On Sunday I was faced with a last minute move regarding some of my more heavy furniture. I went down the list of moving businesses open on a Sunday. Each one that picked up told me they were booked or they weren't actually even open til Monday. I was losing hope when I finally called Able Movers. To my surprise, the owner was quick to answer and let me know the quote and at what time I could expect help immediately after explaining my dilemma. They arrived quickly and in little to no time at all had moved my heavy belongings up a flight of stairs into my new apartment. They were quick, helpful, very pleasant and in my opinion the only movers I'd have wanted. This is also a veteran owned business and I'll definitely be going through them again with future moves.

PLEASE READ WHOLE THING - WILL SAVE YOU MONEY! Company used to go by "Move 4Less" look them up on Yelp. Scam. On Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, I called to schedule a same-day move with A Able Movers. Clay answered and asked what date I would need help moving to which I said "today, if possible." Clay assured me it would be no problem to send two movers to help me (later on they used that against me and said I "rushed them" and they broke my mirror because they "were tired and hungry"). When the employees arrived, there was no handshake or greeting stating they were with A Able Movers and they arrived in a small personal vehicle; I had to ask them who they were. I had already started packing my U-Haul and wanted to load the heavier, larger items (couches, washer, dryer) closer to the front. I told the employees how I intended to pack the U-Haul to which one of the employees, Eric, responded "well if you want it in that specific way, why do you even need us?" I told him because I could not do the work with myself and my two smaller female friends; hiring A Able Movers would speed up the process. The same employee packed all of the lighter, smaller items in the front of the U-Haul anyway, despite my request to move the big items in there first. His response, again, w/ attitude was "I don't even know why we're here." During the unloading process, Eric moved a large $130 wall mirror by himself and rested it against the outside of the storage unit without making sure it was balanced. When he turned around, the 5-foot mirror fell and completely shattered. Without even apologizing, he looked a little perplexed and then just started moving on to other items as if nothing had happened! I stopped him and asked him what happened and he goes "looks like your mirror broke." Again, no apology and he wanted to just ignore it. I called Clay, their boss. He wanted us to resolve the issue there and find out how much the mirror cost. Shortly after that, I started taking pictures of the mirror and it was then that Eric immediately became aggressive. He started questioning why I was taking pictures and said, "look, you wanted us here ASAP, so my partner and I came and we are hungry. We already had a move this morning but you wanted us here as soon as possible. I'm tired, and it's just a mirror, lady! What's the big deal? Whenever we break things with other movers, they always tell us not to worry about it!" I was completely shocked and asked my friends to record the conversation as Eric had raised his voice significantly and looked very agitated. He yelled at me and said, "Stop f****** taking photos. YOU'RE TRYING TO GET ME FIRED!!" I told him I was not trying to get him fired; I was taking photos for my insurance purposes. We ultimately decided verbally (in front of the group of 6) that they would deduct the $130 mirror from the total moving cost. I then called the boss, Clay, who asked to speak with Eric (on my phone) and he walked off toward his car to have a private conversation. After the two got off the phone, Eric came back over with a contract and asked, "Can you sign this to verify what time we started working?" I looked over the 1 page contract that stated A Able is not responsible for damage, but would pay $1 per pound of broken items. I pointed that out to him, in front of the group, and stated "but we're still in agreement you will pay $130 for the mirror?" They said "yes." I signed, he took the contract, and laughed: "HAH!! NOW WE DON'T HAVE TO PAY YOU AT ALL!" I was stunned! He tried to trick me into signing and cancel out the verbal agreement we had JUST discussed in front of 6 people by getting me to sign the contract stating it was only to verify their start time. And then he laughed about it! The other employee was a complete mute but clearly didn

Just used Able Movers. I have used many movers in the Tucson area and this was the least amount of items I have ever had moved and it was by far the most expensive moving experience. I understand it's hot, but in my opinion movers should move with a little urgency. At one point one was carrying a plastic trash can in, that's it. They didn't have many large items mainly boxes and it took 5 hours. I called the owner to give feedback and it didn't go well. Just excuse after excuse. If you want to pay a lot for slow movers use Able Movers.

The guys that moved my mom were very nice, but were instructed to move at a slow pace, which of course, cost us more money. Ended up having to get my family to start carrying things in and then had the movers just put the stuff in the garage.

Richard & Mark worked there butts off. Less than 2 hours going up 3 flights of stairs at my apt complex. They didn't take a break. Amazing.
