Scottsdale Child Care & Learning Center offers both the structure and freedom that children need to thrive. You can tell their staff has a passion and affinity for their work. Big bonus: They have a heart for Christ and it reflects in all that they do. I'd recommend anyone and everyone to SLC.

SLC is a wonderful daycare. Period! After reading the horrific comments and lower reviews, I was astonished. It just cannot be more false. I happen to have high standards for our kids' well being as most great parents would. I happen to be overprotective and somewhat of a "helicopter mom" myself and I fully admit it, and I questioned the staff on EVERYTHING. Not one time was the staff ever disrespected, dodged any of my questions, ever laid more than a gentle finger on my children. These accusations of bruises is straight up messed up and outlandish.I have had both my children in the school for almost 2 years. The teachers have been absolutely wonderful to communicate with, they are kind, and show a huge amount of care and understanding. They are dedicated and hands on. That goes for the front desk as well. The administration is always there glowing and ready to help and take care of your child. The owner comes in daily, which I cannot say for most other businesses. I was completely disgusted with the negative reviews and it just goes to show the "SNOTS" in our town coming over from other cities. (You don't hear native Arizonans behaving/speaking this way)I would recommend this school for wonderful care, organization, safety and value. In a Montessori setting, you would see staff with tattoos all the way up their arm, as if "expressing yourself" was becoming a little too broad. Just saying. I would hate for my children to question marking on their own skin. Also, in Montessori settings, you would have a lot more mixed ages, and a lot more "playful bruises" I would imagine. NO your facts people.

My two children attended SCCLC at Raintree from the time they were 1 until Kindergarten. We all enjoyed their time there - the front office staff is very friendly and patient, and the teachers really care about the kids. Both kids were well-prepared for Kindergarten. They also include lunch which is nice, and have extra classes the kids can take like Spanish, cooking and dance.

My son has been here for two years. Every day for two years including summers when I walk in, there is always someone to greet you with a smile. The teachers have shown care and compassion towards my son. It is basically his second home because he is there from 8-5:30pm. He is always excited to go to school and is really flourishing. I feel very lucky to have found this school for him. Thank you all who make it happen on a daily basis.

I started my daughter here when she had just turned 1, the experience started off great, Miss Lelia & Megan in room 2 were nothing shy of amazing. Lesson plans were on point and my daughter learned so much and advanced in speech development. When my daughter turned 1&1/2 they bumped her up to room 3, and that’s when all the issues arose. In past childcare settings my child had been abused, so every day after daycare, I’d check my daughters legs & arms for any “grab marks”. On February 8th 2021, while checking my daughter, I noticed the 3 bruises & a thumb print bruise and I was DEVASTATED. The director (Shela-Lyn) & I met the next day when she told me that I need to trust and get closer with Jesus because there is no way that one of her girls would ever hurt a child & suggested the bruises were from “falling on a Lego”. She 100% gaslighted me. She suggested I go to therapy and cope with my last abuse related trauma as she had to when she was in a car accident, hit by a drunk driver. She knew the truth, this teacher, jazmine, had been abusing children, and she was given second and third, fourth, lord knows how many chances.. until now, a year later, she was fired. Hundreds of children encountered this MONSTER before she was delt with.SCCLC, I want an apology- for what my daughter encountered at this “school” and for how you made me feel for addressing this very serious concern, you never took a second to investigate even after YOU KNEW this “teacher” had past allegations that are now confirmed.

We absolutely love this daycare / school for our two boys. The teachers are caring and attentive, the lunches are healthy and tasty, and there's plenty of extracurriculars offered. Highly recommend!

If you expect this daycare to watch your kids you have another thing coming for you. They will pack each room with lot of kids and let them fend for themselves. I spent 6 years( 2 boys) with this daycare and tried to work with them, then they told me my 4 year old boy need to potty training because during his naps ( naps last as long as the kids are asleep, they will not wake them up early, therefore you will have a very awake kid when he is home) as the problem continues now my 4 year old was wetting during nap. This is the reason for the "break". I call about 5 other daycares and they would not kick a kid out of there daycare for the same problem. They completely forget what business they are in... It's called Childcare.....

Staff - extremely welcoming and helpful. Price- most reasonably priced childcare center I've found in this area.Curriculum - organized and thorough. They touch on writing, reading, art, physical activity, and music daily.

My 1 star is for this comment only. If I could write a review with no stars I would. It amazes me that you’re unable to provide information to parents over the phone. The first thing I was told was I needed to pay 100$ for registration. This does not seem like the daycare/ “learning center” I want my child to be a part of.

My husband and I could not be happier with how our daughters have been given a safe and trustworthy environment to play and learn at SLC. Due to a change in job/move to closer daycare, our daughters no longer attend SLC (as of 8/9/2021) but we definitely recommend them if you are looking for childcare in the area. Our 3.5 year old attended SLC from the time she was 8 months old. As new parents, the staff at SLC made us feel comfortable in choosing them to take care of our daughter. When it was time, we did not hesitate for our second daughter to join SLC when she was 6 months old. The entire staff was highly attentive to caring for our eldest daughter's food sensitivities and our youngest was always laughing and smiling when we picked her up from class. The staff was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had (ex. requests for expense reports for reimbursement). One time our daughter grabbed/ate a snack from a classmate that had gluten (she has a mild sensitivity, not an allergy) and the staff called both of us right away to report what happened. We never had to worry about our girls once they were dropped off, SLC's staff proved over and over that they are trustworthy, kind, and the right choice for our family.

From the time our first daughter was crawling, she's been cared for like family by the amazing team at SLC. Now that we are leaving (logistical challenges due to a work change), out family cannot recommend SLC highly enough. By the end of our time at SLC we had both of our daughters enrolled (3.5yrs + 1yrs old) and we always knew they were in good hands. The daily reports, the attention to our daughter's health needs, the constant patience, and helpful tips (Thank you to Miss Montana for the rash recommendations!) have made it a bittersweet goodbye. A safe place, filled with fun and love, staffed by teachers who treat every kid like their own, what more could you ask for?

This is the best day care hands down. I love the staff, the location, the energy, the cleanliness, and the curriculum- so does my son! We have been taking him to this school for 3 years now and I cannot say enough good things about our experience. The staff is so kind and caring- always helpful and smiling. They are so sweet to our boy! I get constant updates, which I love. They provide all snacks, meals, and diapers. They also only charge for the days he is in school as opposed to a fixed monthly rate. We moved about 2 years ago so I drive an extra 30 minutes twice a day just to keep our son in their care. We are skeptical with babysitters and all that, so for us to find this place was really exciting. He is learning so much thanks to his teachers. All the girls are so thoughtful, the facility is well organized and maintained. It feels like a second home and like extended family. I highly recommend this location!

SLC has been such a blessing to my daughter and our family. My daughter attended since she was 2 until 5 and the staff has become our family. I have never felt so comfortable leaving my daughter in their care. They are attentive, nurturing, loving and very experienced. Dana, Alyssa, Caroline and Riché have all shown my daughter so much love like she was their own. Do yourself a favor and have your child attend this incredible preschool. You won’t regret it.
