The sirens beckon me to throw straight along the lake and I do, with my buddy guarding the possible trajectories into the water. We had a good time but a crummy round of golf. I want to try again.I first played this course in 1985 with my lab buddies from school. We would sneak off for a few hours any time of year and come here to the manicured fairways and wide open spaces of Vista Del Camino. The course has changed little in forty years. From the minute you step on the turf a sense of calm determination settles in. This two-hour escape from the daily grind may be just what you need.No cost, free parking.Dog-friendliness: Dogs on leashes all around.

Came here to play some disc golf. Water hazards on lots of this course so make sure you bring discs you don't mind losing. It was also very windy when we played so some overstable discs may be in order. What I liked most about it is that I've seen this park on the pro tour and really enjoyed seeing how my performance stacked up to the pros. Let's just say they're pros for a reason.

I throughly enjoy playing disc golf here. At the Shelley Sharpe Memorial disc golf course. People see quite a few disc golfers here and know roughly what people with discs are doing. Well maintained and some fun water holes make this course one to definitely visit (local or not)

As a beginner, this is my fifth park I've played. So far my favorite disc park.

Nice paved 1 mile loop from Roosevelt to McDowell rd. Weekends are a bit of a struggle due to the disc golf leagues. Lots of people playing disc golf with their dogs off leash. No point in saying anything to them as there are plenty of signs telling them to keep dogs on leash and pick up poo so they are fully aware. They just dont care. Lots of picnic benches and trash cans. Beware of theft. A couple homeless people sitting at the kids playground. The walking/biking path is used for motorized vehicles too so watch out for them as they don't let you know. Neither do the regular cyclists; so listen for traffic coming from behind at all times.Playground: Decent playground but the covered picnic area next to it has homeless people staying at it all day.Dog-friendliness: Friendly for dogs but a lot of people don't leash their dog and don't pick up the waste.Picnic area: Plenty of picnic tables and a couple covered areas. The covered area by the playground has homeless people.
