great experience shopping here, I love buying things in person instead of online and I got a good deal on a trade in. Very nice customer service! Love my new brother sewing machine

I am glad I went with this place! I had my eye on a JUKI TL-15 or 18( but not really as price online at other places were tooooooo much). My sister lives In Phoenix and during this trip I WAS going to leave with a juki. I called their other location she said they only had one TL2010 in stock and grinch heart dropped. The hotel I was at was equal distance. The tie breaker was my mom wanted to go to IKEA. So I get to this place and a guy (I forgot his name) said hi as soon as I walked in. At the front door they have these little triangle shaped 1/2 yeard or 1 1/2 yard and Ioved the ones I found. The other lady offered me
Suggestions and joked “I hope you’re buying an Altair” (a HIGH end babylock machine) I said nooo I was looking at the juki TL15. She showed me to the demo and I loved it. The man came back and gave the heart breaking bitter pill to swallow that they just sold the last one. He moved me to the TL18 and let me play and asked how I liked it and I said I LOVED it but it’s out of my price range. He said what’s your price range and worked out a deal of a life time with me. I ended up leave with the TL18 with hope of getting a 2015. I love this machine. And the staff were so wonderful! I have attached the proof I did in fact buy this machine and yes it was a while ago but I STILL love it! I also blurred out me info and the price he gave me which was GOOOOOOD. AO GO ON OVER AND ASK for a demo and quote. You won’t regret it. I want a serger now.

I am an accomplished quilter and recently visited Mulqueen Sewing & Fabric Centers in Tempe, AZ, hoping to find some notions and backing material. I was also interested in checking out their Long Arm quilting machines, as they have a room filled with them. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
From the moment I walked into the store, I was treated rudely, just as I had been on previous visits. The employees were unwelcoming and acted as if I was invisible. They didn't even look at me, let alone offer any assistance. The man at the store has been confrontational and rude in the past, and the woman is consistently impolite.
I had to ask another customer where to find the 108" wide material, and this kind customer actually walked me over to the area—something an employee should have done. It's baffling how this store remains in business with such poor customer service.
Despite having previously purchased a sewing machine, material, and other notions from this store, I will never return. I even brought my sewing machine in for a tune-up once, but their behavior towards customers is unacceptable. As you can see from the numerous one-star reviews, I am not the only one who has experienced this.
On a positive note, I have used the Mesa store, and they were always nice there. However, based on my experiences at the Tempe location, I strongly advise against supporting this business.

One star for the nice selection of grunge fabric.
Unfriendly old lady needs to work on her customer skills. Will not return.

I recently had a fantastic experience at Mulqueen Sewing, Fabric & Vacuum Centers. I own an old White brand sewing machine, purchased for $250 back in 1982. Unsure whether to repair it or buy a new one, I reached out to Mulqueen’s. Mr. Mulqueen promptly replied to my email, inviting me to bring in my machine for a free estimate.
Upon arriving, Brian inspected my sewing machine and informed me it was worth much more than what I had paid. He detailed why repairing it would be a better option than buying a new, cheaper machine, highlighting the superior quality of the all-metal parts in White machines. Brian's extensive knowledge and clear explanations made me feel very comfortable and confident in their service.
The estimated cost for maintenance and possible repairs is about $150, which I found very reasonable. Although the work is yet to be done, the professionalism, expertise, and customer care I experienced at Mulqueen’s were outstanding. They truly know their stuff and make customers feel at ease. Highly recommend!

Interesting...... look at what I found..Older women working there seemed to be annoyed to be asked a question I'm willing to spend money if I feel welcomed but you will certainly not feel that walking in

I've been in a different business of serving customers for the past 25 years. I have an opinion of what attracts customers: the environment, staff, and type of interactions a business should promote to maintain positive customer relationships. I am leaving my highest rating for the Mulqueen Tempe location. Brian, Janet, Maddie, and Darren work to create a unique environment for their customers. The environment is clean, well-lit, and welcoming. This is important to me as a customer. When I walk in the door, the business is not chaotic or intimidating; it is relaxing and invites you to explore. The classes offered at Mulqueen Tempe are what originally drew me into the store, along with the wide-range of Brother sewing and embroidery machines. At Mulqueen Tempe you will find very reasonably priced classes taught by the top industry teachers that have thousands of YouTube followers. These classes are cutting edge, and to substantiate this, the classes provided include use of a Brother Luminaire sewing and embroidery machine for participants. Supplies are provided, and for all-day classes, lunch is included. Prices are very reasonable considering all of these details. Staff: Janet is an expert quilter, and her superior knowledge of products, color, and materials is impressive. She helps customers understand tools, interface, thread, and fabric types. What is great about Janet is that she waits for you to ask a question, never assuming you don't know what you're doing. She gives you the room to learn, gently steering you in the right direction. Brian is a positive, helpful manager. He helped me find just the right machine for my goals. He is always kind, calm and busy when you walk into the store, without a hint of chaos. Like Janet, Brian's energy promotes a good environment for the customer. He also knows a lot about the machines the store sells. This is important to me as a customer. Everyone wants to shop at a place that provides a good experience. It is about connecting to a place and time that will bring a customer back. Trust me, this is an expensive hobby, so you want customers that can afford to participate to come back, not find an online equivalent. Brian, Janet, Maddie, and Darren work to make the shopping and learning experience a good one. I have chosen to leave a top review for Mulqueen Tempe instead of leaving a poor review for Mulqueen Mesa. Although Nancy in the fabric section is a delight, I still cannot recommend Mulqueen Mesa due to the chaotic environment that I find stressful and unfriendly. I will not elaborate except to say that not all Mulqueen locations are equal. Do not miss Mulqueen Tempe just because you were turned off by a different location. Go to the Tempe location. Enjoy a class. Meet the staff. I think you'll be pleased, and probably, go back again.

I've been here a few times in the last several months & customer service was just ok, not overly friendly but got the job done. This last time I went in I would have to say they were rude & unhelpful. I love their location-it's convenient to go there. But in the future I will be looking for a different quilt shop where they would appreciate their customers a little more.

Terrible customer service! I have been in about 3 times but never again, no one to help and when you ask they are extremely rude!

This company was supposed to be participating in a country wide row by row activity. They are very rude when you walk in the store. There are 3 mol Queen stores all of them are not prepared for any of this, all they want is a free advertisement. This store even told me that they were not even participating.

It's not as large as the Mesa store but I've found everything I need. They have Bella Solids, Mods Grunge, some batons and novelty fabrics for every occasion/interest. They also have a selection of wide backs and cuddles.

They definitely go by the golden rule... Such an amazing family to deal with. Before long you may feel like you're a part of their family!
