Asked for an estimate for a spaying and said I need to pay for a initial visit for the estimate. I further explained that I need an estimate since my pet is a foster and need Pre approval for vet expenses. She responded rudely saying "you are not listening to what I said". Estimates only after paying for consultation. This is not the first time they did something similar. Just the first time I am writing about it. Buyer beware, they are just a money grab

I recently had a great experience at Scottsdale Ranch. My pet was seen same day and the doctor was very caring and explained her test results in great detail. I am impressed with their compassion and professionalism. I will bring my dog here from now on.

I have been taking my small dog to the grooming salon attached to this business for a number of years. I am always pleased with the work Brenda does on my very small cocker spaniel. Last month, I was asked to sign a "contract" basically holding the business harmless for any issues resulting in illness or injury while under their care and allowing them to make medical decisions without my consent, for which I would be financially responsible. My reaction was an absolute NO, I will not sign a document giving your business carte blanche for illness or injury to my pet resulting from what could be caused by negligence. Several years ago I stopped bringing my pets to this facility for veterinary services because I was uncomfortable with the level of care my pets were receiving. Today when I brought my dog in for her scheduled grooming, I was told that the Manager has decided my pet would not be allowed to be groomed there until I sign their consent contract, which in essence is a "hold harmless" agreement. Isn't it ironic that no one called to cancel the appointment before I showed up? This goes to my theory the business is more about money than about providing quality care. Always read the fine print in contracts. In my opinion, this business is all about the money grab!

Dealing with an unexpected cancer diagnosis is incredibly difficult for anyone. Milo, a happy 10-year-old terrier, suddenly had a few days left with us. One night, my sister noticed something was wrong with his belly. I thought he was constipated, but my sister, the most attentive dog mom, could tell something was wrong. Milo had a tumor that ruptured, catching us all off guard. He had regular checkups at his vet, and there were no signs of Milo being sick. I had my sister reach out to The Scottsdale Ranch Animal Hospital, and Britni and Milo had an appointment within the hour. However, given Milo's advanced stage, there were limited options. It was hard to comprehend how he was jumping, playing, and as happy as can be one day and then having to let him go the next. Scottsdale Ranch Animal Hospital was there for us, supporting my sister through it all. In the end, Milo passed away peacefully with his family. We're grateful for Dr. McCoy and the caring staff at Scottsdale Ranch Animal Hospital during this difficult time. If you're in Scottsdale and need compassionate care for your pet, I highly recommend them. I went to them for my dog, Bliss, and my friend regularly brings his cat Kali to them, their established vet. This clinic genuinely cares about animals and how much they matter to families. I have only wonderful things to say. Thank you.

Have been bringing my dog to Brenda for grooming for many years, always does a good job, but this last time was my last time. Their lettuces have gone up since I first started going there but this time it was over $30 more than the last time. When i questioned the bill they said because it had been a while since she was last there, she's getting older and it takes longer because of her age! When i got home and looked at the invoice along with my others i noticed they charged for a large dog. My dog has always been a medium-sized dog. Now, all of a sudden she is a large dog even though she weighs less than the last time she was there! It would have been nice if they gave me a heads up that they were going to fleece me. Best to find another groomer unless you want to get fleeced too!

I just have to shout out Adrienne. I've recently had to be in a lot due to having to put down my baby. Adrienne has been exceptionally amazing, in person and over the phone. I haven't always had the same experience coming here and I've been coming for years and she's completely changed my mind. She is so accommodating and sweet and makes for such a comfortable environment especially when it cannot be sometimes. So thank you Adrienne I so appreciate you.

I went to get updated shots for my dog. Unfortunately, the experience was not great and they were deceptive with cost. They gave a 2 minute exam that I did not ask for and it cost $94. It is not an exaggeration when I say it was 2 minutes long. Also, they did not mention anything about doing an exam for my dog prior. They charge $10.75 for “Medical Waste” which is the price of one needle that has to be thrown away. My dog is my baby and I will spend whatever money is required for her care. However, I don’t like being deceived and not informed about everything they intend on doing. You can get better care for the same price anywhere else.

This place 1000% cares about dollars more than dogs, 1000%. I have been going there about 2 years, originally an office visit was $69, then in a year it was $89, last time I went it was $109. A nail clip for my dog was $18.50 which was ridiculous to begin with, next time I went it was $38.50 ! Outrageous ! Especially considering the Vet Techs leave a LOT to the imagination -- the oriental guy DRUG my dog the last time I was there, early January...DRUG him by his harness to get close to cut his nails. Instead of him going to my dog, he DRUG my dog - who was clearly traumatized by this. Dr. Cue Ball ( Travis Nick) will not see you if he does not like you, he will have one of the other Vets see you. This place is full of liberal snowflakes, do NOT and I mean do NOT drop a swear word, you will be banned. I had been looking for a new place to take my fur baby, he is the most important thing in the World to me and when I saw that oriental vet tech DRAG my dog, I was done and done with this place. One of the other commenters said do not believe negative reviews, well believe me, I love my dog more than anything and this place is a money grab.

Cat boarding area is comfortable, clean and, most importantly, quiet despite being part of the clinic’s lobby. Our cat is very calm when I pick her up. Also, the front desk staff is very friendly and helpful.
