Horrible bank. While the staff was patient and pleasant, they are hindered by the archaic policies and software. This isn’t sour grapes. Just look at the other reviews. Problems from day one.

This bank has been the most worst experience ever. We went in on 04/20 to close the account and 9 days later it still was not closed. Come to find out they forgot to close it and allowed a transaction to go through when we don’t have overdraft protection so normally it would decline but somehow it went through and put the account in the negative. So because of negligent staff we are getting stuck with a charge. Called the bank and no one cares and no one can do anything even though it was their fault!!! DO NOT bank with these people they are negligent and don’t care about their customers at all!!

It was bad before and has gotten so much worse. Less supported ATMs means more fees, worse customer service and always exceptionally slow at the branch as always. Do yourself a favor and find a different bank. I know I will be.

Ever since PNC took over BBVA I've had nothing but trouble. While I do appreciate the call center being in the USA...the customer service in the bank locations really stink. Takes forever for a simple transaction. Thinking I have to change banks soon.

I used to love this bank. Their customer service was great. Their online "help" is horrible. Not only do you get transferred 3-4 times but each dept. tells you they can't help. When you ask for a supervisor- they wait her disconnect you or put you on eternal hold. They really don't care about the customers. I am moving all my accounts today!

I have found good banks with customer service in general are getting hard to find! However BBVA has been a positive exception! Online banking and bill pay is good. Everyone is very friendly at the LaCholla branch. Tracy at LaCholla branch has always been kind and very helpful. My go to person! There is no one better than Tracy S. in the commercial banking division. I have never experienced such smooth commercial mortgage transactions than what we have had with Tracy S! An honest banker with integrity! BBVA has been a great experience!

In general, BBVA CompAss Bank is the most incompetent and unprofessional institution I have EVER dealt with! I have a credit card with them and have been making recurring payments via my bank. LAST September they processed my monthly automatic payment of $200, however, it was NEVER applied to my account. I have called innumerable times, and was misinformed innumerable times, and have rarely received a call back when they say they would. I have had my bank call them several times, sending proof of payment to no avail. I have gone to a branch, had an agent fax info and was told that that they would call me back, NEVER HAPPENED! 10 months of unbelievable incompetence. I highly recommend that you DO NOT get involved with this institution. STAY AWAY!
