HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! My dog Ice has been completely unable to walk for the past week and due to financial issues I could not afford treatment! The wonderful people at PACC approved me for a $500 credit that can be brought to approved clinics which I was told THIS CLINIC IS! I am without transportation working two jobs 80 hrs a week and these heartless people are refusing service because they have a completely ARBITRARY RULE where if you pull a no call no show rather than checking in or following up they would quite literally just blacklist the customer entirely despite whatever circumstances may be. I had a no call no show appointment that I do not even recall from 2021!!! For a DIFFERENT DOG!!! So they now refuse to accept my PACC credit in addition to refusing to even see my dog! If you are shopping around for vets PLEASE STEER CLEAR! These horribly rude and unprofessional people do NOT CARE about ANIMALS AT ALLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very disappointed in my experience here! -500/10

I am a huge advocate for great customer service no matter what it is for. I was referred to this clinic to bring my fur baby to have an exam. From the first call I made the person answering the phone seemed so unwelcoming I wondered "if this is any reflection on the service, I'm in trouble." I preceded to share why I was calling and what I was looking for and wanted to make an appointment for my fur baby to be seen for as soon as possible. Her unfriendly demeanor and less than enthused concern about my fur baby really left me with an uncertain feeling of, maybe she really didn't want any new customers or perhaps she doesn't like what she is doing. After hesitantly making the appointment anyway, I hung up. Right after I began to call around and found another place to bring my fur baby to instead. Feeling so much more relieved, I quickly called back to cancel the appointment with her. She never asked why or even seemed the least bit interested in losing out on a new customer. It is sad to me that great customer service is such a rare thing to find these days. I will travel miles and pay more just to get it!

if I could give this place no stars i would. it's filthy. there is poop all over the floor. it smells terrible. The vet and vet techs are rude. I waited over a hour for a vaccination appointment while there was a vicious large bull dog in there. one man had to hide in the bathroom with his pet so the bull dog couldn't see them. it was nuts , too crowded and very dangerous.

This review is now two years in the making. At first I was just going to chaulk our experience up to a horrible one and move on. But now, ethically, I cannot. We took our pup there for a dental cleaning. Very straight forward standard procedure. Signed off saying if he needed tooth extractions that would be fine. However I was thinking (my mistake) that they would call first and give us a heads up just so we could be prepared for both the extra costs and pain management afterwards. Nope. They called and said pup is ready. GREAT! Turns out he had multiple extractions. A bloody face that was not cleaned up. And in lots of pain. What kind of vet does this?! They just gave the dog back to us with a bottle of pain meds and basically said good luck. We vowed never to return. Fast forward two years later we have a great new vet and it was time for a new dental cleaning. Dr. took XRAY-s and called us saying there was a problem. His previous dental work was compltely botched up and there were still bone fragments/roots left by previous surgery. OMG! This is malpractice. Now our little guy is going to need extensive oral surgury to correct what Old Pueblo should have done in the first place.

Wow the lady that answers the phones here is extremely unprofessional, uneducated and rude. I would never trust my dog with anyone at this establishment and I'm so glad their true colors showed quickly. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, thank GOD. Dodged a bullet with that one. To anyone considering it -- I absolutely would not if I were you. My intuition is so on point and I can bet you any money, they care more about profit than wellness. There are amazing vets in Tucson.. I just moved so I considered going here since it's right next to my house. Big NOPE. Look up Dr. Karen Becker if you wanna know how high my standards are for veterinarians. And I've added some pics of my pup so you can see why my boy only gets the best of the best care.. just look at that face

I started going to Old Pueblo Veterinary Clinic over 25 years ago when it had a different owner. I was concerned when it changed hands that it might not still have high standards, but in the past 8 years they treated my dog with skill and care. My little Terrier/poodle mix was diagnosed with congestive heart failure 6 months ago and the care he received could not have been better. From the greetings of the front desk through the knowledgeable techs to the superb Dr. Pedley, we felt at home, well informed, and well cared for. When my dog, Bogie died, they even sent me a card with notes from everyone, including the doctor.

Great service! Affordable prices and had a nice plan if medicine did not work. I would recommend.

Noticed my dog, Brutus, was having trouble urinating. They looked him over, did a temporary fix and he had surgery the next morning. Bladder stones had been forming for years. The surgery and follow up was all superbly done. The dog is 11 years old and is better than he has been in a long time. Old Pueblo is now the vet I go to and recommend. - Charley W.

