I have been giving high ratings to this store for a long time. However, it appears that the copy center is no longer the customer friendly department that I have utilized for years. Tonight I went to scan a simple document - a passport for a visa application. The new regime has new procedures that are NOT customer friendly.
In order to scan a document, one must present a credit card to the scanner. A scan preview is not allowed - so if your document is not positioned correctly - you lose your money & have to start over. So, you have to guess correctly if your document is properly positioned or you pay every time.
To add insult to injury - in order to view your scanned image - you now have to go to another computer & again present your credit card before you can view your document: $1 per minute for a color document.
The young lady at the copy counter refused to offer help. Instead - when I tried to reason with her - she wouldn't listen & kept interrupting.
I reported all of this to the store manager. He listened, but didn't offer any solutions.
When this egregious customer service issue is resolved - I will restore my 5 star rating.

l was greatly impressed with the customer service and technical expertise demonstrated by two associates at this store. Callie and Marco went out of their way to help me with specific issues in Google docs on my recent visit. They are a strong resource for IT technical issue problem solving!

Wow is this place expensive. I went in to purchase some file folders. 10 file folders were nearly $30! They were not hanging folders or anything special. I went up to the cashier and ask them to verify the price and they said that was correct. No wonder stores are going out of business. Store was clean and organized.

The cashier at this location in Tempe was phenomenal. He greeted me with a smile, was polite, called me by my name, and was very pleasant. For a young man, I was overly impressed.

Our TSA Pre-Check process at this store was, simply put, one of the worst experiences I’ve ever endured at any business establishment in my life.
Systems down, no empathy, didn’t offer us any help beyond “you need to call another store” … then we make an appointment at the Tempe ASU location the next day, and the manager told us their TSA person “called out today” … A.) why are you literally allowing people to book appointments when no one is there to help and B.) shouldn’t a Manager or at least ONE other person in a store be trained on TSA processes to help in this situation? Seems like a PROACTIVE solution to a very IMPORTANT task people that a LOT are trying to accomplish.
Staples should have their TSA pre check license revoked because I have absolutely zero intent on ever going into your stores in the future again. Just embarrassing all around.

Walked out of the store feeling like the employees lacked customer service experience and I didn’t want to give my money to a place that didn’t care about the products I was looking for. They said they were all new and had no idea where things were. Very disappointing experience.
