This is our go to USPS location and only the best people work here like Yashashree, Rainee and her colleagues.
Today, 08/16/24, we had a new passport appointment for my daughter. Rainee was the passport agent attending us. She was very kind, courteous and diligent yet swift at her work.
The passport process transpired:
1. We went in there and stood in the queue for the passport.
2. The passport agent will call you when it’s your turn to go in.
3. The passport agent will take your completed new passport form (DS-11), the original Birth certificate, one photo copy of the birth certificate.
4. You have to provide photo ID for both the parents (DL, state ID etc) and photo copies of the IDs. Both will have to sign the form as well.
5. If you have photo appointment, the passport agent will instruct you on how they are going to take picture of your newborn. Just follow the instructions.
6. Agent will ask you if you want it to be processed normal or expedited way (expedited for a $60 extra fee)
7. Go to the kiosk along with the agent to pay the fee using cash, Debit card or a check.
Documents to carry for newborn/minor new passport:
1. DS-11 completed in Black ink, no mistakes.
2. Birth Certificate of minor original (they keep it, you get it in mail 2-3 weeks after passport is delivered).
3. Photo Copy of the birth certificate of the minor (black n white).
4. Photo copy of both parents IDs (black n white) along with original (you get them back).
All these negative reviews are from the disgruntled people who were denied the service as either they didn’t follow the process, didn’t read the instructions, or they had no proper documents (Birth certificate is a must).
When I conversed with the agents here about all these negative reviews, their take was “people do not bring in the right documents, do not fill the forms correctly and blame us for the service received”.
And trust me agents are right!
One such incident happened in-front of me, the guy forgot his birth certificate and he was denied the service.
Not the agents fault. 5 ⭐️!

I have dropped off packages to ship that NEVER GET SCANNED, they seem to get delivered usually but there is no confirmation of shipping as a result there is NO WAY TO TRACK.
I have a little home business so this is very important. This has never happened at any other location.

I am so grateful I came here. Faith and Theresa have been amazing to work with for our passports. They are kind, patient and understanding. My family and I have tried to get help at 3x at another location and we had a complete opposite experience at the 59th and peoria location. Thank you to the Sun City team!! Incredible job and 5 star service!!

I went in for a walk-in passport. We got there by 5am, after reading reviews that the line fills up quick. Was a bit early but I was first in line. The staff there was very nice. Probably helped that I had all my info ready. I am not sure why there are so many bad reviews. It's actually the only reason why I'm reviewing them. I read the reviews and went in expecting a horrible experience, but turned out to be fast and helpful.

Drop off packages at an apartment door when the front office is closed. Homeowners don't get delayed days because a front office isn't open we are home bring it to our door!!!! UPS Amazon and FedEx have to bring it to the door. We don't choose how something is shipped

I accidentally misplaced my QR code to rate my service and wanted to leave a review, since this was my first time opening a PO box. I did most of the work online but still had to come in to activate it. I made a small error with the paperwork but the staff was great about the whole thing & assured me it wasn't an issue. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I was helped out by a younger man who was training. I didn't catch his name but he was very friendly and professional, and they were really thorough throughout the whole process!

I love my post office! The whole team is amazing! I always receive above standard customer service and I appreciate that guys! Great job and service is always on time! These guys are my favorite post office!

Yes I came up here for my passport and Faith had a lot of patience with me because I forgot the money at home... she was very understanding she answered all my questions...I had little knowledge of how to get a passport... thank God she was there to help

No One Answers The Phones I Was On Hold For Over An Hour So I Decided To Disconnect. They Can’t Even Do A Change Of Address Correctly, They Started Sending Me The New Residentes Mail at My Old Place …. Make That Make Sense. I Never Got A Letter To Confirm My Change Of Address Which Makes Me Think They Never Submitted It !
