens was clearer than another (when I said the 2nd was better, she said "no, I think it's the first"). She did not examine my left eye at all. The pupillary distance was left blank on the Rx. I didn't mention any of this to her because by that time I just wanted to leave the store as quickly as possible! I'm reluctant to have this Rx filled; waste of $84.

Got my first pair of prescription glasses at Eyeglass World at 7204 East Broadway Boulevard in Tucson recently and would not recommend this place. Spent over 30 minutes with one of the reps going over my prescription when I ordered, what I wanted, etc... I made it clear that I had never had prescription glasses before and it was also made clear that I wanted transitions. They had to be ordered so I picked them up 10 days later. I wore them OUTSIDE twice and they would not transition. Took them in today and was told that I didn't have the transitions that had immediate effect. Not once was I told that there are 2 types of transitions (which sounds like a scam and I've yet to meet someone who has heard of this) and if I want immediate transitions now, I have to pay $40 extra, on top of the 300+ I've already paid for 1 pair of glasses that I can't wear when I drive (except at night) or in the sun unless I want to wait at least a minute for them to change (they will transition only when in bright, direct sunlight and when exposed for about 1 minute). Will NEVER use this place again.

Little on the pricey side, but ecstatic that I was able to get one of my two pairs today. Prescription matched exactly(I've always had an issue of it getting messed up when I've gone elsewhere). First time using Eyeglass World and am greatful for it.

I am so impressed with my visit. I am especially thankful to the optometrist Karen Rosen who has the experience to understand my unique monovision challenges and was able to ensure I got the exact right prescription needed for my new distance glasses, computer glasses, and multifocal contact lenses. It was also impressive to be able to pickup my reading glasses same day and they are just perfect. Thank you SO MUCH for making this process accurate and easy for me!

Please be careful. I got my glasses and couldn't see very well with them, so I took them back. They made an adjustment, but I still don't see very - things are blurry. They pretty much told me that they can't help me. So now I'm out of $400+ dollars and can't see very well. I don't know, maybe it's my eyes, they're pretty bad to begin with. This is the second time in a very long time that I've left the eye doctor with new glasses worse than the ones I came in with. The 1st time, I didn't say anything and suffered. Now I'm saying something and i still have to suffer. This is the Broadway location in Tucson.

I went in to get my exam, the Doctor was very knowledgeable. She gave me very detailed information, which shows her passion in the field. The staff was friendly, and I took my time looking for glasses. I didn't feel rushed, and I appreciate my experience here!

They scratched both lenses with the lensometer then denied they did it, accusing me of lying, then kicked me out saying I was being rude. Horrible experience. Apparently I did this before I got there and they didn't notice it when they used the lensometer...yaa, right.

They scratched my lenses equally on both lenses then denied it, accusing me of lying. They then kicked me out, for being rude, threatening to call security.

The optometrist was good and I received a good exam. I then sat down with a technicien/salesperson . My insurance paid for the exam and frames. She then told me my lenses would cost me, out of pocket, over $300 dollars, for progressive lenses. And she said normally it would be $600, BUT THEY WERE GIVING ME A DISCOUNT. I said that sounds like a lot. Went to Alvernon Optical with my prescription , progressive lenses cost me $75.

I had an eye appt about 8 months ago with an Opthamologist but, my insurance did not cover eyewear, so I didn't pay the extra $30 for a script, and was told my script hasn't changed in 15 yrs, and I was skeptical. So, waited til my Medicare kicked in, and made an appt. with Eyeglass World at Broadway and Kolb in Tucson. Receptionist who also handled the first part of the exam was astounding. Dr. KAREN, the Optometrist, not so good. I only use my glasses for reading, but you would think I was blind as a bat. I kept telling her I had no problem reading street signs, and she had the balls to argue with me. She said I had the start of a cataract, which the Opthamologist said I did not. I asked Dr. KAREN how long it would be to grow further. She could have simply said POLITELY that she did not know, but no.... she said wiith a nasty tone "I DON'T KNOW." Again, it was the tone she used. I get she doesn't know, but she could have been polite about it. At the end of her exam she just said for me to go to the front. I asked if that's where I get the glasses, and again, her flippant response was "that's their job!" The very young girl upfront sat me down, played with the computer, didn't speak to me while doing so, and then said..... your insurance covers $200 for glasses. That was it. I picked a pair that was $99, and she then tells me my share would cost $129. WHY? I asked. Well, the dr. wants this that and the other for you. Did the dr. ask ME if I wanted progressives? Why do I need progressives if I'm only using them for reading? Why do I need this tint, that whatever? i said I would be better off NOT using the ins, and going for the 2 for $89 or 99 whichever it was and the free exam. She STILL had me at almost $150. I was so p'd off that I went silent, and told her this is what we are going to do. you are going to just get me the script, and I will then leave.... and look for me on YELP! So, I'm keeping my word. Tonight I ordered my READING PRESCRIPTION GLASSES ONLINE. They haven't come in yet, but they were very reasonably priced! DR. KAREN AND THE CHILD UPFRONT needs some serious lessons in how to deal with people!!!!!! I bought my glasses online!
