I sent a letter to the corporate location with my payment info asking for them to cancel my account, as the directions on their website said. I was charged $200 dollars for two months of membership for which I never used.

Definitely different than a few of the other mountainside locations I have been to. It seemed a bit more. Utilitarian but there was also a lot more variety in some of the fitness equipment versus a few of the other locations.

Good gym with friendly staff, but the locker rooms are always a mess and the showers are pretty rank. For what we pay I'd expect the gym to be 24/7 and for the locker room to actually be nice. If it wasn't 2 minutes away from home I wouldn't be a member.

This is a great location, Garrett has exceptional customer service and makes delicious smoothies! Best Mountainside I have been to so far!

I have tried Mountainside gyms using my friends $10 day pass. But each of the gyms has a yelp check in one free day that the employees don't seem to know about. I went to the Desert Ridge location and they turned me away or said I could do the 5 day pass. So I came to this location and asked to do the 5 day pass. I agree with other reviews that comment on the young adult insensitivity to customer service. The staff seems to be high school age and bothered by anything more than checking you in. I was told to fill out a online form and an in person form. I checked that I was not interested in a membership even though I am, simply because the last time when i went with my friend I got several phone calls and I didn't want to repeat that. They took my drivers license and I was allowed to enter the gym. The gym itself was surprisingly hot. I specifically came for the aerobic equipment. After 30 minutes on the treadmill I was ready to leave due to the hot rather musty smelling atmosphere. I went to the front desk to claim my license and the manager who was also very young suspiciously asked why I wanted a 5 day pass if I wasn't interested in a membership. I explained my prior experience and that made her even more suspicious that I had tried Mountainside in the past and not signed up. The Mountainside I went to before was in South Mesa and it was new and very pleasant unlike this location. After going back and forth with me on the defensive explaining my reasons for wanting a membership she gave me a 5 day pass. Overall it was a cold, hostile experience with the staff and the gym was too hot for me to work out in. So far the Old Town location and the new location in Mesa are the only places I have enjoyed visiting. Old Town also acknowledged my yelp pass and let me use it. Unfortunately I don't plan on coming back to this location.

Not only does the Kids Club have a little movie theater, basketball court, and bouncy castle, but everyone that works there is wonderful. The Parent’s Night Out events are great too! Love

We love this gym for many reasons but especially the childcare. It’s so much easier working out when you know your kids are happy, having fun, and being taken care of by wonderful people.

I love this place for my kids to spend time at the gym! Everyone is so sweet and patient, and it’s super clean and a lot of options for the kids to play with/do in the kids area!

Very good location - one of my favorites when I'm in town. It's one of the bigger locations - with plenty of cardio options and a wide variety of machines. They even had a medicine ball rebounder that helped me out during a period of rehab. The weight side of the gym can be a little crowded during rush hour, but you can definitely get all your muscle groups done here in a flash. Locker room wise, I appreciate the longer stretch which gives more privacy when changing. They got both dry and wet saunas, and the showers were on the cleaner side compared to other locations. Otherwise it's set with plenty of parking, and easy access to the 101 via Indian Bend.

LiterallI was asked to leave the premises because my girlfriend and I were training together. This reflected poorly on their trainer, as I have more skills than their trained staff who earn $15 per hour and still require termidious amount of training themselves. This was an extremely unprofessional encounter, and I will not visit this location again. It felt similar to a Planet Fitness experience. I operate a successful online fitness program that generates a six-figure income/month and I believe I unintentionally threatened their personal training business. It appears that their trainers require additional assistance. I advise against engaging their services unless you wish to risk injury and achieve no results!

Entry Doors are dirty. Staff have no direction and don’t care about basic hygiene and maintaining cleanliness of the reception, computer screens or ongoing spraying and cleaning of the front glass doors and handles which get stained and filthy very quickly from traffic of customers.One can see the layer of dust on the computer screens which the staff is using.

This was my first time to the Scottsdale location. The front desk gentleman was happy, friendly and very helpful.I took my grandson to the kids area and the lady working was also happy and joking around with him.The fitness area was clean.I will definitely come back to this location!

Got stuck into an annual contract. Was talked into doing an annual contract by sales staff after asking for a 5 day pass. I signed up specifically for Zumba and other classes which are always filled and pre-booked on app since I joined! I was able to get into 1 class...the rest of time they are booked! I called and left messages with management about how to get out of this bad arrangement. Was told I'd get called back...never happened. Very disappointed with this gym and the contract games. Why pay for classes that are always booked ahead of time???? Its like bait and switch.

Doing 1 star so hopefully they see this and fix the issues. I enjoy working out here, but it’s been chronically hot in this building, no matter how many people are on the floor or what time of day. It makes working out kind of miserable. Additionally 25% of the treadmills on the cardio deck are broken, and everyone has to fight to be able to use one of the working ones. Hope these issues get fixed soon. (Edit: if you cooled down the temp and fixed the broken machines that would fix the issue, thanks)
