Second time we have stayed here. It's right next to the Cracker Barrel but we didn't get a chance to eat there because the hotel breakfast was plenty good for us.

El Pedregal. What Happened? This once treasure stands as a living example of what bad management is really capable of. The Heard Museum was forced out after years of drawing thousands of erreplacable visitors to the center by an unfair rent increase. They moved and the damage began. The outcome is what we all sadly see today. This tragic loss of a beautifuland loved center seems to have no way to be protected from destruction. Could there be a wise investor group out there somewhere who would convince The Boulders Resort ownership to sell and revive this cultural wonder? We can only hope before we see this standing piece of art gone from our views forever.

It has a very peaceful inner patio with trees and a small waterfall leading to a pond with Koi.It seems most businesses are still closed, but there are a handful open that keep this small New Mexico style mall alive. Mainly a gift shop, an art gallery and a restaurant.

2023 - it is closed. There is only one shop (very nice ladies who are super helpful) and one restaurant. This site should be updated to reflect that this place is closed.

This in it's hay day with such s beautiful setting was amazing. Great restaurant, Music outside weekly, lots of shops.. today unfortunately it's a shell of what it could be. Whatever happened here to make it change I'll never know but I remember when it was very busy all the time and miss what they had... It's in one of the very wealthy spots around and hard to imagine why it has not been resurrected.

We took our morning walk around the area. They get 5 stars for the settings which is very pretty. But read on. Upper and lower area are for storefronts. However, it is a ghost town here and for that I give them a 1 star. Many, many years ago El Pedregal was busy with stores and some eateries. There were free concerts and social events held here. Now it is pretty vacated with three businesses here. There is a specialty clothing store, a gallery and a restaurant. Frankly I don't know how the few vendors here make it. It has been fairly empty for many years now. What a shame, it has so much potential. There is a stage/amphitheater on the main level with beautiful water source and falls. The center is kept up nicely. Plenty of free parking in the rear and side of the building but not much to see.

Dinner was lovely outside. Service excellent. Food and drinks pricey. Only problem: there were eight of us and we were not given separate checks. It caused a great deal of confusion.

There's not really much left here aside from the cantina. Hope more businesses can revive this shopping mall

Was here years ago and it is still enchanting today. Loved the ease of just walking and deciding where to stop and where to just look. Store owners are friendly as is their staff and products are amazing and well priced. So nice to have this wonderful place to visit time and time again and leave with the anticipation of a return visit very soon.........................
