Used to love the entire thought of this company. My personal go to and recommendation to everyone I spoke to. Especially those that really needed a car. Spoke highly of them and did so passionately. Because back in 2016, I bought a car and I loved it whole heartedly. The people were warm and friendly and I felt respected and appreciated. Best feeling in the world. 4 year contract. Fair price for that particular car. Yep! I felt regarded. So I Just got my 2nd car from them. As a naturally appreciative person, I had no complaints. Then I looked deeper in my contract. I’m being charged $45,000 for a car worth less than $22,000, that is used, not at all glamorous and according to them 7 years old but according to the users manual its 6 years old.79,000 miles on it. This contract is 6 years long. Meaning I have to pay $651 every month for the next 6 years. I’m stunned and heartbroken. Drive Time? When did you stop caring for people? When did you become so ruthless and greedy? When did you stop being different? I will honor my contract. I will suck down this huge mistake I’ve made and I will be honest through this process. But never again will I recommend Drive Time as a rare find and people for the people. This is wOw!? Please make no mistake. The people are still friendly and kind. But the motive and agenda is uncomfortably and unfortunately different.

The staff at the DriveTime in Taylor MI were great. Layla worked with me and was straight forward with me about everything involving the vehicle of my choice. The thing that I was unaware of is the policy requirement that an insurance id card is needed to complete the process. Eventhough I provided proof of full coverage insurance, DriveTime s policy requires a physical id card in order to drive your vehicle home. I feel as this requirement should be adjusted because this part of the process was stressful and a big inconvenience for me as I had to miss a day of work and pay extra money for an Uber . I will not be referring this company to my friends because this has been a nightmare week for me.

I’m not doing business with Drive Time because they partner with Bridge Crest, they wouldn’t help me and my husband register our car from Drive Time and Drive Time won’t helps us either, it’s such a bad partnership.

I’m never getting a car from Drive Time because they partner with Bridge Crest, Bridge Crest literally would not give me a document to register my car, and Drive Customer service wouldn’t help either.

Update: As of today Drivetime cause nearly $5000 worth of damage by installing the Lojack incorrectly. I am currently waiting for Drivetime to ship a new ECU to KIA which was suppose to arrive last Friday but they still have not shipped it. And this was after having the wiring harnesses replaced. If you buy a car from Drivetime have the lojack device inspected to make sure Drivetime didn't damage the vehicle. Absolutely the worst buying experience of my life and all Drivetime can say is I'm sorry they have offered no compensation for all my lost time at work or for the fact I have been making car payments since August and its now November and the car has been having mechanical failures since I bought the vehicle due to their subpar installation of the lojack device.Original: Drive time employee screwed up so badly installing the lojack GPS device that KIA dealer says my 2021 Kia Rio need 2 new wiring harnesses. This vehicle purchase has been nothing but a nightmare since I bought the car in August 2023. Customer Relations is a joke and I am unable to get ahold of anyone within the executive management team. Do not buy a car from Drivetime!

I wish I could give “0” stars cause 1 is too many. My son purchased a car and within 24 hours it broke down. He gave it back since they would no longer with him and they “STILL” have not refunded his money. Sorry cars and even sorrier service. And the customer service number is a freaking joke. I do not understand why he’s having such a hard time getting his down payment back now.
