It’s fine. Rooms are getting g a little tired. The service is nice. The resort fees and meager breakfast are not amazing. You are paying for location. If that’s important to you then this is fine.

You can’t beat the location for this hotel. The rooms were very tidy on arrival and the food at their restaurant was incredible. That was probably my favorite part. Their staff was all so kind and their quality of service made it hard to venture outside the hotel. I wanted to try everything on the menu.
Walkability: Right in old town. A few mins walk from shops.

I am a Titanium Elite member, and by far, this hotel has the worst restaurant service of any. I stay at a Marriott almost every week.
The first day service was slow, and I never got a water refill or was offered a second drink.
The second day, I was on a table for 15 minutes without anyone offering any service! After at least 15 minutes, I got up and went to a local Mexican restaurant.
Not a restaurant I would ever recommend. Just terrible.

Stayed here on a business trip and it was a very good experience. The rooms were nice and big, the restaurant in the lobby was good, and the staff was friendly. My only complaint is that we had to pay $30 for daily parking, and the ramp down to the parking garage is pretty narrow so it's a little tight, but the stay was good overall

Great hotel and location. The staff was wonderful, friendly and professional, from check-in with Anita, guest service assistance with Tyler and room service, Connie.
Awesome large rooms, beds were super comfortable, clean well maintained rooms. Great stay! Thank you Scottsdale Marriott staff.
Will be back.

It was ok...a bit older/outdated. King room/suite or whatever it is called has a super weird layout and the only air vent was in the bedroom (which is great while sleeping, but the "living room suite" and the bathroom had zero AC. Again, not bad, just really weird)
Very much a "biz/conference" type hotel and definitely should not be charging "resort fees"... it's not even close to a resort style hotel.
Photos online *definitely* make it look nicer/more updated than it is. They did have a few offers for their status customers, but could've been better with the new update to "resort fees" still having to be paid when using points. They tried, I guess...
Staff did announce my room number upon check in versus simply handing me the card with the number on it and I had to ask where the elevator was...the first time in years that's happened. ESPECIALLY since I was clearly a solo, female traveler. He did say he was new, so training opportunity there (also, probably should just give out 2 keys instead of asking if someone wants 1 or 2.)

Good hotel, would stay here again. 4 stars out of 5.
Negatives: no valet or concierge, which is more of a luxury rather than a necessity. Stairways can be difficult to find and might exit at random spots. Size of the suite was a bit smaller than I've seen in other properties, but it got the job done. Rooms are a bit dated, not a ton of sink space, hard to share between two people.
Positives: Easy and secure parking in underground parking garage, which requires a key or pass from the front desk. GREAT location, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and night clubs in Oldtown Scottsdale. Employees were very helpful and had positive attitudes. Breakfast at the restaurant was good. Rooms were comfortable.
Overall, would consider staying here again on my next trip to Scottsdale. 4 stars out of 5.
Nearby activities: Oldtown Scottsdale shopping, local gift stores and boutiques, plenty of restaurants, popular night club area all within walking distance.

I’m giving the rooms four stars only because of all of the outside noises. It sounds like there is a airplane taking off over and over again, you can be pretty distracting when you’re trying to sleep.
But besides that I give The rest five stars because the rooms are very clean, but mostly because of one outstanding employee named Arelie. I left my phone in the Uber that brought me to the hotel. My phone had my ID, credit cards, etc. in it. So I couldn’t check in. But Arelie spent at least an hour helping me get online in the business center to contact Uber to get my phone and ID back. There was a lot of back-and-forth because it’s not incredibly easy to get your phone back once you’ve left it in an Uber, but she stayed with me until the end and helped me figure out how to contact the driver. She upgraded my room for the trouble and kept me calm while I was dealing with it all.
Walkability: Close to everything you need

I've been here twice and it's overall a lovely place, except I'm concerned about the "floaters" I found in my water both times (see photo).
