The owner, Diana Ontiveros, is not shy of yelling at both customers and employees alike. Behind the customer's back she will do everything in her power to make sure her front desk employee du jour is aware of the lack of knowledge that her customers have. It's not very often she will say nice things about the people paying her. I know this, because I worked there for a short amount of time (2 months). In which timeframe I discovered there were many predecessors which similar short employment stints. The workroom delivers good work, but if your reputation means anything to you, do not shop or work here. Highly toxic.

I recently was in need of a New Couch for my remodeled home, and I could only find mediocre quality on the market.
Diana at Desert Design is Magical!
She worked to making it easy to find the perfect items. The entire Desert Design Team went above and beyond, in getting me the most spectacular fabrics and design. Showed me details I could have never imagined. Always kept me up to date on the developments and estimated completion of the project. The couch arrived in excellent condition, exactly as described and even better than anything I have seen!
I'm sure I am making them sound expensive, but rather they were the most competitive on the market and in most cases, better priced than others would have charged. She is Marvelous and I'm thrilled with the quality and styling, and will definitely will be telling everyone about this experience. Highly recommended!"

I was struggling to find six new dining chairs to go with my two Restoration Hardware chairs on the ends of my table. After two failed attempts of ordering sets of chairs to only then return them I decided to keep the old chairs and have them reupholster. I was thrilled when Diana told me she could order the exact fabric from Restoration Hardware. I love the final results! It was a joy working with Diana and Pam. They are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and give overall great customer service. Their attention to detail is exceptional. I also love that they offer a pick up and delivery service. It was a great experience and I highly recommend Desert Design Group.

I highly recommend Diana and Desert Design. They really know their craft and the quality of workmanship was top notch. She really helped guide me thru the process and the finished banquette looks amazing. I consulted many upholsterers and none were as helpful or seemed to have the experience to make it look so good.

Desert Design Group created an incredible upholstered seating area in our sunken conversation pit. Diana was so knowledgeable and provided a great selection of fabrics. Desert Design Group is a team of talented professionals that offer custom design work to please even the most exacting client with the customer service of a family run business. They have the utmost integrity and will not disappoint. They were patient with me when I needed time to make a decision. I never felt pressured. They created pieces that I could never find in a retail store. My home feels like a showcase of art. We have completed two major projects with them and feel pampered in our luxurious accommodations. The custom furniture they built has unique style, comfort, and practicality. I sleep soundly with our new draperies with blackout shades. They communicate clearly during all phases of the project, exceeding expectations for timeliness, quality, and service.Highly recommended!!
