Sending a HUGE thank you to the deli associates!Picked up my 3 sandwich party trays last Saturday morning. Not only did they look festive (beautiful presentation !) but once we dived into them, found all the varieties hearty and delicious. YumAnd the ordering procedure and P/U couldn't have been easier. I absolutely recommend this deli department for any who are looking for a delicious, easy, sandwich catering spread !

And if you have nothing else to do, there is this Safeway that is beautiful to stop by. Awesome groceries, always full. And surprisingly this was my first time having sushi at a Safeway. Amazing, I ended up stopping by here every morning lol. Thanks you guys, and Safeway next to the Chipotle and new workout Gym, down the way. Peace, from North Cave Creek to Scottsdale.

Fresh vegetables everything in here is so very fresh. Friendly helpful store staff. The fresh flowers and display is amazing I met the woman who created all of the bouquets. She was making a rose bouquet. It was so beautiful she was so beautiful to me. We chatted for a while. The sushi was so appetizing and colorful. The sell liquor too. I was surprised the prices are half the price from NYC. Cigarettes are $10.00 maybe a lil more. I like the vibe in the store it's not at all like Nyc everyone here is in relax mode. The are not in a rush.

Unfortunately, even though this is an affluent neighborhood this particular Safeway at Scottsdale and Shea is probably the worst managed! They are poorly stocked, you have to watch expiration dates and poor quality, very limited organic fruits and vegetables. Deli section: I went in yesterday afternoon at about 3:30 PM to get a rotisserie chicken. There were two whole chickens left in the warmer in the bags and, honestly they were the size of a tiny Cornish game hen! And the price was $7.99. I brought the deli guy over to show him that he even admitted "...yeah they are really small but that's the way they sent them to us." I then went to the manager she looked at it she also admitted they are really small and "...it looks like a Cornish game hen." But then she said there's nothing I can do about the price, I can't change the price. And I commented that she should take them off the shelf then because it's an outrageous rip off to try to sell that tiny little chicken for $7.99! Took pics and called corporate office to alert them.A properly managed store shouldn't have these ongoing issues and should be able to resolve them immediately.

Good location. Butcher was friendly and helpful. Customer service rep was very nice as well. The pork ribs were on sale but rang and charged the original price. Customer service was all over it and resolved it to our complete satisfaction.

I have shopped her for almost 10 years and knew most everyone by first name. Shopping was never a chore because you knew everybody and they were more than willing to help. Over the past six months, to a person everybody is gone and now we have people that don't don't speak English.. The bathroom looks like Penn Station in NYC and it is sad because these guys had it going so nicely. I agree with a prior review that it is dirty and product is not there and now EVERYBODY at the cashier desk is from the middle east with hajibs and they literally scowl at you as you clear the bill. I'm done with this place too. Good job Albertsons... Go woke and go broke...

This is one of the better Safeways. Yesterday I stopped by the meat counter and noticed they were out of Pub Burgers. The man at the counter (Larry) said he was in the process of making more, asked how many I wanted and said to come back in 5 minutes. When I came back he had them all wrapped up and ready to go. Thank you, Larry, for that extra effort and making your store look good

This Safeway store continues to go downhill! I'm officially done shopping here. Not only is this Scottsdale store outdated and dirty, it now has few employees. They typically have only have 1-2 lanes open and push customers to self service, which is annoying when you have a cartload! I also do not recommend women shopping here in the evening because it isn't safe. Last month a man started harassing a woman cashier and wouldn't leave. I told someone to call the police and they ignored me. One of the employees told me that "this store has really changed" and she agreed to have someone escort me to my car for safety! Additionally, they are now hiring employees who barely speak English. I recommend others think twice about shopping here so that Safeway will finally invest in this store, make it safe and people will want to shop here again!

That's it! I'm done! I'm never going back to Safeway. Done! First they wanted us to register, give them all our personal information and get a shopper card I order to get the discounts and rebates. That was ok. Now we have to go online, register, download an app and install it on our phone. No! With many, many choices where I can buy my groceries, I have NO REASON to give up my peraonal information to Safeway. They don't even deliver. Target comes to my car. Whole Foods delivers. Safeway...good luck keeping your clients. Not for me. Bye! PS: Oh...and by the way you can keep the $2 of rebate you didn't want to give me on my ice cream...you will need it to pay your rent when no one comes to your stores any longer.

I really haven't ever thought about writing a review about a grocery store I go to. However, I now realize I should. We go to four different grocery stores. Only one, this Safeway at Scottsdale and Shea, still sanitizes every grocery cart before I use it. That is important to us. The Fry's, Sprouts, and Bashas used to, but they don't do so any longer. This Safeway seemed to not always have enough lanes open to check out in. However, since the pandemic started, Safeway has seemingly kept having many lanes open. It is nice because when you have to have social distancing, it blocks up the front of the store. This is an issue that has happened at other stores with us. About a year ago, Safeway started running a few great specials every week, such as butter for 74 cents or avocadoes for 19 cents. Unfortunately, you have to get to Safeway quickly as they are not that good at keeping those specials in stock. The produce at Safeway on Shea is very good. When we lived in a previous city a few years ago, we would find raspberries with mold on them or dairy products for sale after their "sell by" date. The deli is good, it has frequent sales. The bakery puts out some very good rolls and bread. This week we actually bought a cake, probably the first time in many years. It was a one-layer German chocolate cake for $5. It is fantastic. Both my wife and I made the comment of how great the container the cake came in to tightly close and keep the cake fresh. The employees are friendly, the flowers they offer are good and much more reasonably priced than other grocery stores. We really like Safeway!

Safeway Florist ROCKS!!!! Sandy absolutely knocked it out of the park for us!!! We came in with concepts and a budget, and Sandy not only worked within our budget, she made our vision come to life! From the wedding ceremony and reception, to the special touches with the bridesmaids and groomsmen, her work was A+. The flowers looked vibrant, lush, and beautiful. If you are looking for a top notch florist to come through for you on your special day, Sandy at Safeway Floral is your gal!

If you're looking for a business to handle Covid in the most On effective and stupid stupid way then come to this Safeway. Managers sometimes blow my mind with their ignorance. Apparently shutting down one exit and funneling everyone tightly through just one exit is how we stay 6 feet apart and avoid cross-contamination with Covid. Yes very smart managers d****
