Horrible customer service and incredibly long hold times to talk

Absolute garbage. On the phone with them for 3 hours at the dealership. Sends a link to be completed, receive text it has been completed, then next day get a new link saying more photos needed. Car is finished at this point so new photos can’t be done. The amount of hoops to jump through to provide evidence to get coverage for something I am paying for is ridiculous. Do not waste your time.

Worst warranty company in the history of mankind. Have called 3 times and waited 45 minutes on hold before giving up. This is an absolute scam. How can you expect people to wait for more than 45 minutes? Unacceptable. The government should shut them down. SPEND YOUR TIME ON HOLD GIVING THEM THE REVIEW THEY DESERVE.
Response: No, we don't want to waste even more of our time trying to contact a supervisor. You know the hold times. You need to fix this and stop playing games with people's time at work.

Car has been finished at the repair shop for days but CNA will not send them payment. When I try to call in to check payment status I'm left on a indefinite hold for over an hour. Awful customer service very disappointed after the amount I spent on the policy.

Simple known issue with my model of vehicle and already receiving pushback and delays over the cost of part. Service contracts are scams. Waste of $ and zero regard for their customers' time.

Had a chance to speak with Alex Perez who used to work for GM. Let me tell you, this dude is one of the best customer service representatives I spoke to within your company & one of the best I’ve spoken too in a long time. He literally answered all of my questions exactly to the point I was looking for. I called quite a few times within the past couple of days trying to get things figured out because the company I was getting my vehicle fixed with doesn’t really go out of their way to work with warranty company’s. Alex, once again thank you very much you saved me a lot of stress & time today! Btw, the dude I spoke with in claims before Alex was absolutely god awful and kept cutting me off. Believe his name was Michael. I wish I could actually write the choice words I have for him on what I actually think. One of the worst customer service people I’ve spoke too. Literally refused to answer any of my questions as I was trying to get a few questions answered for the repair company to make it fast and easy for them when they called in. Fire him… he’s making you look awful.

To everyone that complain this company is the worst! I work with them everyday and by far they are the most easiest. One guy complaint about breakdown, well duh you have to authorized it and if it mechanical failure they pay for the whole job but if not and it’s your fault why would they cover? And for the other complaint about a rental, why would you get in a rental before the work even approve? I would never set my customer up like that. None sense complaint this company is great and easy to work with

I was really hoping that I was going to be able to leave a better review than this one, I really tried.
The reason I am leaving a one star review is because I purchased a MaxCare warranty when I purchased my vehicle from CarMax in July 2023. I purchased a used 2017 Ford Focus RS and have absolutely loved the car.
In May 2024, I went to get the undertray removed from the vehicle since it was dragging on the ground. I brought it to Hoffman Ford and while they examined the underside of the car to remove the tray, they noted an oil leak. That oil leak was traced to a turbo oil feed line and the work to replace the part was approved. When the technician went to do the repair, it was noted that the block was cross threaded and that to permanently fix the oil leak, a replacement engine block was recommended.
Unfortunately after that they dealt with the CDK global outage which is software used by the dealership to communicate and access records, etc. I then moved from that area to another area within PA. I restarted this process at a new mechanic that I found through repair pal. Ultimately the warranty company denied the claim for a replacement engine after sending out an inspector.
I’ve called several times to try and get an understanding of what provision in the signed legal contract allows them to deny my claim and requested, on 3 separate occasions, to have a denial letter sent to my address on file so I could at least understand why it was being denied. Not only have I never received those letters well over a month after the first was requested, I could not get an associate on the phone to plainly explain what part of that 6 page legal contract allows them to deny my claim. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, my request was denied.
At this point the car has been hard down for over 2 months and is no longer able to be driven in its current condition. Seemingly no one is willing to help me with this issue and I don’t understand why.
So for that reason I have to give a single star, I’d give 0 stars if I could. This company is manipulative, they train their staff to say or not say certain things, and make it extremely difficult to navigate the warranty claim process and to get a clear and concise answer to a question. Maybe I’m asking for too much, but I feel as though if there are 2 entities that are part of a legal contract and the controlling entity is the one who wrote the contract, I do not understand why no one can speak to the contract.
Avoid this company, their products, and their false claims of helping you get your car back on the road. They only want your money and will find any reason to not pay for a covered repair as outlined in the contract.

So, my partners car has a warranty with company. Had it towed into the dealership for repairs. Metal flakes were found in the engine and the transmission needs to be replaced. All this company offered was $5800. And they wanted the broken down to see the cause of the metal flakes. Which I have to pay for the labor to be done. I mean, I expected some out of pocket expenses. But if the warranty company wants to break down an engine to find the cause, they should put the money towards the breakdown. If your looking for a car warranty company. I don't recommend them at all.

I talked to two ladies so far about my claim from my car being totaled and it has been the most pleasant conversations I've had in this whole messed up time when dealing with insurance stuff. Honestly own them a lot because my mental state is in shambles dealing with 10 different people I'm talking to right now. A++++ job

PRO+MAX plan is not worth the price!
Tired to file a claim turns out CNA National will NOT cover the replacement of a windshield only repairs.
Windshield repairs are cheap and more than likely you will need a full replacement in the event of an incident. I advice saving your money and not buying CNA National plans.
Big wasted of money learn from my mistakes and save your money. I'm going to have to cover the cost of a windshield out of pocket.

Finally was able to purchase my dream car from Carmax. About a year later it starting having problems, but was not concerned because I had purchased the extended warranty from CNA. After almost two years of trying to get CNA to cover the engine replacement. CNA decided to only authorize the lower cost repair which ultimately destroyed the entire engine. After trying to get them to fix the problem they caused. Even though I paid for the CNA contract, CNA clearly explained that I was not their customer but rather Carmax was. Left me with a non functioning car. Carmax did agree to replace the engine with a used engine charging me $ 2,300.00 to do it. CNA must have felt some fault since they did pay Carmax for some of the repair. CNA states on their website "CNA National takes pride in our fast, hassle-free process. We want to get the customer back on the road as quickly as possible." I did not have that experience.

CNA is so cheap!! I paid out of pocket $31.75. But They sent me a check of $29.50, minus the tax. So so so So cheap!! Run from this company!!!
Very disappointed! Regrets getting CNA. CNA did not paid for my tire replacement in months and now I’m back for a slow leak and Toyota refused my service because CNA didn’t make the payment. phone lines is like a maze. Can never get to a person. The wait time is long and no one picked up.
P.S. I spoke to a representative and he said the payment is approved but the dealership need to call payment department. I asked him to transfer me but I waited 10+minutes and never get to talk to the next person. I’ve tried to calling back multiple times but never get thru!
Run!!!! This company is scam!!!
