This is the second time we’ve brought our vehicles into Spencers’s in San Tan Valley and they’ve been nothing but polite, honest, hard-working and successful at all the repairs we’ve had done. We appreciate them and will continue to bring our fleet here.!

I set an appointment with Spencer Auto online since I was having auto issues after business hours.So I opted to drop it off the night before ( since I work at 5am) and had an appointment for 7am the day after. Around 8:30am I didn’t hear anything from them and reached out to make sure everything was ok. To my surprise they didn’t even notice my car( even though it was parked right in front of the shop) and asked why I didn’t put it in the drop off box. I went to advise them that I looked all over the front and side of the building and didn’t find anything. The rep told me it was in the back. We laughed as I told him as a female I wouldn’t walk in the back of a building at night. He asked what was wrong with the car and gave me a quote of the hour charge. Told him that’s fine just want to know what’s wrong with it.
About 45 mins later they tell me it’s the radio and it’ll take over an hour to remove it and put it back and still have to run test. Now I know a little about cars and worked for deal ships and auto repair shops. It took me a total of probably 10 mins max to remove the radio and put it back. So I already knew they were trying to play games. I told them they didn’t have to do anything and I’ll pick it up.
They did an inspection and recommended items to be changed that was completed Oct of 2023. I asked for pricing for the items since there were other things I know I needed but being a single mother would have to spread them out. As of today still didn’t get the information even though I told them I didn’t get it and resent the email to send it to. So I ended up going to another shop and gave them the list I was provided. They actually took their time and did a complete inspection and was shocked they asked me to redo things that they confirmed was recently completed.
I read reviews and really had high hopes for this shop since it’s right up the street. But they will try to make you get work done that doesn’t need to be done and just waste peoples money and time. I personally will not return nor recommend this place if you are looking for an honest shop.

I had my teenage son bring his 14 year old car in to simply have new lightbulbs installed. His current bulbs work fine, passed inspection, but could be brighter… They stated that they wouldn’t install just bulbs and quoted him $1200.00 for the whole new light assembly because the lenses were dull (which can be cleaned)… we left with nothing but a detailed 5 page report of $6k+ in other work they “recommended”… The kid literally just went there for light bulbs!!!
The week before, I brought in my Dad’s back up car, an older suv… they basically turned me away because the car was too old for them to work on.
I really wanted to find a local garage and give these guys regular business, but unless your car is a spanking new vehicle, they just are not it.

Took my van in for a diagnostic could not get them to figure out why it was overheating. I got refunded my money back because nothing was solved.Thank you very much to the management.

My wife’s Acadia had the check engine light come on. I contacted Spencer’s on Combs and spoke with Alonzo and he had me bring the vehicle in the same day. Spencer’s was able to diagnose the trouble and correct it quickly. I have been going to Spencer’s for several years and will continue to do business with them. Their customer service is outstanding and I have (and will continue) t recommend Spencer’s to anyone that needs repairs. I was even given a veteran discount for the repairs. Thank you very much Alonzo and Spencer’s for a job very well done.
