I have been with EDLC for several years and have seen two different physicians, both of whom are wonderful. Unfortunately, I am leaving the practice and switching to a new endocrinologist. EDLC has not returned several of my phone calls and voicemails the past couple of weeks and I have been without my medication now for longer than I am comfortable with. Despite my phone calls and voicemails, EDLC has not responded to me or to my pharmacy’s requests to refill my prescription. This is a daily medication that regulates my hormones, I have been taking it for over 10 years, and this is the longest I’ve been without it. Their office seems to be short staffed, something I understand, but I am not willing to be patient at the expense of my daily medication. It is unacceptable. I do not recommend this endocrinology group.

They just canceled my appointment today since I didn't get labs. I am a nurse and surely know the importance of getting, but I didn't know about the order since the last appointment was via phone to review labs I already completed. The person on the phone kept hollering at me that I didn't do what I was supposed to do and said there was no point in keeping the appt and wanted me to reschedule. Thanked her for her time and said I would get another referral from my pcp for a new referral. I guess you are supposed to get lab orders telepathically. I received 8 reminders about this appointment in the last 10 days, maybe one of those could have told me to complete labs. Edit:I received a letter about 3 hrs after this post firing me from the practice. If I get a charge for their canceling of this visit, I will be contacting the better business bureau.

All you need to know is that it’s been confirmed by multiple doctors that I was completely falsely diagnosed here. And also, charged 2 $100 no show fees when THEY cancelled my appointments the night before. If I could give -5 stars I would.DON’T GO HERE!!!!

This place is horrible with communication. They don’t return calls on time and it is extremely difficult to get prior authorization on time. The only person that seems to be helpful is the one who answers the phone. Other than that it’s been a nightmare dealing with this place.

I was a new patient yesterday and they informed me that the provider was running behind due to computer issues, and I appreciated the communication. I was there a total of 2 hours, and I don't even care!! This is the best specialty office I have been to. All the Staff were amazing and kind. The provider I saw Darrelan Mcbride actually listened to my concerns and actually put me on treatment for my PCOS. She actually cared that I struggled with several chronic conditions and wants to actually help treat my PCOS. hands down one of the best endocrinologist I have been to.

TERRIBLE customer service! Getting someone to return your phone call is HIGHLY unlikely. BACK TO BACK excuses for the poor communication. I wouldn't recommend this office to ANYONE. I was provided a wrong prescription, luckily I know enough about medication to know what was prescribed was wrong. Requested a call back from the prescribing NP took 2 weeks to get a call back.Needless to say I will be finding a new Provider!!

Make sure you know what your deductible is. Not only did the office charge a higher amount, but they also charged for a phone call follow up that was not an appointment. I have been calling the office for 7 months with only 1 return phone call in August to tell me that the refund would be issued. It is now November, with no refund. In addition to that, they diagnosed me incorrectly!

Absolutely the worst and most unorganized medical assistants and doctors I have ever seen. Don't expect your persciptions to be sent to your pharmacy. 3 phone calls and no response back well over the 72 hour request!

I am existing patient of this office (or was until today). I recently had a total thyroidectomy (not planned) done by my surgeon's office. I was directed to follow up with my endocrinologist to discuss the pathology to see if further treatment was needed and to get a prescription for levothyroxine. When I called the office I was informed they only have 1 provider and that they are booking 6 weeks out. While I do understand their situation, there was zero effort made to try and get me seen for an URGENT medical matter as an existing patient. I would have been satisfied with a 5 minute tele medicine appointment to at least get my medication. By the time they would see me my body would be completely void of T4 and I would be sick with hypothyroidism. I would NOT recommend a doctor's office that refuse to make any effort to see an existing patient with an urgent medical matter. This is not something I can have treated at Urgent Care, and my only choice now is to hope my PCP will help me.

Went from very positive, to very negative. While they have done a good job as endocrinologists (minimum low bar, really) their billing ethics are poor enough that even their own billing team will not support them on the phone, and will absolutely bus chuck them because they get it so often.I began to notice that I was not being billed to the actual provider I was seeing last year after my thyroid cancer came under control. I am billed as seeing the head provider, although I actually only see an NP.On top of that, said NP has had multiple "family emergencies" over the last several months, so I have not actually seen or talked to them, I have done telehealth appointments with whatever backup is on hand. Also, these telehealth visits have been billed as in person visits each time. This does feel like billing fraud at this point so despite being able to uh. Do their jobs? Great? I cant actually recommend this practice based on billing ethics alone.

Everything was fine until I asked questions, then I was told by both Dr Kurtz and Dr Akhunji told me to go somewhere else. Very unsympathetic, not compassionate at all & very unprofessional. They must have something to hide if they refuse to answer questions.

Switched to this office after not being able to get in with my previous endocrinologist despite worsening symptoms that were severely impacting my life, Dr.Akhunji was so wonderful. She took the time to listen to my concerns, address my questions, and clearly explain my treatment plan. Ty at the front desk is always kind and welcoming. So glad i switched to this office!

Have a great relationship with my NP but the office staff has gone down the toilet. I am a type1 on a insulin pump and continues glucose monitor and need a prescription refilled. It has been over 2 months and no one has returned my phone calls. Medronicss has called them almost daily and has had no response. My live dependson this prisciption refill how can they be so neglectful, my life is in their hands and no one cares. Although I love my NP I believe they nolonger care about their patients. Run fast from this practice.

I have had horrific communication from this medical office. I have waited 2 months for a simple prior authorization. When I ask to speak to management it's like they don't have any managerial personnel. I cannot get a call back from anyone in regard to my medical questions. It is extremely frustrating that simple needs get turned into month long waiting periods for medical care that is needed. I will not recommend this practice to anyone and I truly hope they can fix this "short staff" problem that is blamed to be the reason for it all for the rest of their poor patients.

HORRIBLE Practice! Do not go! They used to be good by the main doctor got a divorce and it all went downhill from there. They billed me 2 years after the fact and never billed my insurance. They have no real doctors left, just PAs and assistants.
