Got two haircuts and it was around $90. I had called and asked if they knew how to cut different curl textures before I even made the appointment. They told me yes and set me and my gf up with an appointment for Desire.
When we arrived, the place was very nice but I was concerned because I only saw white women with straight hair. I told the stylist that I only wanted a slight trim and layers. She told me okay and that she wouldn’t cut it that short because my curly would bounce it up. I had told her that I had a previous bad experience where a stylist cut my hair too short. I needed it a certain length for my curl pattern. She cut and when she showed me I could already tell it was too short. I did have her cut the back more but the front was already ruined. She did not blow dry or style my hair and I think it’s because she knew she messed it up.
My gf wanted her dead ends off and a few other specific things. She gave my gf a blow dry and styled hers and it looked good but after getting home my gf noticed that she still had a lot of dead ends
First two pics are before. Second is after. I just wish they would have been honest and told me they couldn’t do it. I’m extremely disappointed. Even after doing my routine my curls are not curling because of the pattern being cut.
UPDATE: Since they want to lie I’ll add more details. They asked me about the length on the back which I told her to go shorter on. Never asked about the front. She told me she would “cut less because your curls will make it bounce up” and then cut too much. They never asked EITHER of us about the blow dry. She just did it for my GF WITHOUT asking. At the beginning of the appointment when I talked about how I was worried about my curls she said she had tons of product for curly hair and pointed to a shelf near her station. In my mind that means she was planning to style it, but again she never asked me. My gf explicitly told her to cut as much as she needed because she wanted ALL of the dead ends gone. My gf also mentioned that she was considering an undercut but Desiree never followed up with her so she didn’t get it. She also asked her to go shorter on her sides several times. There is no point in a follow up appointment because my hair is already too short and I don’t want people who blatantly lie repeatedly touching either of our hair.

One of the worst haircuts I've ever received. From the moment Emily refused to wash my hair, I started to feel uncomfortable. She seemed to be in a bad mood complaining about her schedule. She curled my hair at the end and I thought it looked ok. A couple days later I straightened my hair and saw how ridiculously uneven my hair was. I didn't realize how uneven both sides were since she had curled my hair. I went to a different salon to get it fixed and I'm much happier now.

Services: color/ cut and blow out ?
I don’t normally leave reviews, however I am really disappointed with my hair cut and color and overall experience at this salon…it’s been 2 weeks since, so I know I’m past the 7 days…However I was really excited to get my very first and only hair appointment at the Savvy Stylists, my stylist was unfortunately very uninterested in my haircut and color and more interested in telling me her life story. The shampoo/ rinse was a joke, the dye didn’t cover what it was expected to , the cut has to be redone and fixed and the stylists didn’t offer me a blow out, or even use a roll brush when blow drying my hair…and she did not try to style it at all…I was so baffled by this experience I just wanted to get home and see what I am now dealing with.I would have happily paid more if cost more..for a blow out and style…
Hopefully this doesn’t reflect on the other stylists, they are probably great, I wouldn’t know
I will never make an appointment at this salon again…. Very disappointed

Couldn’t be more pleased. Heather W. took such great care of me. She got my hair just right. It is absolutely stunning in every way. I asked for a lived in blonde look and she seriously went above and beyond to make sure I got it just how I wanted. She also gave me a gorgeous hair cut - the kind that just looks so beautiful all the time, where you don’t have to do anything to it and it looks amazing. I didn’t even know that was possible until Heather W did my hair. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I had an amazing experience and felt incredibly taken care of. Thanks Savvy Stylist and Heather W for having the best customer service!!!!

Michelle is wonderful! Very talented and enthusiastic to make sure she understands and delivers what you're looking for! She made sure I understood the process I would be taking my hair through before we started and I was thrilled with the results. I highly recommend Michelle and the Salon. Everyone was friendly and helpful from the moment I entered to the moment I left!

If I could choose NO stars I would. I was a new client to this salon. Was not happy at all with my service so I sent an email to ask a question concerning my unhappiness with my service there. And here it is. I was just there to have my hair highlighted and a haircut. However, the haircut looks terrible in the back. I was told when I was paying that there is a guarantee and that if something was not right that I could come back without extra charges to have this fixed. I do not see anything related to this on your website. Now if this is true, do I have to see the same stylist to have this mess cleaned up? Because that is truly NOT an option for me. This was my first time there and I truly was NOT happy at all, especially being there from 1-6pm (not a good first impression). Never in all these years that I have had my hair done has it taken longer than 2 1/2 to maybe 3 hours at the most. The blonde highlights are more white than blonde (since the product was left in my hair for so long) that I now look washed, super pale and over processed. But I can let my hair grow out and fix this at another time. The cut especially in the back of my head does not look good and I have tried several different ways to make this work. So I am not sure what the heck happened with the stylist that I chose from reading the BIOs on the your website...talk about shell shock. Very deceptive that was. This is the answer that I received back from the owner of this salon. Hello Michelle, Michelle Everest is an independent stylist that works within The Savvy Stylist but is not an employee of the salon. She simple runs her business out of our salon. Therefore, all correspondence needs to go through her. We are happy to forward your email to her or you can reach out to her directly. Thank you for your understanding. Have a great day! My response, Nice...I was so hoping that this was not going to be the answer that I would receive. As a consumer and having my hair done within your establishment it still reflects and is representative of The Savvy Stylist salon. And as a consumer I will also be sure to include your response within my review on YELP Just as a warning to other consumers/clients, especially since she is on your website as a choice for services. There should be a disclaimer as to this FACT or when a new potential client calls and request a stylist which then happens to be an independent stylist within your salon, this should be communicated at that time so that we can make a more informed decision when making their choice of stylist. So just to let you know that truly reflects on you and this salon, not necessarily does this reflect on the independent stylist. But reflects on THE SAVVY STYLIST salon. Forgot to mention but not forgotten. As I was sitting in my chair waiting and waiting and waiting. One of your stylists decided to serve her client wine, which there is nothing wrong with this at all, I have also had this with other salons, but the stylist herself should NOT have been drinking a glass of wine too on the JOB. Poor sad customer service. Have a nice day! By the way make sure you when you address a client/customer by email that you spell their name correctly! Michele
