Museum retracing the ancient and recent history of the Tohono, and the current organization between Mexico and the USA.The museum part is not very big.The building is gigantic and allows gatherings to be held. The discussion with an archaeologist and the guided tour with the guide were interesting. We were the only visitors.

This was a really great experience and I learned a lot about our local tribes. I wish there had been more about the tribes prior to the Spanish coming. I'd like to know more about their lives and spiritual beliefs before it was tainted by outside influences. Also how they interacted with other tribes.Side note: they do not allow pictures which I completely understand.

You can't take photos, but do read all the signs. Also take time to enjoy the patio and the peaceful view of Baboquivari.

This facility is beautiful! I highly recommend everyone visit to learn about tribal culture and history. A free resource for all. The indoor, air conditioned exhibits are very informative and I am so glad to be able to take my son as he is growing and will be able to absorb the information (he is 20 months). The outdoor areas are well maintained and there are breath-taking views of surrounding mountains. A great place to embrace nature!
