“If I could give this business and the owner, Addison, 10 stars I would!
Incredible place filled with wonderful treasures. I've been on the hunt for vintage Spanish Colonial pieces but have had little luck. Menlo Home & Garden has beautiful pieces that I've been able to add to my home.
I found a beautiful and unique table lamp that will be the focal point of my Arizona room as well as a beautiful vintage Spanish Colonial lamp that Addison graciously changed from wired to swag making sure I had the perfect chain. I also found an amazing old ladder to display my quilts.
Adding a couple of photos and will update once I get the swag lamp installed.
This is old school customer service coupled with unique pieces that you must see to believe. Highly recommend”
“I am sad they moved, though I am sure it was for good reasons. I miss the old building where there were so many areas and you could just get lost in looking around for hours sometimes. This is just a big box filled with antiques and has lost the charm it once had and there isn't as much stuff to browse through.”
“I was looking for traditional items for my ofrenda and was blown away by how many wonderful things are in this shop! You'll find many quality, vintage items - art, decor, masks, pottery, clothing, milagros, Tarahumara baskets and crafts, and so much more. The owner is very knowledgable about the folk art of Latin America and is very helpful. I got my paper marigolds, papel picado, altar pieces, copal and charcoal and I look forward to returning soon.”
“I have been looking for a set of turquoise earrings to match a ring my husband purchased for me while on a business trip in Tuscon. I was searching stores, and eventually the internet. A set was merchandised on Etsy, by Morning Star Traders. The purchase process was simple and the earrings shipped, and arrived very quickly. I am delighted, as the physical description of size, etc. match what I read. The earrings match my ring perfectly. Thank you for your incredible merchandise, and service.”
“Been going to frontier gun shop for 38 years best selection of classic guns in town the owner Jim is super knowledgeable and great to talk to definitely a must see for the old west guns and more awesome place”
“WOW! What a great experience. When customer service in most companies is non existent, THIS business should be the model. Brought my Cuckoo Clock to Ernest because one of the chains came off the cog an 2 of the figurines fell off the platform. Ernst greeted us and came right to the counter to check out the clock. To our surprise he stopped what he was doing immediately and began to work on our clock. Within 20 minutes, he had it running like it was new. He showed us everything he was doing and the correct way to move the clock when transporting. He was upfront with the repair price, which was very reasonable, and had us on our way. If you need any clock or watch repair, look no Further. Ernest is THE BEST!! I will be back with several watches that need some work.”
“Great store. Amazing selection and really great pieces priced right. Owner is super friendly and knowledgeable. If we lived locally we would definitely be curating pieces from here.”
“An amazing variety of American Indigenous jewelry and crafts. I have purchased an authentic, sterling, and signed pendant and two Zuni carvings from American Antique Mall and I am very impressed. These folks are a good hearted friendly local shop. All the staff are very educated and are more than willing to answer questions.
Tucson Turquoise is also within the building and offers the highest grade turquoise available. Turquoise rough nuggets and cabs from Morenci, Bisbee, Kingman and other mines are available.
Also, if you need any jewelry fixed or made you can speak with Patrick the silversmith.
Plenty of vintage southwest oil paintings, rustic western decor, old photos, post cards, and collectable memorabilia from the past. Each vender is unique and prices are very fair in my opinion. Definitely worth every moment spending my time here on a good Tucson afternoon and please support American Indigenous/First Nations artisans.”
“Wow, could not be happier with the magic Donna performed on this old child’s trunk. The trunk is a family memento, almost 100 years old. I wanted it to be usable/clean yet still hold its charm. Donna cleaned the outside, fresh coat of paint on black panels. She even found vintage leather to use for handles. Unfortunately, inside papering would crumble to the touch. I requested to just paint the interior to have a fresh look. This trunk is gorgeous and will continue to pass through the family. Donna was very friendly, offered great suggestions and did excellent work. I highly recommend Harwood’s for any furniture repair.”
“Hands down my favorite store in all of Tucson. Every time I go I cannot believe the incredible mid-century modern and artwork collections. Items are constantly changing so I almost always leave with something I never imagined I would find.Penny, Carry, and Jim are all incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and great to chat with even when you're not looking to purchase anything. There's no store quite like it so I highly recommend anyone to stop by.”
“If they don't have it, you don't need it. It's the only place I've found in Tucson that has true vintage pieces older than 100 years. I can't even begin to imagine where they source it all from. Walk around and get inspired. The prices are reasonable too.”
“I love the employees and I love this place! Whatever you are looking for you could probably find here. I was surprised to find what I was looking for. I am ecstatic….
I WOULD RECOMMEND”
10AM - 4:45PM
4101 E Grant Rd, Tucson“I love the lady at the front desk. And if you ever need any kind of lampshade, I’m sure they would be able to help you. Jason, who is in that department was so helpful as I saw him helping a couple out with many shapes, sizes, and colors for their lamp. This place was absolutely wonderful.
I WOULD RECOMMEND”
“Love this store because I always find something that catches my attention. Service is excellent: they protect your furniture with Saran Wrap, plus extra fabric when loading it onto your vehicle. One time I haggled and got some discount. Overall, 4.85. Support local businesses!”
“Don't let some of the reviews sway you from coming in you're only getting one side of a story there. This is a great place to shop so many booths so much to look at the cashiers are helpful and kind. I'd recommend this place to everyone.”
9AM - 5PM
829 S 6th Ave, Tucson“This is large thrift with an equally large amount of donors, which is located just south of the five points intersection. In the parking lot are two roll off dumpsters, where they throw out the trashy donations. Because they do their best to stock their shelves with high quality items. When you walk in the door, you see some free groceries that are offered to the needy. Then you see a sign which states what special 50 per cent deal is on each given day of the week. Then to the right is a large area of nice knick knacks and kitchen ware. Next in the center of the room, they've got an abundance of beautiful used furniture. Against the wall are lots of electronic items, such as TVS, stereo equipment, home appliances, vinyl albums, CDs, DVDs, etc. To the west is where they have their more elegant and higher end merchandise, like artwork or collectibles. To the south end of the store, in the next room is clothing, textile goods and the book area.”
10:30AM - 4PM
2319 N Country Club Rd, Tucson“Owners are super to work with. My wife and I have visited multiple times and of course we spend some money but on awesome pieces. Would love to buy the entire store actually ☺️”
“This is a Great store with the most kindest Manager Mr Ernie. It has furnished my Senior Citizen apartment. Now I feel like I'm in my new home place to live and because of this store, I can live decent and comfortably.
Thank you for the lesson of rebuilding and being loved.”
“I left my damaged rug in the good hands at Asian Trade Rug Company and picked it up good as new! Or, as new as a rug over 100 years old can be. It is beautiful and the work is impeccable.”
