Excellent dinner! We started with the street fries and crab hush puppies, which were both very good. I ordered the duck fired rice. The duck was very tender and the egg on top was cooked perfectly, I really enjoyed it. The dish was also the perfect size; not too small and not too big. My girlfriend ordered the grilled shrimp. She enjoyed it, but did say the shrimp could have been more tender. The best part of the dinner was desert. We ordered the date cake and it was incredible. The bourbon toffee sauce on top is amazing! On top of the delicious food the service was great as well. We were in/out within an hour and did not feel rushed.

Hush is an appropriate name; very loud ; needs serious help with acoustics.Do not come here hungry! Entrees are tiny. Nothing comes with it. I ordered lamb shoulder and got a tortilla with shredded lamb. It was more like an appetizer. The scallops wouldn’t fill a tiny child.Hush will leave you still hungry after spending over $100 per person (including wine)

As a foodie, I can't believe this restaurant has never been mentioned or popped up in my search. The atmosphere is great at the bar, otherwise horrible. Cheap chairs and tables in a side dark room? It's like you're at the VFW in a Carolina. Plus it is in a strip mall. Great to find a reuse of the space but someone needs to do something about the facade and ambience in the side room. I would not eat there.Drinks were great. Grand entrance was different, spicy and delicious. Likewise for the tequila drink. The menu had severalsmall plates. Great for older people or sharing. Unusual dishes so all good there. But the green beans were cold and the Szechuan chili sauce was overly salty. The scampi red sauce was also way over salted. Can't get my ring off this morning overly salty! Fried rice was great. Finally, the bread is so good freshly grilled but, I'd like to have choices that will be hearty without carbs. This menu is small and several of the choices are rice, bread pasta.Service was great but we arrived later and I can imagine it can be tough as it still was busy at 9pm.One final weird thing. The chef at the bar calling orders and checking plates before they are delivered, wipes the plates along the edges for presentation but the cloth then gets set on the bar counter? Over and over? I can't help but think there's all kinds of bacteria on bar tops, just like your own kitchen counter and that concerns me. One time, I saw him use his bare hands to reposition the fried egg on the fried rice dish. He touches the receipt printed out paper and machine right in front of him and rubs his finger under his nose and then touches cooked food? Maybe I'm a germaphobe but once food is cooked that bacteria or germ is there to stay. YUCK.I'm not certain we'll return for a second chance. Maybe for a drink and an appetizer to see if the salt level is always high.

Upscale leave kids at home. Oysters are best I've had in 50 years. Not large just delicious. Split appetizer with husband. Had curry cauliflower appetizer as my dinner. Absolutely delicious. Duck fried rice was good but will probably try clams next time. Date cake dessert was amazing. Enough for 2. Absolutely will return. It's pricey but worth it if you like interesting food.

The food was amazingly prepared! Best dish ever is the Italian beef dish with ox tail. Crispy cauliflower and baby back ribs were excellent too! Chef Alex and his team are so talented and will give you food better than you would ever imagine!!

Love to seat at Hush’s bar to observe the chefs at work. For me it’s not just a meal; it’s an exhibition of skill and a celebration of food. The warm glow accentuated the lively yet sophisticated vibe of the

Went to Hush for the first time last night. Upon entering the restaurant, the aroma from the open kitchen hits you. It was amazing. You can just tell these people love food. There was a lot of happy chatter, but not loud like a Fox restaurant. The Chef was laughing with staff and clients. Such a great example of how a restaurant should be. The food was amazing, and the server was gracious enough to mark everything that was gluten-free. It was at least 80%. We will definitely return.Dietary restrictions: Very easy for gf

Stopped in for a drink only during power hour. We had the Meet Me at Midnight and and another cocktail that we don't recall the name of. Cool vibe and our bartenders MIke & Sam were very personable and made a great cocktail. We had already eaten so we didn't try the food but it looked great and they have a very interesting and inventive menu.

I had heard Hush was a must-try spot among the best restaurants in the Phoenix area, and the hype was well justified. Hush offers an eclectic menu of artistically presented dishes that explore unique flavor combinations with exciting results. The portions are perfect for sharing a variety of selections with your date, and speaking of dates, the date cake is fantastic! The atmosphere is pleasant and unpretentious, and the service is professional and efficient without being overbearing. The food takes center stage at Hush, and it puts on a show worth the price of admission. My wife and I look forward to returning soon for an encore.
