Everybody that I came in contact at this office, were professional and so very compassionate. I lost my Daisy last year and they put up with my urgent calls and visits. They understood my pain and were very patient. While I still cry when I think about her, I decided to get another dog and I already love her. I got her from the Human Society. I am definitely going to see Dr. Kaufman again. He even emailed me Daisy's results!. I couldn't believe how accessible he was when I needed information.
Thank you guys again. I just made an appointment to take Sadie (my new dog) in to get her shots.

I have been meaning to update my review of this veterinary office for quite some time now, and let me just say, this is one of those rare exceptions where I feel compelled to share my experience. Simply put, this office is AMAZING. My dog has been under the care of Dr. Kauffman since my initial review over four years ago, and I am thrilled to say that I am still as impressed today as I was back then. Dr. Kauffman and his staff treat my dog, Kiba, like family -- hmm no, scratch that -- they treat him like their own beloved family member! It is evident that they genuinely care, and their passion for their work shines through in every interaction. Recently, I had some questions about taking my dog to Korea permanently, and Dr. Kaufman's wife, Sennuy, went above and beyond to provide me with detailed, researched information via email. I was blown away by their level of service and dedication that they took it upon themselves to ensure I had all the information I needed to make informed decisions. What sets this office apart is that it is not your typical commercial practice. Dr. Kauffman is the sole provider, which means he has a comprehensive understanding of my dog's medical history. But beyond that, it's the passion and love that permeate every aspect of their practice that truly sets them apart. If you are looking for exceptional care, personalized service, and a team that truly loves what they do, look no further than this office. I would not trust anyone else with the care of my furry kid! Thank you, Dr. Kaufman and Sennuy, for all that you do!

The staff that answered the phone several times were very rude, cutting me off before I could finish talking and explaining my pets situation. Very unprofessional would not recommend this place.

Old-fashioned vet—what could be better? I am not new to Tucson and have tried a few vets in town. Dr Kaufman is pleasant and helpful. He seems to be very up to date on things, which is challenging in healthcare. He emailed me my results with excellent reading material attached.

Always there for my ‘zoo’. I have several pets cats and dogs, and Dr. Kaufman has been there for all of them for years. I trust him fully.

Dr. Kaufman has been the veterinarian to our pets for 23 years. In that time we have had 9 cats (not all at the same time) and 1 dog. He was instrumental in detecting the internal damage after a car hit one of our cats. Sent us right away to the vet hospital so he could get treated. That's what I appreciate about him, he takes his time with our fur babies and explains what he is doing every step of the way, is honest, knows his limitations (will refer out as needed) , and always give us options of care. Sennuy (office manager) has always been pleasant, greets you with a smile and never seems to forget the little things about our pets. Carla has been the vet tech since the beginning - patient and caring. I just can't say enough about the staff and the clinic. I highly recommend them.

Our vet, Dr. Michael Kaufman, Desert Hills Pet Clinic, and his wife, Sennuy, are truly amazing, caring people. He's been our vet from the day he saved a dying kitten's life 26 yrs ago to seeing so many of our furbabies across the rainbow bridge, including Ahsoka yesterday. He made a paw print for my youngest daughter just because... Our story begins with me driving down Oracle Road, my oldest daughter was in the car, and at Magee, I see this tiny black kitten had been hit in the middle of the road, and sadly, he's pure black, it was close to Halloween, and probably some asshat's sacrifice. I flipped a uturn, parked in a turn bay, stopped oncoming traffic, jumped out of my car, grabbed him, put him in my oldest daughter's lap, and went to Ina and Oracle where there was an ER vet back then. Michael worked there then and whether I was paying or not, he saved this little kitten's life. Well, I paid the bill and took lucky, soon to be named Munch home. He was hit in the head, so he walked in circles for a long time, and had grandmal seizures. A life of medication to control his seizures, and love, he lived to 13, and when that final seizure struck when meds stopped working, Michael helped him across his rainbow bridge. Michael was at Rosemont for part of Munch's life then, and I did the drive any time I needed him! Munch, well the first time he gained partial sight back in one eye finally, he started chowing on everyone's toes lol The Kaufmans have been there through countless animals of ours over the years with complete compassion, caring and love of animals! Sennuy, I hope I spelled your name right, lol, it's been years. You both make your services the best ever and I always enjoy our conversations! From my home then in Catalina, to Michael's places of work at Ina to Rosemont to Oracle and River now, and I live the rural side of Marana near Red Rock now, you follow the best anywhere! Love this vet. Unlike the Banfield experience, one vet owner and two friendly staff. Vet always takes time to explain, recommend, and answer questions. I'm so happy to always have my dogs in the hands of the same people.
