So we got here just as the renovation construction was winding down. We stayed for the weekend. However, their main restaurants and main bar weren’t due to be open until the following Tuesday. The $150 million dollar renovation is top shelf. More open airy, nicer rooms and furniture etc. I hope to visit to enjoy it more next year. You should check it out.

What a nightmare. If you have a vacation booked here (especially as a family) in the next several months, my advice would be to cancel.
I already have a list of items that have gone absolutely awry, but let me start by saying I am currently in a dark room holding my 15mo old and next to my 3yo, trying to get them a nap as the fire alarms are tested repeatedly after a whopping 10min of warning. This has been going on for 20min now and each test lasts as long as 45sec of speaking and blaring sirens.
Back to the beginning. It started to get off track right at check-in. I had requested early check-in prior to arrival, and we chose our early flight with the optimistic tone in mind when I was told they would put me down for 8am check-in and that occupancy was not full the night prior so there was a good chance to get a room in the morning. At 10:38am day of arrival, I texted the hotel asking and was told “I am looking and I was stay possibly about an hour maybe more due to there being 2 rooms, but I will definitely let housekeeping know to work on it.” Arriving with two exhausted kids up since 3am local time, we elected to enjoy the pools thinking we could catch a long nap for them over lunch time and get a nice reset. At nearly 1pm, we called the front desk to figure out what was going on and the person told my husband now “4pm”. I headed up to the front desk to clarify this huge discrepancy and was given a LOT of attitude by the front desk clerk (Hyatt - I am happy to provide you with the name of this extremely rude individual). He continued to reiterate that 4pm is the guarantee and occupancy can change, citing being full (despite there being HARDLY a soul around those days, literally). When I asked him if he was just saying 4pm to cover his ass, or if that was realistic, saying I needed to figure out how to get my kids a nap, he repeated “4pm”. Our room was then ready 18min later, right about the time my kids fell asleep in the car for what would be a crap short nap.
CONSTRUCTION very much underway all over the property. About a week prior to arrival, I had received an email about the construction situation. The update presented that only a couple of restaurants were still undergoing constructions. This is not the case at all.
The playground is closed (important for us because - kids). Rooms are still undergoing updates (loud drilling heard just above us at 06:18 morning after arrival which woke us all up). Front desk not done (only two check-in places - good things it’s mostly empty!). Door keys and electronic key didn’t work. The only open restaurants are the pool bars, so after 5pm you have about 4 items to choose from for dinner. Even the lobby bar is not open. The parking lot is under construction and full of construction worker vehicles promarily.
The only access to the pools is down one of two extremely steep staircases. We had our stroller the first time we went, and had to carry it down. Had staff noticed our stroller, they may have thought to mention it.
Lastly - a potential safety issue. The day after we arrived in the afternoon, I noticed a sudden smell of rotten eggs. Concerned for natural gas related to the remodel, I called and asked that someone come check it out. It took about 25min for a maintenance person to arrive, who declined to say much of anything other than that he would confer with the front desk. After not hearing back from them for 45min, I reached out to find out they would move our room but another wasn’t ready. About 20min after that - the smell dissipated and I elected to stay in our room (not seeing what difference a room change would make and hoping whatever issue was resolved). Today the second day of our stay, we are smelling it again so now I’m going to go find another resort to move to.

Came here on a resort day pass; probably our favorite in all of the PHX area.

Fire alarm testing should not occur before noon or transpire more than once a day. The property is beautiful but this made a stay less than relaxing. The gym has state of the art equipment and ample space. The pool is massive, with several interlinking pools. Adding a swim up bar would enhance appeal even more. Landscaping is picturesque. The resort fell short on noise control.
Rooms: Room includes rain shower, mini fridge, patio. I stayed in 3106. I do wish the patio had privacy walls. All neighbors can see each other. Bathroom lacks a soaking tub, which I usually enjoy on vacation. Also mini fridge was not stocked with any beverages. Usually upscale resorts include a variety of beverages and light snacks.
Nearby activities: Lots of restaurants and strip malls within 10 minute or less driving distance. We enjoyed a hot air balloon ride and ATV tour. Property has shuttle bus to various locations. One major dissatisfaction was the constant testing of the fire alarm system, multiple times in one day was extremely disruptive. After getting up at 4 am to do a sunrise hot air balloon tour, we just wanted to relax in our room for 2 hours before an evening tour. This did not happen due to fire alarm testing and ringing bells.

Don’t book during construction. Apparently construction has been ongoing for awhile.
Woken up at 530am to rotary and cutting tools. Then the large trucks came. Then I went back to the room later in the day and all the fire alarms were going off due to the construction. This continued for hours. Never staying here again.

Very confusing property layout. Got turned around numerous times just trying to find my room. Construction was noisy and dirty and ran from 5:30am to 8pm. Only one restaurant open and not for dinner. Pools and rooms were great. But we don't care to return.

This place should NOT be open right now during this construction phase. The money they might be making right now will not be worth the backlash of peoples terrible stays.
I'm here with a group, and when they say this place is under construction, it's most of the building. Tons of dust in the air, makeshift pathways, closed elevators, construction workers EVERYWHERE. The restaurant is in a conference room. most of the normal amenities are closed. The jackhammers and construction noise start at 5:30 am. And last all day. This place is NOT relaxing right now. And the hotel has not been very accommodating in regards to making the stay better around it.
One of the people in our group had a construction worker ENTER HER ROOM UNANNOUNCED and then LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN when they left and the hotel tried to brush it under the rug. This morning she had large metal railings being flown over her head on her balcony because they were working on her balcony... Once again announced.
There are a few people in the hotel staff that have been doing their best and are doing a good job. Such as the pool servers and the valet company, those guys are doing the best they can in a bad situation.
But this place is out of control. I would highly recommend waiting until this place is completely finished with the renovations

We had the pleasure to stay here for Labor Day weekend and it was a delightful experience. Yes, construction was underway! The staff did the absolute best they could to accommodate us. The rooms are phenomenal, the pools are to die for. The property itself is a picturesque moment.
Pool staff- ABSOLUTELY Ahfreakingmazing! My husband enjoyed his birthday and the water slide kicked his ass but he lived lol! Sarah and Miquel were amazing. Can’t wait to go back.
Food- ❤️

This was a fun family weekend getaway.
Unfortunately there is major construction going on at this property.
But all in all we enjoyed our staycation.
Rooms: Rooms are very clean and comfortable
Safety: It’s a very safe location.

Had reservations for September 10-14, 2024 many months in advance. Called about renovations and was assured hotel would be ready by early September. Pulled up to main hotel entrance on Tuesday, September 10 and saw a major construction site with forklifts, scaffolding, etc. Main lobby is closed with scaffolding everywhere. 50% of rooms are closed. Spa and fitness center are closed with alternative sites across the street. Loud construction noise (jackhammers, drills, forklifts) beginning in the morning and lasting all day. The owners should have CLOSED THE ENTIRE HOTEL for these renovations. The hotel staff refunded all our reservation money and we moved to the Royal Palm Resort in Scottsdale. It will cost us an additional $750 - $1,000, but worth it!!
