I had a referral to this place. I didn't bother to look at the reviews until the night before my appointment. There were so many one star reviews I became terrified. I was so stressed out about going here I wanted to cancel but I had already put off treatment for my broken foot for a couple weeks because of my dads passing. It needed to be addressed ASAP. As I walked through the front door, those 1 star reviews began to climb. The receptionists/schedulers greeted my husband and I with kindness and smiles. I checked in with ease. I was asked to be seated. A technician promptly came out to get me for X-rays within 5 minutes. She efficiently took the X-rays and took me back to the waiting area. Again, within 5 minutes I was called back to see the doctor who turned out to be so comforting in his knowledge and perfect balance of humor and professionalism. He was very explanatory of my journey to recovery and then sent me off with a I believe was a physical therapist to show me how to properly wear my boot and to make sure I was perfectly comfortable in the fit that I am to be in for the next 5 weeks. Amazing job of this entire office!! I highly recommend ignoring the low reviews. Oh and my doctor was Tharesh Udupa!

Terrible customer service. Long wait in a crowded, cramped waiting room. Dr. is okay, but my heavens, I'm not getting ANY RELIEF. He wants yet another MRI in case something has changed..... I think I'll still have a fractured spine show up in the 3rd MRI. Injured back from automobile accident, which is being handled by my lawyer, but they won't take any more appointments from me until the bill is paid IN FULL. Found this out after driving there for an appointment despite the fact that they have all my attorney and medical insurance information. Time to find another doctor so I can stop having my time and money wasted and finally get some relief!!

They have no respect for their patients' time. More than an hour after my appointment time and stuck in a standing only waiting area. Last time I waited an hour in a hot, claustrophobic room. I won't be back.

So disorganized. Lack of communication. Family member Scheduled for hand surgery; written pre surgical instructions didn't match the verbal given by scheduler. Verbal did not include instruction to use anti microbial before hand. Called to ask him to come earlier. More than an hour in the waiting room/lobby. No progress/update communications. It goes on and on. Frankly, we should have ran for the hills and not had the surgery.

I'm always hesitant to be one of the first reviewers and recommending someone specifically at a practice, lest too many see my review and it be hard for me to make an appointment... so...I won't. But I prefer this location to the north Phoenix CORE because it's closer to me and it's multiple times smaller, so much easier to get in and out of the building. Last time I visited, I waited in the patient room for over an hour - definitely uncharacteristic for this practice. My dr's medical assistant is a true gem - whether or not he really cares, he sure seems to, and he is pretty good about returnings messages and completing follow-through. All in all, it's part of the American medical system, so nothing is 5-stars, but CORE is better than many.

My doc is great but my gosh, the people at the front desk act miserable!!! It really makes for a less than desirable experience. Smile, talk to people when they talk to you, at least pretend you're happy to be at work. It's this way at most Core Facilities. If it weren't for my doc, I'd change who I see!! Front desk is first people we see, make sure you represent the people you work for.

I called and got in within 3 hours, They were kind, expedient and helped me get in for a CT scan the same day. Dr Nina Patel has an excellent professional bed side manner and diagnosed me that the CT scan confirmed.

Disorganized to the "core." Initial appointment had a two hour wait time just to see the Dr. for an initial intake. That was fine, but not too great, but it's in the midst of an Az. health crisis. I couldn't schedule any other follow-on appointments in advance with the Dr. Basically, you have to wait for all MRI images to come back to the office, even with multiple MRI's and referrals that are pre-approved by insurance but put in separately. A fully ackowledged full spine issue shouldn't take 6 weeks to image. After 6 weeks of waiting for the fully insured and funded pain consult treatment plan to begin, I get to schedule the medical procedures. Intake staff is nice, but there are diffrent nurses every visit and sometimes no call back from the Dr.'s nurse after multiple messages trying to confirm that the MRI images have made it back to the office. After booking treatments in advance with a very helpful and pleasant scheduler, I get a call the morning of my first treatment that the x-ray machine had been broken nearly two hours and they can't get it fixed and are "calling patients as quickly as they can." I even called that morning to confirm the treatment length time so that I would know when to schedule a pick up ride. I was then told to just keep the appointment for the next treatment 3 weeks away (after waiting nearly two months) in lieu of this one. I called scheduling and they sent me to the Clinical Director (Ann/Anne) of this location in order to schedule to meet the Dr. at his other Mesa location. Don't ever even bother with her, she makes a simple issue a complete debacle! She said she would have to call me back the next day before 12 pm (noon) to see if that is possible. I never get a call back, so I call at 1 pm. There are major miscommunication issues from this point on, and it's obvious they have no idea what they are doing at this location. She told me that "We are new. I want to make sure you are covered but you can't switch Dr.'s locations, or go to other treatment locations for this Dr. Also, this Dr. has to release you from his care before you can go to another Core facility for treatment." She kept asking what the real issue was and then the excuses started. She said that "We would call you right away if our x-ray machine was broken." I let her know that I got a call nearly two hours later on the day of the appointment (they told me it broke at 8:15 am) and there seem to be major communication issues with in the office. In short, after speaking with my insurance company, it seems that the Clinical Director could have stepped in at any point and tried to remedy this debacle. Stay away from this location until they get an experienced staff that can handle medical procedures. This is nothing short of scary, showing utter incompetency and complete disregard/disrespect for patient care. I've heard other locations and Dr's are really good so this should not reflect on the entire Core Institute. Would not recommed Scottsdale at this point!
