Pharmacy is inadequate. They received my doctor’s prescription … I wait 24 hours to pick it up (because Safeway) … and, like clockwork, Safeway disappoints. “We don’t have it.” “We had to order it.” “Come back tomorrow after noon.” Then “Come back tomorrow after three.” They could have notified my doctor (or me) upon receiving the order, but that level of service is unattainable with this organization. Thoroughly disgusted with these people.

Definitely needs more real peopleworking there. One cashier at the busiest time of the day and the self checkout line is 12 peoplelong. Bad business model management needs some sense.

Clean and well stocked store. To go lunch items are delicious (I for the pita cracker and the tuna salad dip).

Recommend NOT this morning worst customer service at check out line and Manager was as concerned about urgency as a sack of potatoes, no lights on check out lanes, and a line of people waiting.

As a local this is definitely the best place to buy groceries in the Sedona area. The best time to visit to avoid the tourists is fairly early in the morning, especially on a Tuesday. I just wished they actually enforced masks. Tired of seeing tourists maskless or with their noses hanging out. Checkout clerks used to be great but now there is a new batch that is just lazy. They used to sanitize between customers and it never happens now.

Conveniently located to all the hotels in sedona. Staff is friendly and lines are short.Had to go 3 times on my trip for random items. All were in stock. They are practicing social distancing and use of masks.

I was buying potato wedges from them today and the girl was getting it into the paper bag. A few dropped on their counter she was about to grab it and put it in my bag but I think she remembered I'm watching so she didn't give me the ones from the counter. Then after she weight it and handed to me. I saw her pick up those potato wedges on the counter and dumped it back to the basket! During this time I think it's pretty important to keep the food clean... I didn't buy the potato wedges I can't imagine what else has touched our food!

Beware: I will not buy deli meats from this store - I am afraid of getting sick because health department handling procedures are often not followed. Perhaps, new deli employees are not well trained? Meat is often touched by a deli clerks who use their gloves to clean-up and then handle meet with the same gloves. Deli meat is also put on a scale without adequate protective paper underneath, so some of the meat lays on the bare metal surface of the scale. I have literally refused sliced deli meat and walked away 3 times over the past month. I have never had anything like this occur at Bashes & Whole Foods supermarkets in Sedona, or at Safeway in Phoenix.

Idots working here won't even let you put items on the line until previous person walks away. If you are so terrified, use delivery.

This Safeway is a fine spot to stop for snacks, beverages, or gas. We stopped here a couple of times during our visit, and our experiences were fine. On our second stop to this spot we walked inside to look for alcoholic beverages, but we couldn't find anything that peaked our interest, so we left empty handed. That said, they did have quite a few options, but not really anything local to choose from.

Came to Sedona for my 30th birthday with some gfs and went to Safeway to blow up some Number balloons that we bought to celebrate, since this is a well-known service of theirs. We arrived at about 4 PM to no one able to help us at the counter. When we asked for help we continued to get the runaround from several employees including one guy that growled at us. About 20 to 30 minutes later A girl coming back from her break came to help us only to tell us that it was going to cost $15 per balloon to blow up and that "wasn't the price of the balloon but the helium". $15 each for some air?! We left and blew them up ourselves.

I came to Sedona for a day of hiking and came to this Safeway to pick up some money via Western Union. The first time I came in was around noon and I was told that the girl who takes care of WU transactions was on break. Went downtown, walked around for a while and then went back later in the day. Went up to customer service, asked again to use WU services. The lady behind the counter went to get the employee I was told about earlier. She came out, didn't say anything to me and went directly to the western union computer. She started typing, now I'm about 5 minutes into standing there and she still has not said anything to me. Finally she looks up, and asks me if I'm sending or receiving money. I tell her I'm receiving, asks how much, and when I tell her the amount (quite a bit) she rolls her eyes. She had to go in the back and dig out more cash. The entire transaction she treated me poorly and with the shittiest attitude. She was brusque and harsh and several times she asked me for information that was already written on a piece of paper that I had put in front of her in the very beginning. Not to mention that when my boyfriend pointed out that their "we card" sticker still said that the smoking age was 18 she nearly bit his head off because she thought he was asking to buy cigarettes underage. I don't need to be coddled, a simple hello and for employees to actually do their jobs. To wrap this up, Safeway hires the worst employees, employees that can't even begin to acknowledge other human beings or treat them decently.
