The person in charge of security is a despotic man, on three occasions that we have gone he has approached us with a very bad character and does not treat us as if we were coming in to steal, if we are only going to provide service to people who need to fix their morohomes.

DO NOT WASH RV…We stayed at this wonderful RV park and enjoyed a quick overnight stop on our cross-country journey. I always read the park rules about washing the RV. This park did not say you can’t wash so I hand time and wanted to clean up my rig a little.BAD MISTAKE !!! There is so much calcium / minerals in the water it left my rig with sheets of white deposits. It took multiple wipe downs to remove the residual effects of the water.I’m sure it is just that part of the country that has this type of water issue.

We have stayed at Copper Mountain as overnighters on our way to California. We enjoy this park and how friendly and helpful the owners/staff are here. We arrived later than expected and they stayed and waited and helped escort us to the pull thru spot. Great customer service we appreciate so much! They have planted multiple trees and landscape here, it will be even nicer once those trees grow.We didn't get a chance to check out any of the amenities as we were traveling, but I am sure they are outstanding and super clean like the areas we used. Will return, great value and so clean!Nice to have a spot outside of the busy areas.

Our last one night stand (before our glorious five days in San Diego) is Copper Mountain RV Park in Tacna, AZ. Somewhat confusing as we have not seen any copper, and there are no mountains anywhere close to us. This place is a sea of gravel; 200 plus slips and NO grass! We got one of the 25 FH pull-through slips. Completely level, 30 & 50 amp at the pedestal, nice selection on cable channels and Atomic WiFi. These hamsters are either genetically engineered or the size of Clydesdales because the download speed is a crazy 125 Mb! There is a large clubhouse with clean laundry and showers and the folks that run it are friendly and genuine. 9/10 with a point deduction that was at the insistence of Max and Mf. Winston due to a lack of grass. $50 for the night (and $1.50 for the ice cream sandwiches in the clubhouse freezer).Even though it was a balmy 118 degrees when we got here, I decided to hookup every hose I could find and perform an RV cleanse. Do not try this at home at any temperature unless you have watched countless You Tube videos and read lots of conflicting blog posts. (No RV parts were harmed in the execution of the cleanse/flush/purge/whatever)Pretty easy 313 miles over here on the slab through mostly desert. We were going to take a local road through Sedona however the sign said nothing over 30 ft and we’re pushing 50+ towing the Bug so back on the slab. The gas stop in Gila Bend reminded us where gas and oil come from and diverted our attention from the $4.94/gallon (with my five cent Shell discount) price for 87.Great sunset and great owners however our two small senior dogs are completely spoiled and could not handle the lack of any grass.

I must say that the pictures of the RV Park posted by the owners are right on the mark they are as advertised. Not just the best parts. People are very friendly we even got invited to a barbecue by our neighbor, it was great food and the people were very welcoming. The atmosphere in the park is upbeat. You can come and enjoy yourself even if you don't have a side by side 4 wheeler. We will definitely be coming back here again. They have very clean dog park runs as well as very clean and well kept facilities such as the pool, rec center, laundry room etc. This park exceded our expectations.Nearby activities: Open spaces for walking. Lots of room for off-roading.Safety: People were friendly and felt very comfortable. No sketchy people.

We liked it so much when we were here in 2020 that we put a deposit and now are seasonal tenants. Park owners are Excellent and keep the costs down and still have a well maintained park. Not much for facilities close by but that is fine with us. That picture is of one site not like other parks that would be 2.

Two Concerns: Air and Water quality:As always, I researched online reviews for this RV park. The reviews all mentioned the air quality. Since we are from Texas, I thought the concern mentioned was just city folks not being around cattle. Let me say we were hit with the "shog" as the locals call it while sitting outside drinking wine. The shog or sh*t fog was so overwhelming it caused me to become nauseated and the smell of cattle manure penetrates your clothes and hair. We went inside the RV and the smell was still overwhelming even after we closed all windows/vents. Hubby contacted the office and he was told that this year had been the worst. We drove over to the cattle feedlot in Tacna, AZ where the smell originates, which has about 500,000 head per their website. When the wind blows from the south prepare yourself because even a facial mask will not block the stink! The online reviews mentioned the high salt content in the RV park's water. This review also was spot on. The RV Park does offer free reverse osmosis water which does remove some of the salt; however, the water is still very salty. If you use an additional water filter system such as Brita it will remove the remaining salt. We ended up buying bottled water to cook with and drink. When you take a shower the water leaves behind a film of salt. Be sure to use bottled water to brush your teeth or rinse out your mouth. For these concerns alone, we will not be returning to this RV park. This was so disappointing because we love the mountains, the desert, and beautiful sunsets.
