The assistant manager Matt Smolinski is the worst. SHOWED up for my appointment early and was immediately asked of I was going to buy the extra insurance which I did not ans he rolled his eyes and said the car would be ready in 15 minutes. After almost 2 hours of sitting waiting I noticed that anyone who purchased the insurance got a car and anyone who declined was either told there was no cars available or to wait. Very bad business

Staff was extremely rude over the phone and in person. When I went to pick up my car was not clear about any of the charges, and when it was higher then originally stated he said he didn’t know why and could not give me any itemized charges. Seemed very fraudulent and dishonest. and then when I tried to get my insurance company and my lawyer involved, he quickly said he will cancel it out and then kept saying it’s already canceled out and I can’t go back so it seemed as if they were doing something very dishonest will never be going back, and I would definitely be cautious going to this Hertz or any other location. Very unfortunate.

Very bad customer service and I booked reservation online but when I got there the rude employee said oh you should have call, oh it's a 2 hrs window bla bla. We don't have anything for you sir..if I had a chance to give -0 ⭐ I would have .

TRASH DON'T WASTE UR TIME. Got there had my confirmation ready no one on the site except the employees I walk in both employees see me yet i waited at least 10 minutes for them to at least acknowledge I was there. Then they proceeded to be rude saying they dont have a reservation for me acting like im dumb for coming. Took them another 5 mins to find my reservation. Then said they dont have a car for me all this while I HAD A CONFIRMED reservation????? and while continuing to be absurdly rude.

The rental process itself was not that bad. I booked a Mazda 3, but the car that I was provided was a Kia Forte (which actually was a good car, loved it).The employee there told me that since on the app it says "Mazda 3 or equivalent" there might be a chance that this can happen.EDIT: also the employees there were GREAT. they let me use their charger which saved my skin since I had 5% phone battery. It was pouring outside and I didn't wanna be stranded there that day without a phone.Since I had a long drive ahead, I also took the collision and liability insurance. Acceptable prices, Didn't want to worry about accidents or dents.the travel was smooth, no issues with car. the card return process was smooth, I took pictures of the mileage, the fuel, the car itself, and dropped off the key in the drop box since it was after-hours.The only - that I experienced was with the payment process. Which is not something that is related to the physical rental place, but a problem with Hertz itself.I was being double charged for the rental company, I called the customer support of Hertz to figure out the problem, the customer support did not have sufficient knowledge of the issue, thought that the double charge was correct and that "it's actually the correct price of the car", she eventually was unable to help me. I got so frustrated that I had to call my bank and figure out the issue on that end instead of Hertz.So, smooth experience, just beware of how much they charge you. ALWAYS save your receipt and pay attention to the costs. you'll never know if you're gonna need it later complications.

This place ruined my Christmas. Had a reservation waited for almost an hour. then when I went to the counter I was told the only vehicle they had was electric. Was gonna drive home for the holidays, I can't stop every 200 miles to recharge. Also since I had to wait so long every other rental place was closed. Do not waste your time or money at this place.

If you are renting through Uber DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION, THEY DON'T HONOR RESERVATIONS THEY WILL DENY YOU WITH 30 CARS IN THE LOT, THEY DON'T MAKE ANY EFFORT TO GIVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE TO THEIR UBER CUSTOMERS AT ALL, IF I COULD GIVE THIS LOCATION NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD! DO NOT RENT HERE!!!

Long wait times and lack of customer service is a common theme among service industries these days and this location is no exception.Pay the extra fee and head to the airport location or Tempe location.

The worst experience I’ve ever had by a rental car company BY FAR I would give 0 stars if I had the option to. I’m renting while my car is in the shop and they were supposed to pick me up from the shop. I called too many times to remind them to pick me up and they were not picking up. I got there and waited a whole one hour just to pick up a car. I tried calling to extend my rental and they wouldn’t pick up so I’m currently working with a Hertz location closer to where I live. I hope management sees this and gets things back in order over there. Avoid at all costs!!

look at recent reviews, the reply is "we are very sorry..." with no action taken, the staff are very rude and they just want to charge you extra(specially the blond guy)

We reserved a gas operated car and when we got there the guy told us that we must either pay 100$ more or get an electric car, anyhow, we ended up paying more! this is a TRUE scam, not even that, the front desk guy is soooo rude!

Visited this location today for an Uber vehicle rental and the first thing out of the employees mouth is it will be $100 more than what the app showed me, I literally walked out. Pathetic

It was actually Dollar rent a car also. It was a good experience and the rental was way lower than at the airport.

Left us stranded. We pre-paid for a rental, but when we arrived to pick up the car, they had given the car to someone else. Apparently the pick up window is two hours, even if you pre-pay. Would have been nice to know that in advance. Not written anywhere, never communicated, and according to Hertz corporate, not even a real policy.
