Antigone Books is a great local independent bookstore with a long history as the longest running feminist bookstore in the country. It is a lovely little bookstore full of books, reading themed items, trinkets, and Arizona charm. The store is a decent size and manages to fit a lot of books, with a great selection. It is not just a bookstore; it has a whole shopping or gift section with a whole bunch of little knick-knacks and cute things, including beautiful stationery, handmade art from local people, greeting cards, and small gift ideas. The staff is nice and helpful, with helpful recommendations on the shelves. They are truly caring people. If there is a book you cannot find, they can order it for you. While it is a fab bookstore, it is noted as the only bookstore in town that does not offer a general teacher discount, specifying it only for books used in a curriculum. It remains a favorite spot to bring friends and family, seen as a needed independent bookstore in these times.
Easily one of my favorite bookstores in town! The prices are reasonable and they have great gifts you can buy too! I’m a person who loves to write letters to friends and I was able to get some beautiful stationary as well! The staff is so nice and it’s a spot I like to bring friends and family to. 10/10 ❤️

Great selection of books, helpful staff recommendations on the shelves, and I have to give a shout out to the wonderful staff who immediately helped my friend with first aid when she was bitten by a dog on the street in front of the shop. So not just a fab book store, but also truly caring people there.

Love this place. But recently it has less books and more stuff. I wish they'd carry more books.