The only vet I could find to see my cat Inky on short notice (less than 24h) when he busted his paw -- was looking at a 2-to-10-day wait at all other non-emergency clinics. Right now due to COVID-19 you can't go in the clinic and have to wait in the parking lot for them to call you -- the procedure was made clear to me when I called for the appointment. Sure, it's inconvenient, but I commend them for putting public health and safety first. Cost is very reasonable ($30 for the office visit) and all treatment pricing options are explained up front with no pressure. (I opted to get X-rays -- $$ -- but my decision and worth it to make sure my little man would be OK). Top marks, will visit again even though they're on the other side of town from me.

I called to get my dying, suffering 20 year old cat euthanized but they couldn't get her in for a day. If a vet's primary concern is not easing suffering they just aren't good people.

I've been coming here since 2013. My cats Summer, Gypsy and Willow have all received wonderful care from the staff here. They also allow me to take my cats in for nail trimming since I have a disability and can't do it myself!

Great job old Pueblo got Rosie in on short notice and did a major dental. Her mouth was in terrible shape but they fixed her up and she is going to be fine. Thank you every one who helped her

A very caring and compassionate clinic. The whole staff was really there for us when we had to euthanize our elderly dog. We highly recommend Old Pueblo Veterinary Clinic.

What a great place to take your pets. The staff is very friendly and courteous and the doctor was phenomenal - he took one look at my little dogs eye and know exactly what was wrong. Their rates are reasonable and they were able to see my dog same day which was a great comfort to me. I highly recommend Old Puebla

We just experienced the WORST experience. Our nearly 17 year old Dobie mix we adopted in Mexico when he was just weeks old has been de compensating for a couple years. He's Nearly blind and has hearing loss but has been hanging in there. About five days ago he had an 'event' perhaps a stroke or something. We did not see or experience this event, perhaps it happened in the night. He could hardly walk (was walking sideways) and he hasn't eaten or pooped since then. About a year ago we put him on a special food (from the holistic health food store) that's soft because his teeth at this age are bad. Since this stoke type event he has a very difficult time laying down or sitting. It takes him almost 10 minutes to sit or lay down. He can't get up on our bed with us anymore and he is now up a lot in the night just standing. My husband will lift him up on the bed (because he's always slept with us) but he's fallen jumping down in the night. He is in pain and we (who know him so well) can tell. After consulting with our adult children we, as a family, made the difficult choice to have him put down. There comes a time when it's not fair to the animal and it's the compassionate thing to do. We renovate homes for a living so we move a lot. We have his routine shots and nail cutting done where we board him if we have to travel but we had been to this clinic once before for something. We saw a compassionate female doctor. When I called I specially told the receptionist, Lorraine, that it was a very hard choice for us and we didn't want to be talked into any life sustaining procedures. She assured me that would never happen. Our oldest son took off work early to be there with us. We met at the clinic. My husband and I had spent the entire day with our dog just talking about all the trips we had taken with him and going over his entire life. We bought him In & Out, hoping he would eat his favorite treat (since he had not eaten in four days). We cried and laughed and just hugged him all day. Our son met us there and the receptionist called the vet tech. She was 'judging ' us because our dog walked in. She asked us if we put him on supplements. We said no. The truth is the food he's on is such good food it cost $77 for 2 weeks and is full of supplements. Then a male vet came in. Dr Andre Tarassov, at least that's who I became to know him as. I later asked him for a card and he said he didn't have one. Rufus was on the floor, standing because he can't sit. He never once examined him nor did he even get on the floor. He started talking to us about supplements and stuff. When we said he hadn't eaten or pooped in four days he ignored us. Our dog is old and has many issues but he's like our child and getting to the point of making this decision was excruciating. He flat out refused to put him asleep because he could walk and stand and he wagged his tail once. He actually said, "see your dog just wagged his tail, he wants to live" I became enraged that he would suggest treatment (especially supplements) when this dog is clearly in pain. What made it worse is that our dog has a HUGE vocabulary and no doubt he heard everything (including when I totally lost it) but I would NEVER GO TO THIS CLINIC. This is totally unacceptable. We now are home with a dog who has not pooped in many days, was once again up all night standing for hours-- confused. Finding it hard to sit or lay down. It's a total mess. When it became clear we were leaving and not going to get treatment he said we could go to the Humane society. We would not do that. He's a family member and we wanted to be there with him when he passes over. THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND I WOULD NOT GO TO THEM FOR ANYTHING. How this experience made me feel was they probably wanted us to spend hundreds of dollars on tests and treatment to extend his life for what?? At almost 17, HOW LONG?? We have had large dogs our entire marriage (32 years) and we were lucky to have them until 1
