Brought in my 30 year old Explorer lifted offroader after the weak-from-the-factory transmission started slipping. Tony and team went above and beyond in restoring it, even coming up with a creative solution to an oil leak. Did have to bring it back for an issue, but Atlas honored their warranty completely and fixed it for good. Great service and honest, good people!

Had my 700R4 transmission to other shops and spent a good deal of money without any satisfaction whatsoever. I was totally frustrated when I was referred to Atlas. They took my vehicle in the day I contacted them. They road tested it and confirmed what I had been telling others all along. They explained to me what problems they found during the teardown and told me the components they were addressing. The rebuild only took a few days, and best of all the transmission functions the way it was designed to perform. They know older transmissions like mine, which is certainly rare today, and I have and will refer others as my satisfaction with Atlas couldn't be better.

These guys are the only shop that has been able to build a transmission strong enough to handle my compound turbo Ram's horsepower. These guys are the best.

I had to have my transmission rebuilt/replaced and Atlas completed it in about 5-6 days and it now works perfectly

dropped off transmission they gave me a price after looking at it..we allready had it apart and knew pretty much what we thought was wrong..but decided it was far to complicated to try and rebuild ourselves. they was spot on with it and gave us a fair price to also reinstall it in the truck. it was a lot lower than we planned for..great customer service kept us informed on all. I highly recommend this place

My husband is a traveling superintendent and had been in Tucson for work for a few months when the transmission on our 2005 Dodge 2500 (Thank you very much Arizona heat!) went out after an attempt do a “self repair” over a weekend. Neither of us know anyone or the area very well, so we could only do research via Google. We found and ultimately went with Atlas because of their reviews and the fact they’d been around for 40+ years. Our thoughts were that in order for a business to be around that long in a city such as Tucson, they’d have to be either really good at what they do, or really good at scamming people who don’t know about reviews. Thankfully it was because they know what they are doing. They put my husband at ease with their knowledge and friendliness. They were also super easy to communicate with payment and transparency of cost. We had our truck back and running smoother than ever in just 4 days! Even though this was a large and unexpected expense and event. We are very grateful for Atlas, their crew and warranty. We have peace of mind knowing the transmission will not be an issue when we drive it the truck home to Washington State.

My experience with atlas goes back 15 years or more. It used to be my go to place for automatic transmision repairs. Not anymore or ever again. I took my wife's vehicle in for a torque converter shudder. Atlas recommended a full rebuild. The vehicle has high mileage and I expected that. They quoted a price in writing. The quote itemized the parts labor and also the included warranty. When my wife picked up her vehicle the final price was significantly more than what was quoted. Atlas did not do any work that was not on the quote. They then informed my wife that the warranty would not be honored if we did not bring the vehicle back for a 3000 mile check up at an additional cost of 350.00. This was not listed in the original quote. The liar Tony now has working the front desk told me they wold be changing the filter and making adjustments for the 350 dollar service. The only filter on that vehicle is internal there is also nothing to adjust without removal and disassembly of the transmision. I went to the shop hoping to speak with Tony the owner he was not there. I then made two requests of the person at the front desk. I asked if Tony could call me. I also advised that I was willing to have a 3000 mile device done and pay for it at any other shop they recommended. Atlas is a member of the ATRA so I suggested they recommend a shop that is also a member. I didn't want to be an Atlas customer any longer once my warranty expires. I had already spent nearly 7,000 dollars to get poor service and lies. I never got a call from Tony. They never recommended a shop for the service. In my past experiences the owner Tony has been available when a customer has questions. I don't think he has much to do with the day to day operation anymore and it certainly shows. My advice go elsewhere. I used to highly recommend this shop. I have had family members bring vehicles here from out of state to use Atlas. They are not honest anymore.

I have bought two transmissions from them for my 2002 Chevy Silverado. Yes the weak 4l60e, the first one lasted one year and 8 months, 8 months longer then the warranty. It went out, so I took the truck back to them asking how long they typically last the guy says 10 to 15 years. So I buy another one from them, they help a little on the cost since I came back to them again. That was two and a half years ago, I got a three year warranty this time. And it is dead again.... No overheating, no long trips no towing... I normally do all that but haven't for the last few years but they still died in normal daily to and from work wear. Not returning again. Went to a different shop this time. Hope this one holds up... Check around for other shops.

This place is a total rip off. I brought in my manual transmission for a diagnosis, they found nothing wrong with my transmission. First they wanted to totally rebuild, I said nothing wrong?Put it back together. They still came up with a bill for 893.00..Google searched unit, very popular ax15.All over internet 1500,any where you look. They had me over a barrel and they knew it. If they can they will. Ps Highway Drive Automotive recommended them. BBB I will File a complaint. I will guarantee. Ps they did drop 120.00off bill 774.00 nothing wrong replaced every thing that didn't move..transmission mount ,seals that didn't leak..nothing wrong with transmission.didn't even leak.Unless the BBB IS a total farce, like the rest of our GovernmentService: Transmission

OK I had my truck in to Atlas Transmission since it felt time to have it checked out as it felt somewhat tired and worn out. The whole process was great from contacting the shop to getting a diagnosis to getting an estimate to having the work done. It all went so well. If anything, I get anxiety when I am away from my truck so that is just my flaw. Thank you for your consideration, respect, and just a great experience. I really appreciate every one of you. Sincerely David/82 4WD SR5 Toyota Pickup and may God continue to bless America and Atlas TransmissionService: Transmission
