I came in due to my 21' GMC Sierra Duramax leaking from the cam shaft. This was a major repair and an expensive one. Instead of Danny taking the job and charging me, he advised me that the truck had a powertrain warranty and to take it to GMC. Come to find out, he was right and my truck is at GMC getting repaired right now at no cost. If you don't consider this being an honest man, then I don't know what is. This guy won my trust and I'll definitely be back for future maintenance and repairs. Thank you Danny for being a honest and caring businessman owner.

Went in for some warranty work and I ended up adding some other services to my truck. I left my truck over the weekend because I wasn't in a rush, but Danny made sure to keep me informed on the progress and gave me an accurate time of completion. A few days after getting the truck back received a call from Danny where he was just making sure the truck was running great and if I had any concerns. A good performance shop that communicates, provides quality parts, clean work, and verifies that your ride is 100%

Desert Diesel got my truck in quickly and had me back on the road in 24 hours! Diagnosed the problem, got the part and then came in with a fantastic price. I’ll be back to do regular maintenance work in the future. Very happy customer!!

I was able to get in very quickly, and the technician was willing to speak with my son, who is my regular mechanic. This will be a shop I will look up when I can't get back to my sons shop. I do have a lot of caution when anyone strange goes under my hood

!!! BUYER BEWARE !!!Get a second opinion if you bring your vehicle here.I don’t write many reviews but felt that this one was important to share. I write this review because of the malicious sales practices of this shop.I brought a van in to get a couple things checked out, hoping to get an honest diagnosis on the issues. I was promptly called by an individual named Danny. He then proceeded to tell me that there was over $8,000 in repairs that were needed, and that wasn’t even part of the issues that I had originally asked to be checked out. Not to mention I was also told that if I didn’t get these things fixed there was a 50/50 chance I would get a blowout and die on the highway. (Not a huge fan of fear based selling techniques)As I bought the vehicle for $10,000 this just wasn’t an investment I was willing to make. So I took the van back, but then sought a second and third opinion on what was going on with the vehicle.After consulting with more honest mechanics who operate with integrity I found that 90% of the things Desert Diesel Repair wanted to “fix” or replace on were actually working perfectly fine. The total cost of repairs including the actual issues I had brought the van to be looked at in the first place came out to about $800. One tenth of what this place wanted to charge.Not to mention they lied to me and said my battery was bad and they needed to replace it to read codes. All three shops I visited after didn’t have any issues reading the codes, and the battery starts up every time.I would take my business elsewhere as it seems this place wants to take advantage of its customers. Maybe this was a one off but I wouldn’t trust Desert Diesel Repair.

Don’t take your diesel to anyone but Danny at Desert Diesel, you will regret it! I have tried a couple different shops before taking my truck to Desert diesel and now I’m a desert diesel customer for life! Danny’s customer service and knowledge in this shop far exceeds others. If you have a diesel under your hood, go to Desert diesel they will fix those issues along with anything else that’s on the vehicle for the BEST price around! Lastly, Danny stands behind his techs and their work and always makes things right. Thank you Danny and your techs for taking great care of my 2012 Ram 3500 ??

Needed to get some work done on my diesel but didn’t know who to trust, a friend had recommended Desert Diesel and spoke very highly of there work and customer service, I gave them a call and was able to bring by truck in. Other shops I had called told me it would take a week to a week a a half to do the work needed. Danny at desert diesel told me he could have it done in 3 days. On the 3ed day Danny had called and told me my truck was ready to be picked up, when I arrived I noticed my truck had washed and detailed. Danny and his team go above and beyond doing things the right way. If your needing some repair on your diesel and don’t know where to go or who to trust, Go to Desert Diesel they’ll take great care of you.

Great shop hard to find honest people these days. Took my truck in for diagnostic with full intentions of paying the cost. They looked at the truck drove it and housed it overnight. Then gave me advice on what the issues was and said he could charge me. I will recommend them to anyone I know that needs mechanical work. Thank you..

Highly recommend desert diesel. We never get anything but honest and reliable service. They always find the underlining reason for any issues we are having instead of just masking it and gives us options for solutions. We will definitely continue to use them!

We brought in our work truck a 2006 Ford F250 6.0 into DDP, we spoke to Danny through the phone explained the issue we had on the truck (Blown Head-gasket) he gave us the rundown of all what he would do to repair the truck and also what he would need to get us scheduled in, we brought him the truck Sept 19th explained to him we use this truck everyday for landscaping and will always be hauling a trailer with a heavy load on, he then better explained to us everything to ensure a solid running 6.0 as you know these 6.0s have a-lot of issues, he told us he will have the truck ready 3-4 weeks, 3 weeks later Oct 11th gave me a call said our truck is ready for pick up we went to pick it up and had the truck completely detailed inside and out we were not expecting that so it was a bonus truck looked good and sounded great we picked up the truck and Danny let us know if we have any issues to give him a call and he will get us in to solve the issue, we used the truck right away the next day and so far so good truck is running great no issues whatsoever thanks to Danny and his crew who got the truck done very quickly.

Awesome customer service!Added 10-13-23 - More work done with Desert Diesel repair Danny and the guys knocked it out of the ballpark AGAIN! Best diesel shop by far here in AZ. Had a turbo actuator going south on my 2015 RAM 2500, so I ended up going with a new Fleece turbo set up and Banks monster ram intake and Danny worked his magic and got it installed in only 2 days! Truck is a rocket now! Thank you!

Danny is absolutely the best. I have been a customer for over five years . I had my 6.7 throw a check engine lite at 190 k miles . I week before i had to bumper tow a oversized boat from California to Mexico. . I was going to just buy a new truck .the. Best part was he pit a 70 gallon tank in it as well he said u dont wanna have to buy fuel in Mexico. i am glad i did not my truck runs has more torque and horsepower then anything out there and i get way better fuel economy. Fyi he also turned my shelby into an absolute beast …

Work seems good, but I've got other issues.Called ahead for a fuel pump change, was told to bring the truck in on a Monday. Despite this, work wasn't started until Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning. Was not given a time estimate, nor updates regarding additional parts being needed or bought for the vehicle. Each time I did get an update was after calling, being ignored and texted "I'll call you back" before being forgotten about for an hour or more and finally calling again. After paying my bill, which included parts and labor that were not identified as needed, I was told my vehicle was in the overflow lot which ended up being curb parked on a side street across from the shop. I do not mind that parts and labor were needed, but I'm disappointed that getting updates took this much effort and that I wasn't informed that I'd need them in the first place. If you have a good experience here, I'm happy for you. However, I dont think I'll be returning.

What can I say about Desert Diesel? My truck was needing a new dpf, I took my 2014 Ford F350 to them and Danny was able to give me a quote and a few options that could be decided upon on in order to get my truck good and running with a good dpf. I decided to have them install a new one and they did an amazing job, had me drive the vehicle a few miles and then I took it to get my recall done and dealer said, recall has apparently been completed, Desert Diesel not only fixed my truck but also made sure to have everything up to date on my truck. Definitely recommend desert diesel! It’s now ready for a 12 hour drive to Northern Cali!
