I have been shopping at this location since the day it opened. Disappointed with my last couple of visits to this store. Yesterday I spent almost 20 minutes in line and I was the third person back because there was a customer dispute that they chose to deal with instead of moving it over to Customer Service. The whole store got backed up over this. I asked if they could get another cashier, which they didn’t immediately do. When they did, they took customers behind us. I know the store has more traffic so I would hope they would have more open lines outside of the self check out. It was backed up as well due to this issue.
When I was there a couple of weeks ago, the cashier realized that one of my packages of frozen food was open and vegetables were falling out of it. She went ahead and charged me for it and after some conversation with the bagger, told me to go get another one. In the past, they would send someone running to get it for the customer. I just feel like Customer Service is lacking!

I love Bashas and do all my grocery shopping here, and that won't change. However, this review is specifically about the Friday "fish fry" they've recently started offering. I feel completely misled by the marketing and photos at the deli. While I wasn’t expecting a gourmet fish dinner, the pictures clearly show a piece of freshly battered, flaky fish. When I got home and opened the box, I was shocked to find they were serving frozen, boxed fish fillets—the same ones they sell for under $10 in the frozen aisle! In fact, I have the exact same fillets sitting in my freezer, also bought from Bashas. Charging $18 for this is deceptive and feels like a scam. Bashas, you really need to update the photo at the deli because it doesn’t accurately reflect what you’re actually selling. I’m really disappointed in Bashas as a company for this blatant case of false advertising.

I want to like this store, but they always have only 1 cashier (who also has to watch the self scans most of the time), no one at customer service, the worst produce in Tucson (most things are so old they're rotting), the meat market guys are jerky, and the deli hot bar is usually super old and dried out. With some good management this store could be great, but these are the facts.

Excellent service at the meat counter to restock the chicken that was on sale. The man was super nice, helpful as well as quick to respond to my request. He also told me that Bashas' meats are of great quality. It was my first time to Bashas'. The young lady at the checkout counter was also helpful and pleasant. Thank you. PS.. chicken 🐔 isn't rubbery or stringy like at Safeway!

More expensive than the Fry’s down Thornydale. Better navigating in and out of the parking lot. The parking lot itself is not set up very well. Need to try the brick oven pizza.
