What can I say about blessingdales? It’s one of the best resale shops in town. I’ve always found the best household items, furniture, and even clothing and accessories here. Not to mention the staff is super friendly and kind. The store is very well organized and clean. They have some of the greatest sales and they have sales often! It’s also a huge plus that all proceeds go to the Men’s Tucson Teen Challenge center, a recovery program helping to overcome addiction through the power and grace of Jesus.
Definitely a hidden gem in Tucson.

There are many thrift stores in tucson, but none quite like blessingdales. The staff is always friendly and will give you a great deal! The selection is diverse and they support an amazing cause. Highly recommended

You never know what fun stuff you might come across here. Something pleasantly unexpected every time I drop in. It's also pretty neat and tidy as far as thrift stores go.

Nice store and good prices. Knowing that they help those in recovery makes me want to support them more, as I once struggled with addiction myself.

Weirdest experience I’ve ever had in a thrift store, when we walked in the workers were watching South Park on a computer & didn’t even greet us just gave us a blank stare was super awkward & unwelcoming. I browsed for like 5 mins lots of junk in there & then left, workers just mean mugged us the whole walk to the door was so weird never going there again

I was a bit more upset but the manager did refund half of what we were charged at pickup.
I told my friend about them because of their outreach program for teens.
We had problems with the pickup time - I had to call and was told we weren't on the schedule but the manager stated the guy was new and was looking at the wrong date. I understood and let them know they could still come. I couldn't stay as I had to leave since I was expecting them earlier. My friend was moving so they were there at pickup.
I asked my friend how it went; she told me they charged her $80 disposal fee without even really looking at the items (3 were dressers that they already knew about on the scheduling call because they asked me what was all in the pickup) but was not told about a fee for disposal if they deemed items unworthy of their store.
Not only was it $80 they asked for cash!
I called the manager and asked a general question before I made it known who was calling; I was told there was no fee for pickup as I was told on the original call to schedule the pickup ( I asked multiple times)....then he finally says theres a $40 disposal fee...then I say well the guy at pickup charged $80 and asked for cash.
The manager gets off the phone and talks to the driver and calls me back to say the disposal fee is up to the driver and they're able to charge whatever they want depending on the items and if it takes an hour or more to pickup.
I believe they need to be more up front about "disposal fees" because even their truck advertises "FREE pickup" but the hidden fee is a disposal fee which they can do this at ALL pickups to make money.
The manager stated because the scheduling guy was new he forgot to tell us but when I looked at reviews in the past the same thing happened. So idk if that's fully true.
I was told that EVERYTHING was not good enough basically for their thrift store so none of it was on the floor for them to justify the $80 disposal fee. Which is a lie because we've all been in thrift store I've even been to their old store on Oracle and the quality is not the best. So to say all of our stuff was trash basically is crazy.
(New items, gently used items, wall art and alot of other things were good quality items) THIS WAS THE BIGGEST SLAP IN THE FACE of the whole situation.
I even brought gently used items from my own home.
The items we donated are similar items to what they have in the speedway store and the stone & Roger store.
Disposal fees are the cost of business for thrift stores...If I would've known and many others would've known this is how this business runs we could just take items to other stores that don't charge fees.
I hope this business will become better by letting people know about the disposal fee and that any person taking calls for your store is very well versed on this because it should be the FIRST thing people that's donating is told to avoid frustrations at pickup.

My daughter and I stop by the store often. The new manager from Tennessee is disappointing! The prices he names are ridiculous. It's not a boutique, Sir. I donate and I love the original team. I would like to continue supporting the store but prices need to be affordable and fair. There are other places I can visit in Tucson!

Not the friendliest of employees. Didn’t get a hello or anything. Went in for the first time and found an item I liked but it didn’t have a price. Asked a gentleman working there and he seemed annoyed. Rolled his eyes and just looked at me after telling me the price. Won’t go back.

Small, bad smell, and terrible selection. Not worth going, despite their cute name
