Sherwin Williams is my paint! Anyone that knows me knows how much I love the Cashmere line of paint. I have never painted with anything that covers so smoothly and completely. I have lived in several states and all my store reps have always been great but NONE compare to Darcie. She is my favorite Sherwin Williams rep. After meeting her at a SW event, she went out of her way to meet with me and make sure my account was current. As a Realtor, I always carry the large size color swatches of my favorite colors to listing consultations. Today I picked up my ColorSnap Match Pro so I can offer my clients even better paint matching options. I think every agent should own one.

I'm converting all of my clients to Sherwin-Williams paints, between the big box stores - the staff don't have the depth of knowledge of the industry. Darcie is an incredibly knowledgeable sales rep. who knew EXACTLY what paint bases were needed to meet the requirements of a surgery center. The acrylic-latex blend was a one coat and done. I used the color snap device to identify the color and sheen already there, it was a perfect match!

My wife went to get samples for our house project. Apparently their company has some paint shortage and we weren't able to buy any. This is I guess understandable even though no other store has this issue. What's not acceptable is the counter girls behavior to perspective customer. Lots of better places to get paint and samples. Dont waste your time.

All I can say is that Austin and Paul are absolutely AMAZING! Patient, helpful, knowledgeable and always greeted my wife and I with a smile even though we had to come back several times due to our bad choices. They went above and beyond to help! Thank you!

I was mad at my painter Martinez Painting, because he cut corners and painted my newly constructed bare wood ramada with Duration, but did not prime first. And he didn't get up on a ladder to spray the wood facing the sky, and make sure he covered all surfaces. So some of the wood was still bare and naked. So I asked if Duration was good enough to be primer and paint both. Louie was very knowledgeable about difference between Duration and A100 and their highest quality paint (I think called Emerald). And how you could get away with not using a primer with Emerald, but iffy with Duration, primer would make the paint last longer. Louie gave me excellent service, educating me about SW paint and application.

This last week my wife and I repainted our foyer and living and dining rooms. Last time we did this, about 10 years ago, we used Sherwin Williams paint. This time I decided to try Home Depot, because Consumer Reports magazine had good reviews of their paints quality. To my surprise, very light colored paint from Home Depot covered very dark existing colors in these rooms with just one coat.Interestingly, after half the living room was painted with the new color including the baseboard, we decided we prefer the old baseboard color, a dark gray green Sherwin-Williams color called Porpoise. to my surprise, it took two coats of this dark paint to cover the now nearly white baseboard. It also took two coats to cover the repairs on the door jam around French doors that I had spackled, sanded and then prime painted What a difference in the abilities of the paint from Home Depot and the paint from Sherwin-Williams to cover. And the Sherwin-Williams paint was $30 per quart, reduced to $23 because we have an account there. I learned that having an account there only means you have bought paint there before. You don’t have to be a pro.The folks who helped me there were very nice and professional. I do not fault them in the slightest. My total beef is with the quality and the expense of the Sherwin-Williams paint, which I am comparing very very unfavorably to Home Depot paint. A good education for me.
