Front desk was a joke. Interrupted Esmeralda eating as she waddled to the desk to open the door. Took excessively long to get checked in and was given the wrong room twice. Went back to desk took another 10 minutes to get another room and still wrong room as she tried to tell me I reserved a standard room. NO I DIDNT. Then she came to my room with the police telling me I need to leave. She was mad because I didn't use the front door after telling me there is only one way in and out, the front door. Not true, there are side doors near stairwell. Rooms are very small bathroom is tiny not worth the trouble or the money. Stay awayRooms: Small rooms, very small bathroom breakfast not good

first of all. this is a very noisy location. if you are a light sleeper, choose a different place. Secondly, the staff in the evening I checked in was very discourteous. when checking with the manager the next morning, he told me he's had several complaints about this person. you have to wonder why it hasn't been addressed. Overall I would not recommend this location.

Great experience staying here for a work thing. The manager on duty was very accommodating when I requested a room change - the room was fine, just a little more noise going on than I was ready for.Everything was clean, the space is recently updated, and the gym is well-stocked. The free continental breakfast isn't special, except for the 3D pancake printer. While fascinating to watch (made me feel like I had arrived in the Jetsons) the pancake might have been made with Elmer's glue.If you want to venture out on foot, there are options close. Not a lot of options, but some. The Vietnamese place across the street is worth the walk.

Clean rooms. Excellent customer service. Particularly David at the front desk is very friendly and accommodating to difficult requests too .

A little noisy due to proximity to the highway, airport, busy roads but that's why we choose it - location! Great room, appeared to be recently remodeled and very clean, bed and pillows were comfortable, great value for the price and

I feel very comfortable in leaving my car there when I have a business trip. They have cameras and security onsite.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. The nice walk on the near by bridge was just what I needed. The view as I stood in the middle of the bridge over looking the lake at sun set was just amazingly beautiful. The service was great and we're all nice and helpful.

My family recently stayed at this location for our family vacation. We enjoyed our time here. It was quiet, the grounds, rooms were clean. The front desk staff were accommodating, helpful and very awesome (I would stay again just because of their customer service). Although, we experienced one minor inconvenience during our stay it was quickly rectified! This location is close to the airport, shopping, freeway access and a variety of restaurants. The only cons about this location is getting out of the parking lot onto the main street and the small bathroom we had to share.

I really like the newer Holiday Inn Express style that the company is going with. Very modern style, comfortable and convenient features (electrical outlets w USB ports, lots of accent lights, good blackout curtains, etc). This is the second location we've started at with the updated furnishings, etc and I'm really into it. Service is solid and friendly too.

I stayed in Tempe for only one night. I chose this location as it was close to the Marquee Theater in Tempe. It also happened to be close to an In and Out.I checked in with the manager Cody who was warm and welcoming. I had a very early checkout time and he was able to suggest an option so I could ask for a couple quick breakfast items I might take with me at 4AM.Even with checking out super early, Selma was at the desk and greeted me with a smile. When I asked if she could manage grabbing me a couple pieces of fruit, she thoughtfully suggested a couple quick to go options, grabbed it and I was on my way.Chamg was also helpful in my brief call to the hotel about my stay. The renovated rooms were nice and modern. I liked the lighting options in the room and the bed was comfortable. The parking lot was also well lit which was important for a post concert return to the hotel. Had I stayed longer, I would have used the exercise room with their modern equipment and free weights. They even had a rowing machine. Nice seating areas inside and outside.Yes there is a highway on the other side of the hotel, but not super loud and had the typical white noise level of traffic.Rooms: King size bed room, modern furniture, comfortable bed, nice lighting options and USB ports.Nearby activities: In and Out, Starbucks and a couple non chain restaurants in the area. Other businesses within walking distance.Safety: I noted a well lit parking lot and an evening entry by keycard for security. Multiple lock options on the door.Walkability: As a solo traveler, I would feel comfortable walking around in this area. Might be more busy when the college is in session.

Needed to find someplace close to me late at night. Tried to make the place look up to date and they did. The room was comfortable except the AC was so loud. It kept switching on. Bedding was good, Mattress was very firm and I hope the sheets are clean. So dark in the room cannot tell. I walked around the grounds and there is a lot of construction going on.This location is close to Tempe which I think is the draw. Room is nothing special and the shower was so small. Breakfast in the morning was okay, except they start late in the morning. I actually had to just sit around and wait for them to get ready.

I stayed here with my daughter during the weekend of the Rock N' Roll Arizona Half-Marathon. It was one of many official race hotels and I liked that it was located walking distance from the starting line. As we arrived, the front desk clerk was patiently listening to a trio of women who were upset their rooms were not as expected. The hotel was sold out due to the race but the women insisted on seeing the manager. Neither man was ever rude and they managed to stay cheerful and professional when helping us. We were promptly given room keys to our clean, comfortable room. Though breakfast was scheduled for 7am, free breakfast buffet was available for runners an hour early. This was appreciated especially as the rainstorm had arrived and we needed those extra calories for warmth and energy. This was a great stay and I recommend it to any Phoenix-Tempe visitors.

Great staff and I'm not sure why this place is badly rated. Breakfast is great, staff is good, and the front desk guy Cheng who is actually Etiopían is a fantastic dude who is very welcoming. Fully recommend this place.

Quick in-and-out business trip resulted in an overnight stay at this hotel. I enjoyed everything about my stay. The lobby for this hotel is clean and inviting. Behind the lobby is a seating area that is used for their free breakfast bar. Upon arrival, I was greeted buy a friendly front desk employee who had my room keys ready and got me set up in just a few minutes. The room is a decent size, had a bed, dresser, desk and couch. Off of the main room there is a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave and a Keurig coffee maker. The sink area is spacious and was spotless, and there is a separate area for the toilet and shower. They have a small, but decent selection of snacks in a room off of the lobby.Their morning breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, cheese omelets, pork and turkey sausage links, various bakery items, cereals, juices and hot drinks. It was well laid out, tasted fine and it was a great price (free!). Good hotel for an overnight or longer stay.
