All about the money! I'd consider this a boutique shop; limited operating hours, elevated Oro Valley pricing for office visit. Was conveniently located & our pup is healthy, just needing routine services. Came for normal vaccinations, doctor (without asking) gave 6mo Bordetella shot in addition to regularly timed vaccs. I know this is the prerogative of doctor, but no other vet we've ever gone to has opted for less than a year. Hmmm. Wonder why? Maybe so we'd pay those office visit charges again in 6mo for an unnecessary visit? And if you need anything, however rudimentary, they insist on office visit. We've been to a lot of vets through the decades, almost all were terrific and customer oriented. I'm not saying the doctor wasn't nice, she was fine. Just saying this is very much a "for profit" enterprise. Ultimately, want greater focus on pet needs than making dollar on office visits other vets would not (and have not) required in three other states.

I have worked with cats and cat rescues for several decades and have had numerous experiences with dozens of vets, both here and in California as a result of doing that rescue work. My little ones have been patients of hers for 9 years now, and I owe many of their precious lives to Dr. Bolser. She is perhaps the best diagnostician I have ever met. As an example, when I rescued a cat from PACC, Dr. Bolser noticed something unusual in his eye during the examination. She thought it might be cancer. She referred me to a cat opthamologist and two exams and a test or two later, the opthamologist confirmed it was eye cancer. Dr. Bolser removed the eye and all cancerous tissue, and we never had a problem after that. I have had dozens of cats treated by Dr. Bolser and have been more than thankful that Dr. Bolser is the superior doctor that she is. The office is spotless and well managed, and the staff are professional, caring, and helpful. I can describe Dr. Bolser's treatment of my pets as excellent and her "touch" with difficult pets is beyond extraordinary. I can characterize Dr. Bolser behavior with pets as calming and I believe she handles each pet with a kind of reverence. Dr. Bolser is one of the best veterinarians I have ever met. She has about a dozen cats at her office that she has personally rescued from abusive or abandoned situations. She is a tad more expensive that some vets, but it is well worth it to me to pay for a few dollars more for the peace of mind I have in having her as mt little ones' doctor. You would be a very lucky pet guardian indeed if Dr. Bolser is your veterinarian.

Was quoted 130 over the phone to euthanize our sick dog… so we took him in on a Saturday and the bill ended up being almost 500. I hate these bait and hook kind of businesses. Because you’re located in Oro Valley doesn’t mean you can take advantage of everyone and we’re all so happy with throwing away money or making you rich.
What happened to being upfront, forthcoming, and honest? Now it’s pour it to them and who cares about return business. That’s all in the past and this place sure proves it. I recommend Calling around and be sure to ask about all the hidden charges, so you don’t get baited by a quote over the phone from businesses like this.
I don’t and won’t recommend it to anyone, including all of our family and friends in the Oro Valley area.
I’ll be happy to also share the quoted amount and the final bill if anyone would like to see it.
There’s 6 new line items that ran the bill up. None of which was ever mentioned.

I have been taking my dog Squeeks to this clinic her whole life, 11 years. I have always loved the staff, the Dr. Was kind and gentle with my baby. I loved and wanted to support that fact that it was a woman owned business. The Dr. removed a mast cell tumor 2 years ago and my doggy is a happy and healthy dog. Today I took her in and was devasted to find out that she needs another tumor removed at a price I cannot afford all at once. The Dr. refused to allow me to work out a payment plan over the course of one month, 2 paychecks. As a loyal customer of 11 years I was devasted I have always paid my bills at the time of my visit. The Dr. was cold to me and my partner and worst of all, Squeeks this visit. My dog will die without this surgery and the Dr. refused to make an exception for a long time customer of 11 years. I was told other people had ruined payment plans for everyone else, basically "oh well." I find this cruel. I will never take my baby back to this woman who cares so little for the life of an animal, the profession she chose, or the humans who so desperately love them. I would have absolutely stuck to a payment plan, I am a person who values integrity and honesty and would never have the intention of ripping anyone off. My heart is broken and it shatters me to think of losing the love of my life unnecessarily. I hope this woman has the life she deserves. The staff tho, is kind and hugged me while I shook and cried and had a complete meltdown and almost fainted. I would have highly recommended this Dr. Before but after today and her coldness and pure cruelty , she is not the same Dr. I have been taking my dog to for 11 years and I would not recommend anyone looking for a new vet to come to this vile woman.

They are very kind and helped me get my dog in quickly. She's not animal friendly so they did a great job keeping her separate from other animals.

As a pet parent of 40+ years, with extensive experience taking pets to vets, Dr. Bolser stands among the finest. Relocation necessitated finding a new vet, we are so lucky to have her as our vet. We went to several local vets and finally found Canada Hills, thankfully. Our rescue has some underlying problems due to a tick she got as a pup before we rescued her. She became ill a few months after our move and it was really scary and affecting her. New to the area we took her (and all her medical records)to a highly recommended vet who wanted to run $900.00 worth of tests, also had no idea what was going on with our pup (our former vet had noted it in his notes & med records). Our dog had been to the vet before our move and was up to date on shots. We live close to Canada Hills vet and out of desperation made an appointment with Dr. Bolser who immediately knew what was happening, relieved our concerns and prescribed appropriate meds. Our dog recovered and is a healthy girl today thanks to Dr. Bolser. The front desk person was so kind and made accommodations to get us seen, subsequently is consistently pleasant to interact with. Everyone at Canada Hills is caring and respectful. This was last year, and we have had 2 dogs and 1 cat all treated by Dr.Bolser. She is great with us as well as our beloved pets. We love Canada Hills Vet and highly endorse them.

My grandson's cat which we gave him for Christmas needed to be fixed. The vet's were very patient in explaining that "Oso" would be fine and we could take him home at the end of the day. Great service at this location back in November.
