The training was really poor for JA and the job descriptions made no sense. There was also an unequal distribution of job activities. Children with a CTO/financial type role had a lot to do, but kids with other roles were bored to tears.Additionally, most of the non-financial roles taught the kids the wrong thing about the roles. I was so disappointed to find that a role in my field that a child received looked nothing at all like what the job would normally entail. It made me wonder if the people who designed the curriculum actually knew how other jobs worked or even consulted people on them.I felt like the experience really didn't teach the kids anything. It was such a disappointment and ever since volunteering, they just continue to push me for donations without the ability to opt out when I originally signed in as a volunteer.

The kids did love experiencing working at theirjobs! I do love the vision that JA has forchildren. However, the workers/volunteerswere not trained well. They never couldanswer a question and always said "I don'tknow" or "you go do it". It's very unfortunatethat the workers there (not all of them) butmost of them were very rude. Also forteachers, please do better at helping themlearn how to teach the lessons before the fieldtrip. The lessons were fun and had greatlessons to teach, but they sometimes did notmake sense and was hard to teachsometimes. Doing just one zoom call to "train"the teachers is not enough. Teachers needsomeone from JA who actually knows how theprogram works to come to the teachers andpersonally teach how to teach the lessons andwhat we need to bring to the field trip. Weneed more help and support next time please.Other than that, it was all worth it by seeing The kids have a great time.

I have chaperoned two separate field trips here, with all of my kids. It is such a great experience for them. The whole day is planned to teach them about working, earning a paycheck, and what it takes to run a business. As a small business owner myself, I love the “real life” experience it gives them. I think this is a valuable tool for all young kids.

Wow! This place is amazing. I want to be a student again. Inside this modest office complex is a mock city. Students get to run the city and face real life costs and profits. There is a job or position for everyone, and opportunities to learn all while having fun. Banks, Voya Retirement, entertainment, (has a radio station) and fast food. This amazing city comes alive with students who are part of the Junior Achievement curriculum 4-6 grades. I have been fond of Junior Achievement since I brought it to my classroom. Now that I left education. I jumped at the chance to help out. I am amazed at the genius of this city. If you or know a classroom teacher that would like this type of curriculum, I highly recommend checking this place out. If you would like to donate time or money contact them as well.

Amazing place for schools to visit to enrich the young minds in future careers finance and dept. Look forward to seeing my kids school reach out to many more students with your program. Thank you Junior Achievements for an amazing place.

Fantastic concept but needs a major overhaul in how it is presented.

I used to come here on field trips when I was younger and it used to be fun! I went yesterday to volunteer for my nieces class. Horrible is the only word I have. It was chaotic the whole time. They didn’t train us volunteers, so we sat there for an hour doing nothing and had no idea how to help the kids. The head director lady had no patients at all for the kids. The kids were saying they would have rather been at school! They definitely need to pick up their game and should definitely hire more employees to help out. Will not come here again.

My students and others were extremely overwhelmed and stressed to tiers during the Field trip. Some starved, not knowing when to take a break from their stressful “position”. It became an act of mama bear for me as the teacher when I realized all of my students were stressed out from their jobs. It was down right overwelming. Th company did it take the time to explain the lunch time and free time. Very disappointing
