This place is great if you're a golfer. If not then it's just a place to stay if you want to see the surrounding area. The rooms are clean with a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker and sink. Outside there is a swimming pool and hot tub. Also a cooking area with a few gas grills.

Very large rentals. Clean and up to date decor. Service was wonderful, we requested extra towels and they delivered rapidly and politely. Also we needed to park a trailer and they found accommodations for us.
Rooms: Bathroom has 2 doors that lead to bedroom and livingroom. Separate shower and tub areas. Large bathroom with vanity and kitchenette has all you need just like your own home. They even have a fireplace and your own private patio.

Can't say I'm a big fan of this location. The room was fairly dated, the flooring had several gaps between the laminate planks and overall the flooring was uneven and was sunken a bit in a couple of areas. One of the toilets in the two bedroom unit didn't work until I called for service. Response was quick, which was great, but later the toilet started running regularly, but we didn't have time nor patience to wait for another service call.
On the 2nd or 3rd night, I discovered a baby scorpion on the wall in the same bathroom with the faulty toilet. Easily squished, and after reporting the scorpion, they sent someone to spray again after we left the unit the next day. However, we couldn't help but be on high alert for scorpions after that. The resort claims they spray once a week, so not sure how the scorpion lived after getting in, but stuff happens...
The staff was polite and friendly and generally very quick to respond to issues. Also I appreciated they weren't pushy about attending yet another "owners update" (aka sales pitch to buy more credits). We were just too busy to do that, nor did we see value in taking the time.
Overall, our first stay at South Mountain could've been better, and our unit certainly needs some TLC... maybe several/all of the units do? We also appreciated the garages so the vehicle didn't get superheated in the constatation 110+ degree temps.

This is my third time staying at the resort. The first two times my experience was just ok, nothing to write home about. This time I felt that the staff were more friendly, helpful, and on point. The resort was well kept and it was great that in the middle of the week we almost had the whole pool area to ourselves everyday! If you got to the gym early it was empty. I also loved that they had sunscreen at the pool in a dispenser that everyone could use. They also had pool floats available to share. And the resort is somewhat eco-friendly, they now have larger dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand wash. Their TV’s are now Google chrome cast friendly when you are hanging out in the evening and want to watch some shows while relaxing before bed. I recommend the Worldmark Scottsdale resort for a relaxing stay and play.

One of our favorite Worldmarks. Well appointed kitchen, fun spice packets included. Enjoyed the pool and it's great waterfall feature. Loved the variety of floties available poolside. The human lift to help wheelchair people into and out of the pool was a very nice inclusion. A lovely group of ladies had a much better vacation by being able to include their wheelchair bound friend in the swimming pool. It was simple for them to use and the controls were user friendly. The furnishings were moden, simple, clean and stylish. Pool towels in room, take to pool and leave wet towels at pool in designated pool tote. Loved the golf course view and little outdoor sitting area. Adorable quail, doves and various birds keep you company. Would stay again.
Rooms: Our room included washer & dryer
Walkability: Within walking distance to shopping center which includes Alberssons grocery store.
Noteworthy details: Human Lift for swimming pool. Helping mobility challenged people into and out of swimming pool.

Overall, I had a great experience with my stay here. We utilized the pool and BBQ grills. They have an entertainment area upstairs with a great view. There was a golf course next to our place. My only complaints would be that the master bathroom floors in the shower needed to be scrubbed. The AC had a loud buzzing sound. You can hear the people upstairs move around, too.
We liked how they had individually packaged spices and a coffee maker. Tea packets would've been nice.
We didn't know we were supposed to place our trash at the front door and had to go back when we were checking out.
There was plenty of parking.

Very nice facility and can not beat the location. Near a lot of amenities. Including on site pool. Just the sales group can be a pain, just ignore.
Rooms: Very functional and tastefully furnished.
Walkability: Walk to many restaurants and shopping.

It's a good thing there's an update coming to this resort in May. What a mess! We were constantly calling the front desk to fix things. The ice machine, coffee maker and fireplace had to be fixed. There wasn't bedding for the hide a bed. No pool towels. The dryer took 3 cycles to dry. The washer and dishwasher both stank of mildew. I had to fix the window in the bedroom, since it was the last day. I discovered why I could clearly hear conversations coming from outside. The window was jacked up from someone forcing it open. Oh....and no broom for the dustpan. It just was NOT up to Worldmark standards by any means.

It's a timeshare, so as long as you don't give into the sales pitch or need to make alterations to your booking you'll get a good deal.
