“We took the opportunity to try a couple of rib eyes from Forbes Meat Company and we loved them. Although expensive at $22/lb at the time I write this we don't eat a lot of beef and found these steaks to be way above the quality you get at the big name grocery stores.My only complaint and the cause of 4 stars instead of 5: The company moved to 6th Street in the Sam Hughes area, but I drove to the old downtown location because Forbes hasn't updated their web site. Hopefully they will fix this but don't make that mistake like I did.”

“This is an old fashioned butcher shop the kind my nana used to have in her day. I am so glad to have found this little gem. My order was packaged and ready for the freezer in minutes. The chorizo is the best. The owners are wonderful and so nice. I can't say enough and I will be returning regularly.”

“I was here visiting family and as I searched “the closest meat market” Davison Meats showed up. I was just lucky to find this place. I purchased two Rib Eye steaks from the friendliest woman. I am 70 years old and I can honestly say I have never had anything taste so good! The people in Tucson are quite fortunate to have an establishment like this.”

“This place is a gem, and I don't want to talk to much about it because it risks to be discovered by too many people....The meat selection is great, you can actually see different cuts and their names in spanish for the right recipe. The mini market is clean and offers the tiniest delicious limons , limes from Mexico with the best taste, they have veggies, Tamales and a delicious selection of baked goods that make me want to go back right now!!!!I don't want supermarket meat, I want Carniceria EL Herraderro or nothing!The staff is so lovely, I had a lots of goods to bring back to my car and the lovely cashier helped me carry my goods and was charming and engaging . You're very happy and pleased with our experience so far, The tortillas are delicious (from Mexico) and the fajita chicken was delicious. We also got some beef to make carne asada and we were not disappointed. We followed the young lady's advice when we went there and we were not disappointed. I would 100% recommend this to anybody trying to buy beats :) also the salsa there is delicious!”
