We visited Son Des Jour at Tempe Marketplace as part of a birthday package, and it was an absolute blast! The activity involved making our own soaps and candles, and the whole experience was both creative and relaxing.
The staff provided clear, step-by-step instructions, which made it super easy even for first-timers. Everything was well-organized, and we loved getting hands-on with the different scents and colors. The atmosphere was warm and inviting — perfect for a group celebration.
Highly recommend this for birthdays, girls’ day out, or just a fun creative break. You walk away with beautiful, personalized products and great memories.

What a fun experience. I went with my sister today and we enjoyed our day. My sister is disabled and Lee was so helpful and made sure she felt she was doing a good job. It's just fun to make your own soaps and they make good gifts. :). We'll go back for sure.

I ordered a scrub, lotion and soap to be shipped to my home as we were traveling. The products are lovely and the service was amazing! Once we arrived at the airport, my daughter realized she left a shopping bag from another store at the mall. The attendant at soap des jour shipped this merchandise with our soap order with no extra charge. The store owner was lovely as well, as she helped arrange this. Lovely people, with excellent product! We are grateful to them and excited to use the product!

I had to do a review. So I have been using their Lavender scrub bars often. The quality and scent is amazing. The soup can be used all over with zero irritation. I like to buy in bulk so I always have a bar handy. I only purchase the lavender scented olive oil or scrub bar. The store is really cute and they always have great sales on their website. High quality and the later is very plentiful. Great scent and is long lasting. Taking a shower with this bar is just simply amazing. When I cant make it to the Tempe location I have bars shipped to my home. Please please support this business. I will always support and make sure I always have bars on hand.

I’ve been to the Soap De Jour in Desert Ridge Marketplace, and I remember it being a really pleasant experience! Today, I visited the one in Tempe and felt a little suffocated in the store today. At first, they asked us if we wanted to make a soap which we agreed to! It was fun but overpriced for how short the process was, and they ended up looking a little funky. The suffocating part was when we were checking out the shop while the soaps were hardening. We just wanted to smell some soaps and peak around a bit but one of the staff members followed us around the entire time - making comments about each thing we smelled, and telling us the price of each thing we touched. Also the staff member was very sweet, it kind of felt like she was trained to follow us around and try to make sales! I love this place, it’s so cute it was just a bit of an overwhelming experience!

Great experience here today and my first time in. I was met not only with smiles when I walked in, but was greeted instantly. She was not overbearing but just let me know if I needed anything she’d be available. The store smelled amazing and was very clean and organized. I took my time looking over the items and was told of the current sales. I asked her about a few things and settled on a scrub and lotion. Prices are a bit high, but I was told that the product I was purchasing would last about six months depending on usage; to me that makes it worth it. My only take away was being asked if I wanted to leave a tip when paying my the machine not the employee. Why am I tipping in a mall that you’re there to purchase items? No food offered no table service. That’s a bit weird to me. I used the product when I got home and so far so good. If anything’s change I’ll update the review.

I organized my depts holiday event at Soap Des Jour in Tempe Town Center. Even though we were a group of six, we are a handful. 😂 We all had a great time!! We love the soaps we made. The staff is awesome and so helpful. They put up with our teasing and silliness. It's a great time, sign up!!

Bought a soap bar from the store. Love it, after washing your hands with the bar makes you want to buy more with the scent and the soft feeling it leaves on my hands.

Lee helped us today for our soap making class. She is the daughter of the mother-daughter duo who own the two locations. She did such a terrific job walking us through the process, scents, colors, and add-ins choices. The store is spotless, they make lots of soaps and candles that are like small works of art, and the service was exceptional. I took my friend’s daughter and she can’t wait to go back. I’ll be bringing my own daughter for sure. In addition, I purchased lots of cactus shaped candles to give as gifts during my upcoming trip to visit family and friends in Denmark. They’ll love something that’s authentically Arizonan!
