Vivianne has done my hair in the past and she is incredible, color, extensions. All of it. She takes her time and it's always exactly what I want. I've never left unhappy which I generally hate my hair until I get home and do it myself. Not the case with Vivianne. However this review is for my 15 year old son's haircut. I understand how ridiculous this is but I was FREAKING out about him cutting his amazing hair and Vivianne was the sweetest the whole time, totally calmed me down, and I actually love his cut. So she really can do it all. I highly recommend her for girls or guys hair!

The lady who did my hair did an amazing job but it was pretty expensive to be honest. The vibe in the salon was very fun and everyone was super sweet. I have now been there 2 times!

I recently relocated to Scottsdale from Boston and was in desperate need of a hair salon. After reading reviews and doing some research, I decided to book an appointment at Rumors Salon (DC Ranch). Greg was amazing and was able to tackle my hair which not a lot of stylists know how to (I have thick, course, Asian hair). I would definitely recommend Greg to my friends and family!

I went in and requested a full head of highlights off the scalp. I have a sensitive scalp, and I had a little under an inch of regrowth. I very politely explained how sensitive my scalp was and that I preferred keeping all product off my scalp. I wanted to go from black to brown to match my roots. Was getting a big haircut and was not worried about damage. The stylist I booked with recommended a color remover route instead claiming highlights would not work on black hair. I even asked her if the color remover was going to give me hot roots (I've used many color removers in the past, and they always bleach my virgin hair to platinum). She said no. I paid $380 for the service. They shampooed me FIVE times. My scalp is burnt and my roots are bright red compared to the rest of my brown hair. When I told her that the toner was burning my forehead, she told me there were no chemicals in it so that was impossible. To my knowledge, toner has to have developer in it... regardless, my forehead is burnt. Also, they got shampoo and toner all over my face and seemed like they were purposefully trying to dump the hair from my haircut all over my face and body even knowing I had plans right after the appointment. Idk if this is all standard and I'm just being crazy but I had a legit panic attack in my car afterwards. Also, my hair was not overly compromised. It was in fine condition for what I requested.

My go to Salon for hair needs! Every stylist i worked with has been very professional, friendly and delivered on the service. Chill environment to enjoy a tea while waiting for my hair dye etc. definitely recommend any if the stylists at this salon

I have been a regular here and love Ariana and Fariba! I recently got highlights and Ariana was so great. She made sure my hair doesn’t get damaged and eased me into the lightening process . Genuine human being and incredible to talk to. Fariba is an expert when it comes to hair styles and cuts and always is fun to interact with as well.

Never go to this salon. I went in wanting platinum blonde with a root shadow, my stylist told me it would have to be done in 2 sessions which i decided I was okay with even though I told her I do not like dimension and like it to be all one solid blonde. She decided to give me a full highlight for first session which isn’t something I wanted but I trusted her that I would get what I want in 2 sessions. She didn’t have enough time for me and rushed through the service which ended up with the crown of my head (the last section she did) to be a little patchy, but still overall my hair looks good.
Everything was okay until it was time to pay. The full highlight started at $165 and I got a haircut and blow dry which on the website said $60 which includes styling. So, I expected to pay around $250 plus tip which I think is on the more expensive end but pretty standard.
I got up to the counter and was charged $410 not including tip… I have never in my life paid so much money for my hair before. I was in shock and added an 18% tip which I regret doing. All in all I got robbed $480. I called and asked for a price breakdown thinking maybe I prepaid for my next session or something because there’s no way it was that much money. The receptionist told me the breakdown
full highlight: $165
apparently I received 2 toners for $50 EACH (i’ve never paid more than $15 for a toner)
root shadow: $50
and haircut and blow dry: $95… I still have not figured out why I was charged $95 for the haircut and blow dry. The website quoted $60 for that and said it includes styling.
I am a full time college student and feel completely robbed. This service cost me almost what I make in a whole month :( I was not disclosed this price beforehand as I thought I would be charged for the full highlight, haircut + blow dry, and whatever extra bowls of bleach.
If you charge THIS MUCH for service and product why would the stylist not disclose this beforehand ?
That being said I have canceled my next appointment and will never be back there or ever recommend this place. Scammers.
Would anyone have paid $410 for what I got?

Horrible service. They did a horrible job on my extensions and placed them all in the back. Over priced and not helpful or willing to make alterations. It is an anti semetic salon.

My wife and her mom came here and raved about how amazing the service was and both of their hair styles looked great. We took our kids 10 & 4 here and I was skeptical and worried about the cost as it definitely gives high end salon vibes. First the service was impeccable. This was my 4 year olds first hair cut and she was so excited and they made sure she knew what they were doing as they cut and washed. She had such a blast and they did such a great job. My oldest has long thick hair and it was dry and needed some life back in it. They took their time with her hair and really made sure the cut and length was exactly what she wanted. I also could see they had someone new maybe an apprentice and I appreciated them letting her get hands on work and used my oldest as their model. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone needing to get their hair done. If this is the service they do for a casual cut and wash I can only imagine what they do for weddings or proms.

Great experience from beginning to end. Wonderful salon, great service, love my results, came in asking for a low maintenance balayage (sp). Would give 10 stars if I could. Will be a repeat customer for sure!

My stylist has her booth at Rumors. The salon is conveniently located for me from a proximity standpoint. The salon is always clean, and the front store/reception staff are always very nice. My stylist is Beth Brooks, who I've known for 30+ years. She is very good at color (I have strawberry blonde hair), is great with her scissors, and does a great blow dry. Her orices for Scottsdale are very reasonable.
