Very quiet, clean, updated rooms. The kids' pool was very nice. Had a slide and lazy river.
All the good reviews I read were just what I found to be true.

Stayed at the Villas. What a great experience. The popery is well taken care of, the staff is awesome (Joe, the waiter at the pool bar is awesome, a real asset. If you plan right you will never have to leave the property. You can cook in your own kitchen, BBQ using the outside grill, ear at the property restaurants, or eat at one of the many restaurants nearby. There are two grocery stores within a mile of the property. My only complaint while we were there, we noticed a few shady folks hanging around and no security on property.
Rooms: Very nice, everything yoy need in your room
Nearby activities: Food, drink, activities golf, shopping
Safety: More security is badly needed
Walkability: Restaurants, dinning, shopping

We had another wonderful stay at the Westin Kierland Villas. The rooms and resort grounds are beautiful, spacious and always spotless. But the staff put this resort over the top. They are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you -- the gentleman who ran the shuttles and helped us get our belongings to our room; the bartender who ran into the hotel gift shop after hours and grabbed a pool float for my daughter to purchase; the staff at the front desk who promptly responded to any need we had in the room; and most especially, the pool recreation staff who enthusiastically ran games for the children every hour on the hour, which kept our children entertained and allowed us to relax too. Thanks for a great and relaxing trip. No one wanted to leave.

We had a 2 bedroom lock-off in building 2. The rooms were conveniently located near the pools and were in excellent condition. Since we had 2 grandchildren we used the family pool. The pool is limited in size but the kids never complained. The activities at the pool were enjoyed by kids and adults. We ordered lunch at the outdoor bar and were satisfied with what we ordered. Limited menu. Overall the property is in excellent condition. We did walk to the hotel property to use the pool, slide, and lazy river. The kids liked the slide at the villas much more. We passed on the wave runner due to cost and age of our kids. Our time at the hotel pool was wonderful-the pool is SO much bigger there. I can’t say enough about everyone who works at the villas and hotel. The people we spoke to were extremely helpful and positive. They definitely made us feel welcome. This was not our first visit and we are looking forward to returning.

We never asked for housekeeping, but they came into our room while we were away to steal money out of my wallet, rum out of a bottle on the counter, and Tylenol 3's from the toiletries. Housekeeping enters rooms when guests are away from the room to steal. Ruined our vacation.

Fantastic stay....utilized a vacation promotion package for $200 Wed to Sunday had to do a 90 minute presentation tour but no big deal just say no.....had a 1 bedroom villa that was booking for $287 per night.

It’s too hot in Arizona in the summer time but great time to spend time at the water pool and get some color to the skin. There is one water slide at the pool. Kids and the parents could enjoy the family time there. Some fun activities will be held at the pool as well, such as watermelon competition, balloon pop, etc. The water slide closed at 6pm and the pool closed at 7pm. The rooms were cozy, clean and quiet with the spacious living room. The dessert view from the room could be seen with the mountains far at the back.
Rooms: Cozy and clean bedrooms with the spacious living room. Laundry, kitchen and massage bath tub available in the room.
Nearby activities: Water pool, lazy river, water slides, shopping, golf, fitness.
Safety: Very safe in the area.

We love the Westin brand and enjoyed our stay immensely. However, at booking my wife and I thought we were booking the Westin Kierlan Resort and Spa. I'm disappointed that we were not told at booking or even during a followup call by Westin staff that we were not booking the resort.

The staff here is great, especially at the marketplace and pool staff. Keep in mind, nothing is open very late here so be prepared.
